Knives lore:

my first fictional crush/favorite character was Skeletor from He Man franchise when I was around 5 years old. One day in kindergarten teacher asked us to draw a fictional character we'd like to befriend and guess who I draw. Or tried to. I only managed to outline the skull and add a little blue around it when the allotted time ended. The teacher was concerned but my mom recognized the character and pinned the drawing on the fridge, with all the others. I also drew a lot of colorful ponies, so there was quite a selection.

somehow I always have the best connection/be fast friends with people who live quite far away from me. Which on one hand is amazing, the world seems like a better place when you think it's full of awesome people around the planet. Unfortunately I can't travel far or often, so internet is a blessing.

I don't experience friendship decay. I have been lucky to have people in my life who understand that, but when I was younger that was really troublesome.

sometimes I have very realistic dreams of other places and people or my loved ones and friends living in some beautiful place in happiness, and upon waking up I feel like I lost something important. I guess I'm so very much into escapism that I do it even subconsciously.

inform them that bigender trans women exist. multigender, genderfluid, genderqueer, gnc non binary, intersex, two-spirit and gender variant trans female lesbians exist. transfemme lesbian men exist.

intersex male lesbians exist.

cisgender male lesbians are not a threat to you or me. who cares if a cishet man identifies as a lesbian? they probably have a good reason to. remind them that cishet men who find lesbian erotica attractive generally are pretty vocal about disliking IRL lesbians. most cishet men do not want to be associated with dykes. this isn't an issue of cishet men potentially invading the queer community. if they wanted to identify as lesbians, they would be doing so already. and so what if a cishet man genuinely feels like a lesbian? why's that anybody's place to insert themselves into?

on no planet is this a reasonable hill to die on, is what i would tell a person like that. hope that helps somewhat! i get that as a "zinger" all the time and my answer is always kill the cop in your mind. i'm not here to police anyone. i'm just here to inform. what they do with these labels and identities is not up to me, i can't control them. if someone uses labels in a way i don't like, i simply care about something else.

To answer your questions as best as I can

Gwen could have gotten the clothes from the universe she's staying in the watch does allow her to open portals so she could have just opened a portal to her room and gotten clothes from there.

Or she just bought them. If so I'd like to believe there was a very cozy shopping montage that happened behind the scenes.

Secondly, yes people can see Hobie changing colors definitely.

The reason why Miles doesn't ask or make a remark is because there's millions of questions running through his mind on the second so he's trying to focus on a lot of things simultaneously but what's at the top of his priority list is Gwen, Impressing Miguel, Getting Into The Spider Society (atleast at that time).

Thirdly, though not stated. I do believe that Gwen can see the colors but it just comes naturally to her it's almost second to breathing as she's spent her whole life with her environment's colors changing to the mood. Which is why she's not distracted.

So yes Miles and the others would definitely see this.

Yes Miles would be asking these questions but again there was a lot going on and not enough time to question anything.

Fourthly, Hobie doesn't conform to anything hence why he's not affected by the art style shifts. He's just that stubborn.

Gwen and Miles and the others change to the other's artstyles because there anatomy is conforming to the new rules of the universe and is why they're always so unstable after staying long in someone else's universe.

And lastly, Gwen's dad didn't put the gun down because as he sees it he's looking at the murderer of his surrogate son (Peter Parker) Spider-Woman: the criminal. Not his daughter Gwen.

Where did Gwen get this outfit from? She had nothing but the cardigan with her when arriving in Miles’ room, so where did she get these clothes from? Did she buy them? Did she steal them? They aren’t Rio’s, otherwise she would’ve pointed that out. When did she change into them? She’s not wearing her suit underneath them so did she speed-change out of them as soon as she said bye to Miles? Where did she keep her suit then?? Are there random piles of clothes strewn across spider-people’s universes that they just change in and out of??? Have they all mastered the art of speed-changing????

Can the other characters see Hobie changing colour palette and art style? Or is it one of those things where it’s just the audience that sees it? I understand the others not reacting to it since they’re used to Hobie, but if I were in Miles’ shoes and I just met a guy who changed colour before my eyes I would be way more vocal about it! “BuT SilEnt, MileS is DesEnsitisED to tHis sTuff” Yeah but he still REACTS to the weird shit that goes on around him! I feel like he’d at least make a passing comment if he could see it. Does Hobie think everyone around him is changing colour too?

