So, at first Nico just sat there and smiled while his wife was talking about her book, then they talked for a bit about how they both used to be so shy as children and how the sport helped Nico to overcome that, and how Vivian once decided to just smile more and be more outgoing, even though she was anxious, and how it has improved her life. They also talked about Nico being scared while driving (scared of crashing and scared of losing) and about how Vivian was scared of him crashing too ("because that's the person you love, of course").

The most important part to me came at the end, and idk if we already knew that, but apparently their daughters are Lewis Hamilton fans (I mean who's shocked, like father, like daughter)??? Of course they were both quick to say that this is only because Lewis still gives them Christmas gifts (so here's our confirmation this is STILL happening).

Nico of course had to emphasise how Lewis and him used to be rivals (enemies, even) and how nice it is that he now gives his kids presents, didn't even mention their friendship (I know that hurts him, we know he loves to say that every 5 minutes), but then they started joking about how Lewis is not allowed in for christmas, how he's just allowed to drop off the presents and like... babes, we all know you WISH he'd like to come in!

art donaldson is the type of guy who'd definitely be like tom. even though you explicitly said that you aren't looking for a relationship, he can't help but fall for you. he notices these little things about you that makes him just fall so far for you that he's convinced he's in love. one night he confesses to you and you are mortified. from the start and every since then, you'd reminded him that all you guys did was fuck and nothing more. you remind him that you aren't looking for a relationship but he refuses to hear you out. he just keeps going on and on about how much he loves you and wants to be with you. you quickly leave his dorm and block him on every platform that you can. you make sure to avoid him as much as possible and art is utterly heartbroken. he mopes in his dorm and calls patrick to complain about how much he cares for you.

months pass and eventually he gets over you but deep down he still cares for you. when he bumps into you at a party, almost a year later it's like he's thrown right back to the past. all the sudden all that heartbreak is back and he feels like he can't breath. you give him a polite smile and make some small talk before leaving and walking back to your boyfriend. art feels as if he's going to pass out, throw up, or both at the same time. he wonders to himself that maybe if he had kept his casual relationship with you that you'd eventually come around to dating him.

i admire the way rick writes percy. from the moment poseidon claims percy, we see that he is destined to be incredibly powerful. and this is further proven as we see percy use his powers to fight and strategize his way out of every battle he's in. yet, it isn't his external struggles that reel us in, but his internal ones. it's his hatred for luke conflicting with his love for annabeth. it's his guilt for killing with ease conflicting with his hunger for more power. it's his drive for keeping everyone he loves alive conflicting with his desire to k*ll himself. percy is so beautifully written that i could cry.
