"I do, yeah." When Emira met his eyes as they walked together, she found herself smiling just a little bit more, now feeling more comfortable with the talk of seeing each other again. Chuckling to his nudge, she bit down on her lower lip for a moment and grinned. "Dinner and either the theater or opera sounds great to me," she said and added, "I'd say yes to symphony, although I feel like I'd fall asleep during the performance," she admitted with a soft laugh, knowing well that was embarrassing. The idea of a date with Elijah sounded great and she was already excited for it. "My family is doing well, thank you," she said before chuckling to the trashy TV question. "Right now, I'm watching Love Island and Love is Blind. What about you? What kind of TV do you watch at home to relax?"
"You really think so?" A brow quirked as his eyes turned to her rather than their path ahead as they strolled. With her having requested him to flirt with her Elijah was already wearing interest and amusement on his features. The boldness, as much as it made her silly, was very attractive. "Then maybe we should hangout again, just with more purpose this time," he suggested, his shoulder gently nudging into her. "How about dinner Thursday night? If you like theater, the opera, or the symphony maybe we could head into the city." If he was going to do a date with her then he wanted to really make it so, as it wasn't often he got to show his flirty or romantic side. In all actuality he was often too focused on everything else to remember that there was that side to him. "How's the family," Elijah asked of genuine curiosity. "And what's this trashy TV show you're into?"

elijah & mallory
Mallory's head fuckin' hurt. But, what else was new? To put it mildly, he wasn't in good spirits. Worse still, he was irritated. It wasn't like he expected much -- he knew very well how fucked the power grid was and any kind of generator was just asking for trouble. They were too loud -- which would invite all kinds of bad news. Those... things, whatever the hell they were, weren't so hard to deal with, not when their numbers were small.
However...
It was the human element that made things complicated. People did bad shit when they were desperate. Snap judgements were necessary, but difficult to make. They were all just trying to survive -- bad or good no longer mattered. It was me and mine, end of story.
Not that Mallory was some kind of bleeding heart. But, they had helped him and he wasn't the sort that went around not returning favors. He owed these people his life and that wasn't something he took lightly at all.
Even if, like today, they grated on his nerves.
He spotted who he was looking for as he rounded a corner, signature scowl in place. "Hey asshole," he greeted Elijah, not bothering with pleasantries. "Where the hell are the batteries we found two days ago? I need them."
Did he explain why he needed them? No, of course not. He wasn't feeing very forthcoming this morning. He had a sneaking suspicion the batteries he was talking about were currently being used for something idiotic, which already had him in a foul mood just thinking about it.

After a pretty eventful morning, Juno decided to make a trip over to Tres Amigos and grab lunch for Elijah and themself. Nothing too grand, some chicken fajita’s they ordered before leaving work then make a pit stop at the corner store for some water bottles and juice. They had failed to ask him ahead of time if he wanted something, but with how busy he had been they figured he wouldn’t mind. It wasn’t as if he had brought anything to eat that day anyways. Not a very unusual thing for the older male. Juno also hadn’t bothered to get anything for lunch even as they expected the morning to be quite cramped. Walking back into the building, Juno made a direct line to his office - food in hand - and placed it before him. “You need to take a moment and eat.” they instructed, walking over to their own section of the office and rolling their chair to his desk. They could have taken a seat in one of the regular office chairs, but Juno was rather proud of their personal one. Something that wasn’t in any way provided by their parents who refused to allow Juno to have expenses of their own. To this day, despite their age, they found comfort in paying for their bills. Home, car, insurance, the list was endless but Juno figured it was the least they could do after the world of trouble they put them through. “Either plate, it doesn’t matter. I’m taking the liberty of eating here, if that is alright with you.”

"Nope." Elijah states simply when he sees his sister taking strides over to his cabin. Perched on the steps, he's decided that an afternoon free of a shift is exactly what he needs and that Nora is more than likely trying to rope him into something else. "Already done my fair share today, thank you very much." he adds proudly, fumbling through his jacket pocket for a cigarette that he stole from Jackson. "You know what you should do, Nor?" Elijah then grins, waving a hand towards the cabin that he blocks with long legs. "Ask Joshua." Jacob. "Joe? The Marshall himbo that you keep pretending to hate. Because obviously, that's how you and Tammie do things with your...twin-thing."

“Now by no means let me interrupt, ” there’s a small smile on Gia’s lips as she finally approaches the booth, having spent the last minutes having second thoughts. Not cause she found him intimidating, though she probably should. But for the reasons of how many times could he say or show he had no interest in mentoring her. “You would rather be here drinking beer?” She wouldn’t peg him for the type. Then again it was no secret how little she knew about this part of the world. The person that Elijah had been talking to before she presented herself looked slightly relieved of her interruption or such was given as they gathered their things, quick mumbles about catching up with him later as they left. If Marcel thought that Elijah would do good as her mentor, then she believed it as well. There was no ounce in her that doubted him for a second. Yet it seemed appeared as if she was asking for Elijah’s first born child. “Thought you said we were meeting at your place. Failed to mention this establishment is included.” she began once they were alone, waiting for his reaction. For any detail, no matter how small, would let her know if she was making any progress.

Jaz watched the dude walk out of the place and figured he's go chat with him a bit. Chugging the last of his drink he placed it down on the bar and headed on out after him. Catching up to the other with a slight job, before patting him on the back and asking. "Hey, you're that weatherman right?"

THAT REMINDS ME- I need to draw another entry for the explanation posts.. I think I'll give a rundown on the two (three? sane AU Eddie isn't really his own thing) versions of Edgar and how his relationship with The Main Antagonist Dude (Eli/Jack) impacts the narrative
I'll definitely need some input from Ben for Elijah's portion, though
#it's a shame tho bc eli's universe is nowhere near as developed...#bc i have jack brainworm and it's much easier to decide things when you control the two MCs#vs when you have to have an in depth convo before you make any decisions bc the antagonist is your friend's#also Benny has a really hard time putting his thoughts about Elijah into words. he has trouble with expressing characterization in general#not in a narrative way but in a 'i can't talk about my own characters and explain things because only one person speaks Benninese' way#im very aware that it looks like i make all the big decisions but that's why i push so hard to remind everybody of ben's influence!!!#half of the characters aren't mine after all!#some of the most important narrative decisions (jack and isaac's EXISTENCE; basically everything abt their family including maddie;#the deaths of a lot of the children; eli's motivations in general which helped me feel out and learn how i wanted jack to be etc)#were his idea!! and im sure there's way more but i can't even remember.them bc at this point they're so integral to the foundation of the#narrative itself and its themes. i am the biggest ben supporter#i promise i am not the only man behind the curtain he is also very present#rox rumblings#me things#oc ramblings#beanie tag#i'm just like... the spokesperson. i am the face of the brand but we are both behind the scenes coming up with the formula together#i have the big fancy flourishes but we are both cooking

After his latest adventures down in Mexico Benito didn’t think that he’d be out again so soon. He didn’t want to head out, but he did need the job done. He had more than enough people to send, but he also wanted to get his sister off of his back. He knew that EJ had expressed some interest in his business, and because of this Benny wanted to give the guy a chance to prove his worth. He was a great security, and Benito whole heartedly believed that EJ would have his back regardless of anything.
“Thanks for coming in on your day off,” Benito began, sounding rather formal which he did whenever he was constructing business. The target in his sight was some spoiled rich boy from up in Vermont who had just moved to the Salem area and was already being investigated by police for rape. That had been what alerted Benito’s people as well as the fact that the boy was some politician’s son, or some shit.