Same question for Gwen and her universe. Like… can she see all this?? I would be super distracted if I was having an emotional moment with my dad and my surroundings started flash-banging me with random colours and shapes. (I know they’re meant to reflect her emotions but you know what I mean). If Miles came to her universe would he see all this? Or would it just look the same as 1610 to him?

Also why is Gwen the only character who doesn’t stay in her universe’s art style when she visits other universes?? The animators payed way too much attention to detail in this movie for that to be an accident right?!

And last but not least- WHY DID’NT HE PUT THE GUN DOWN?!?!

This person is clearly referring to Mullet Stan and like, I don't even know what to say.

Mullet Stan didn't "showed little interest in changing his life even as he got older" because he was selfish, it was because he was a homeless person without a high school diploma and, thanks to that, would be extremely difficult to him find someone to give him a job.

God. This fandom is a MESS.

There are socioeconomic reasons as to why people commit crimes. Stan was a homeless person without a high school diploma and had to turn to crime as a means of survival. This isn't that hard to understand.

I do draw WLB full time!

i quit my warehouse job in 2019 to focus on consistent uploads for wlb. I kind of jumped the gun a bit since wlb was only just launching, but it ended up working out.

I can never thank patreon/kofi supporters enough, i cannot stress how miserable i was in my warehouse job near the end. I am very fortunate to be able to draw comics and make enough for my bills.

nope! there's no reason why it would be. intersex people fall outside of the sex binary. non binary people fall outside of the gender binary. no conflicting concepts here, these are two unique experiences that can and do have overlap, but don't have to. identifying outside of the gender binary does not insult people who were born with characteristics that fall outside of the sex binary. they're two different experiences that don't take anything from the other.

if anything, non binary people can be powerful intersex allies, and vice versa. we have a lot of common experiences and share a lot of similar paths in life.

1. ...the moment in the story that I started shipping my OTP from this world.

That whole scene where Rio blows in the door at just the most dramatic moment and the following throwdown fight made me pay attention. But this sentence? This sentence was a direct hit to alllllll my weaknesses.

It immediately gave me so much delicious information. Like, despite all that 'I want to see you burn... or hang... or drown' aggression? that this woman clearly was utterly gone for Agatha.

17. ...the world-building aspect of the story I have the greatest admiration for.

That SONG. I adore the way they used The Ballad of the Witches' Road in this show in so many ways. The way we kept getting different versions and the way they were so slightly and significantly different based on the purpose behind that particular version.

Like how the Sacred Chant version was all about the community of witches (and the way that hid the trap Agatha had used for centuries).

The way Lorna's version was full of a mother's unconditional love for her daughter and the lengths she'd go to for that love.

The way Nicky and Agatha's version was about their coven of two (and how even while Nicky was alive, the way Agatha had already kinda corrupted it even as her love for her son remained the one true thing about her).

Just. The way the song informed every aspect of the story... it's frankly incredibly impressive.

7. ...the scene that I like to point to as proof that they're perfect for each other.

I could probably choose literally ANY of their scenes to make that particular point but I really like this one.

Like. Agatha has been angry and avoiding Rio for centuries. Rio has recently made it clear she wants Agatha dead (though admittedly knowing her nature this is basically at least 70% her wanting Agatha back).

But despite that, as soon as they know they have to do this particular ritual both of them know THEY are going to be the ones exchanging the brooms. They don't need to talk about it, or discuss it, or consider it, it's just... instinctual.

They are just always on the same wavelengths and it's both beautiful and really tragic.

10. ...rate the level of stupid they reach in their pining.

I mean... *murder threats* followed by...

*Agatha trying to claw Rio's face off* followed by...

*Rio painfully reminded Agatha she's never going to get her son back, a day ago* followed by...

*Rio saying she HATES ghosts* followed by...

(obviously not... no, she took a calculated risk on being able to continue irritating Rio for the next eternity).

Also just... we have one case of a dum-dum who fell in love with the literal embodiment of death. And another case of a literal embodiment of death who turned full dum-dum because she met a very pretty witch.

They're SUCH dumb. I love these pining idiots SO MUCH.

This scene just... shows that Billy doesn't just remind Agatha of her son... he reminds her of herself.

At the end of the day Agatha is a survivor, and so is Billy. And that both connects and differentiate them. And I just find that very interesting.

Rio absolutely lied about being pulled onto the Road by their summoning spell. She's Death, she could have shaken that thing off with the flick of a pinky but was she really going to waste an opportunity that good?
