For some paleo related fun, here's a huge Eurasian Pleistocene Big Cat sketchdump from 2023 when I was brainstorming for White Cat, Gold Plains

I still like a lot of these, though I was obviously trying to lean more into realism than I do in Kindred Also they're not Fleet Fangs, they're a different species within the same genera, Homotherium latidens and Panthera (leo) spelaea

Past me was some kind of madlad trying to put spots on things, no wonder the comic died after 10 pages c':

#H. latidens use the common name 'machire' to refer to themselves btw #the lions are just called lions because that's easier #i couldn't do that in Kindred because there's several species with no easy common name and i like the conventions to match #so i don't want lion jaguar cheetah and then Fleet Fang (or worse- have them call themselves Homotherium)#once again a silly personal peeve of mine is animals using binomial names they have 0 reason to know #particularly in dinosaurs where they usually have an easy translation (Deltadromeus= River Runner etc)#... u see this is what i mean about my rambling #white cat gold plains #i am still very fond of the setting tbh #i'd like to come back to it but also idk i've already done that several times and it hasn't worked yet c':#i also like how Ama's darker brown design has been confirmed by science now- good for her #clangen #homotherium #mammothask #anon #sabertooth #sabercat #ooc chatter #paleo stuff

If you are referring to LWJ's Bunny hairpiece, that's just the whimsy of PD-MDZS.

They exist in the same world as MDZS but...small.#They are like little fairies (to me).#Yes this means actual sized wwx and lwj could pick up their counterparts and hold them both in one hand with room to spare.#The bunny guan has taken a few forms over time but it's one of my favourite running gags of this comic.#I feel so hollow when we are in the flashbacks. Scorpions from the past

#the Scorpions are a reference to his comics and past trauma #i definitely think that ghost would have triggers or moments where he beeaks down and some of them are during really bad moments #also i post more soapghost on twitter #It's 7am and I have yet to sleep but my mind is only thinking about the next part of the comic #simon would most likely disassociate and ghost would take over #soap would blame himself because he couldn't calm him down in time to not let ghost come out #If he hadn't pressed his mouth closed so hard or bs able to properly calm down #that he wouldn't have to build this wall up again.#i also think ghost would come out especially when he realizes that Simon's directly putting not only soap but himself in harm's way #But the comfort bits where soap slowly softens ghost back up by just spending time near him #telling jokes and getting simon to realise he's safe again so he doesn't need to put up the walls #but soaps inability to help was the final straw that let ghost out so it'll be really rough to loosen his walls again #simon riley #ghostsoap #john mactavish #soapghost #fanart #mw2 fanart

brush test slash rendering practice with ayem

#morrowind #almalexia #the elder scrolls #tes #tes fanart #art #id in alt #ok that's all the tags this needs ANYWAY #i started this 1. for experimenting with coloring from dark to light #2. because i wanted to draw someone kind of back turned to the camera #3. rendering practice for hair particularly #4. to go from sketch to rendering rather than doing lines to see if that doesn't smooth out my workflow a bit #5. because i've never actually used this brush past flat coloring #and out of those 1. i don't think i had enough of an idea of the palette or process to jump into dark to light painting so i did scrap that #and go with my usual “flat color with one of the mid shadow tones add shadows add light”#i do think that painting from shadows out is a thing people do digitally i just think this wasn't the drawing to test it on for me #i think i'd need to look at some other peoples processes and start with a more fleshed out idea of where to go #2 and 3 i think worked out. i'm gradually figuring hair out which i think is sick #4 i also think worked out for me which is also sick because i do get caught on lines a lot. they're fun sometimes but i think some drawings #benefit better from not having them and that it might be a bit faster #and of course everything i do is so that i can draw slightly faster and better for next artfight #as for 5. i have mixed feelings on this brush but that might be because i hate change. and also because i started this drawing on the 15th #of november and finished it yesterday. so im kind of just sick of working on and looking at it #it was a valuable learning experience and i think it came out well! i am also going to drop to my knees and rejoice when i can finally #close this file out and free medibang paint from under it so i can work on Literally Anything Else #thank you almalexia for being my test subject i should've used a reference for your armor when i did the sketch but i didn't #maybe the crown looks weird because of it maybe it doesn't. not my problem anymore i can draw other elves again #my art #iiii think i forgot a my art tag last time

I just physically dont feel like sitting at the computer lol..#ANYWAY.. trying to get back into it. trying to get a business bank account.. make a proper paypal so i can start selling sculptures again.#selling clothes and sculptures.. posting about such things then of course as one must. etc... chanting to hype up and motivate myself lol #But yes. this is my favorite outfit out of the bunch so I am posting it first I guess.. maybe others later..#Also the purple dress says its from shein. which I've heard is bad fast fashion stuff. but maybe okay since its second hand? I havent #been to the bins since like 2020 or late 2019 even. and I think stuff like shein and temu has only become poular in the past few years #but I bet if I went to the bins now I might would find a good handfull of that stuff.
