Link's not tough on the eyes, no two ways about it, and I'd imagine this rating fluctuates a reasonable amount with the particular outfit/presentation he's rockin' on any given day; but, in general, she just thinks he's a Reasonably Good Looking Guy™, without feeling too strongly about him one way or another.

The initial temptation to throttle him aside and in spite of what her caterwauling + pouting might lead one to believe: Honey knows Link is, at his core, a good man—and one with an unduly heavy mantle of expectation on his shoulders, which he bares with more grace than anyone could/should rightly ask from him. She has a weakspot for the heroic/knightly types, especially in wanting to see them find happiness for themselves, not just perpetually sacrificing for others.

(+💗/ ++💗 potentially) → While we haven't explored it as much in their dynamic, just yet, I imagine that he, Honey, and Zelda have (or develop) a unique bond. The golden trio out of time, remnants of a world stolen from them... he and she may never be quite as closely tethered to one another as they both are to Zel, but the fact remains that she cares deeply for him on a fundamental level, and will strive to do what it takes to help him succeed and be happy.

      It was an idyllic way to spend an afternoon, really.

      Helping the Princess into her dress was the first step; an act the practiced fashion connoisseur followed by ensuring the gown sat just right: aligning the off-shoulder sleeves and adjusting the billows of her skirt to avert any unsightly gathers, double-checking the sinches which framed Zelda's lower back... only once that was settled did she move on to delicately, preciously combing the other's hair so it lay with all the same elegant precision.

      Zelda deserved all that fuss, and so much more, as far as Honey was concerned. All dedication and tireless resolve, unfailingly devoted to her work and her people... it was a rare occasion that the Princess had time to be doted on, let alone if she'd allow it.

      And this!— this was a matter of the utmost importance! Romance! Suitors! Courtship! The whole grand game of it all! Why, her very future, ( and thus, the future of the whole KINGDOM! ) , hung in the balance—

      ❝ What? ❞ Fussing faltered just long enough for the fairy to pull a few inches back, before puffing her cheeks and looking distinctly unimpressed. ❝ Oh no, Zelly, don't you dare start with that—you look absolutely radiant and you know it.❞

      Head shaking as she moved to set the hairbrush aside, Honey circled to Zelda's front and gently lifted the lady's jaw with her fingertips, tipped up to meet her gaze, ( idly checking the other's makeup as she did ): ❝ And isn't this already the third date that poor, sweet, astronomically talented man has tried to pin down for this portrait? Absolutely not. We're doing this thing; you're just going to have to sit there and be beautiful for a few hours, and that's that. ❞

It was an absurd use of time, really.

Zelda sat in a dress that was not meant to be walked in, draped in layers of delicate silk, pooling at the floor around her until it encircled her in an island of sorts. The artist in charge of her royal portrait would be arriving soon—her betrothal portrait, meant to entice potential suitors of status across various lands.

But what use was that to a Princess who could not take time away from her duty to court, let alone marry?

"I am still not certain about this dress, Honey..." Zelda sighed, shifting in her seat. "Perhaps we should instruct the artist to return another day...?"

The four Sages were called back into the past by Terrako and they remember it happening

Tulin got to meet his hero, Revali, and decided to be just like him, adopting his idol’s brash personality and drive. He practises Revali’s Gale and eventually comes up with his own way to show off his mastery of wind, and when trouble hits his home he rushes to fix it on his own to prove how strong he has become and because, like Revali, he can’t stand idly by while he knows there’s still things he can do.

For Yunobo, when he goes back and meets his ancestor Daruk, he is a very timid and reactive Goron. He needs a push from others to come up with ideas and carry plans through, and when bad things happen to him his first instinct is to use his fire magic as a shield, to wait until the threat has passed by or somebody else has come to save him. But when he is sent back in time to Divine Beast vah Rudania, for the first time he has to be the one doing the saving. Daruk encourages Yunobo and is proud of him from the moment they meet, and it’s this support that gives Yunobo the confidence to help fight against Calamity Ganon, and to start YunoboCo when he gets home.

For Sidon, meeting his family from 100 years ago is bittersweet. He is proud that he was able to protect his sister, and it’s a comfort to know there is a version of him who will grow up alongside Mipha because of his bravery and fighting prowess. But as much joy as he got from seeing her, hugging her, and hearing her voice again, it just reminds him of how unfair her death was, of just how young she was when she died and how he is now older even though he’s the younger sibling. And at the end of the war, when he’s returned to their original time, he has to readjust to her absence all over again, and in light of that is it really a shock he’d have her statue moved further away from his home? And it also explains why he’s so desperate to protect Yona from the sludge.

Riju in AoC still a new ruler to her people, despite her accomplishments in BotW, she still feels guilty over the temporary loss of the Thunder Helm and isn’t sure if she can lead the Gerudo. She has a lot of confidence but is quick to falter when things go wrong. Urbosa treats Riju as a capable fighter despite her young age, and teaches her that she should never give up, to keep trying even when her resolve falters. There is always something you can do, even when it’s just stalling for time until help can arrive. Urbosa guides her in mastering the Thunderhelm, and possibly begins teaching her to summon lightning herself after Kohga attempts to steal it, and at the end of their time together Urbosa tells Riju she’s certain she’ll lead the Gerudo well. Riju treasured her time being mentored by Urbosa so much that she considers what Urbosa would do during the Upheaval in her diary in TotK.

I think the entire reason Tulin was added to the DLC was because the TotK team had already decided that Tulin was going to be the Sage of Wind, and that since the other sages were going to meet their Champions Tulin had to as well.

At some point in the years between Botw and TotK Teba, Tulin, Sidon, Yunobo, Riju and Patricia were summoned back in time by Terrako to aid the Champions during the Calamity, and even though those events took place in a parallel timeline and had no bearing on the world they returned to, the Sages’ personalities at the beginning of TotK are because of their experiences during the Calamity and the bonds they made with the Champions.

He slowly pries a crack open in his grasp to get a look... and huh. This... isn't like any fairy he's ever caught before. Uh oh...

Blinking softly and trailed by subtle wisps of light, a faint chiming sound—no doubt the sight of it was a welcoming thing, but Honey also found she attracted less attention from more... unsavory passers-by in the wilderness when flitting by in this more diminutive shape, aside from the occasional curious bokoblin lazily watching her float by, or the occasional mountain crow hopping from branch to branch with interest.

Simply put, it was the safest form to travel long distances in...

Or, at least, it had been, 'til now.

It happens so quickly she wouldn't have had time to shriek, even if she'd had the lungs and vocal chords to do so. Instead, she merely blinks brighter as everything goes dark, a sturdy set of well-worked hands clasped around the little light with surprising speed. ( one might think it wasn't his first time, the psychopath ).

He sure gets an eyefull when he does take his peek; and an earful to match. Voice be damned, this thing can still make a racket; and he could no doubt pick up on the fear, anger, and irritation in the bell-like clamor the flickering fae emits. Only after a moment does she muster the energy to make it something he can understand, chiming joined by a voice spoken directly into his thoughts:

And if she's going to tell it now, instead of getting her well deserved rest, she's going to make herself a nuisance to the other: hence, Zelda finds her faeling cousin draping her arms over Zel's shoulders and slouching with minimal grace; sighing dramatically as she hung like a sloth.

"to make a long story short, I was struck by divine inspiration in the moments just before I'd planned on going to bed," roughly one, perhaps two in the morning, "and in the wee-small-hours, I made the most heavenly cannelés this land has ever known. several batches. beautiful work. very time-consuming— you remember, don't you? There was something almost comforting about the thought that outcasts would always be drawn to other outcasts. They ones who were the most alone, they were the ones with no family and no home, but there was still always hope as long as they stumbled onto one another.

Unfortunately, this was perhaps the last person that this particular outcast would have ever wanted to run across.

Shi recognized Ganondorf. He could have lived ten thousand more years and would have still been able to recognize him, even if the man had become twisted and mutated and a husk of who he had once been. No disguise or wardrobe change would hide him from crimson eyes that had been waiting far too long for a moment like this. It felt almost like an endless well of pure hatred twisted in his stomach at the sight of him, and he found one hand moving to a dagger on his belt beneath his cloak almost without thought.

He had done so much to hurt everyone. He didn't deserve to live.

What stayed his hand was the fact that this man was not just the monster who had tormented Hyrule, and he wasn't just another reincarnation of the man who had tormented him.

It was raining, and most people around the stable had taken shelter inside. All, except for Shi and that man. If he didn't know any better, Shi would have almost described the way he was acting as... tense. Maybe even fearful.

"Most people come inside to stay out of the rain." His voice was surprisingly even despite the whirlwind of emotions inside. Shi released the hilt of the dagger, choosing instead to take a few steps closer as he smiled. "There's plenty of room in the stable. They never mind people waiting there during bad weather."
