Abbey Bominable redesign-thingy...

My first monster high art in quite a while and my first in colour, anyways about Abbey:

My design of Abbey is sort of a mix between what I liked from g1 and g3 as well as a smattering of personal ilks which bleed into her personality. For example Abbey being a Nepali Sherpa who is from a reasonably remote lil town in the himalayas, and is unused to the hustle and bustle of urban America, couple that with the self awareness and awkwardness typical of teens and an inexperience with spoken english and you have someone who initially feels she can't fit in amongst her peers regardless of being an 8 feet tall, ice magic-capable Yeti,typecast as a stonefaced monolith of a girl. However upon a few classmates getting to know the actual Abbey, Abbey in turn learns and is reassured by the fact that she's not the only one who feels this way at times, with her classmates and eventual boyfriend Heath Burns (himself feeling the burn of being typecast) learning in turn under the ice lies a sweet and caring girl.

My idea with this piece is that Abbey,being from a mountain town in the middle of the cold himalayas has never quite had the opportunity to wear summer clothes that don't have more than a few layers, but unfortunately a lot of the stuff found in the US where she's studying doesn't quite fit her 8 and a half foot frame very well, so she and a few of her friends have taken to modifying some of her existing stuff for the hot weather instead, like this Chupa (the Himalayan dress shes wearing) altered into a two piece top and skirt here.

(For the record here are some examples of Chupa both simple and elaborate I used as reference for this piece:)

I've also done some designs for heath and clawdeen too, I'm not used to drawing curly hair but Im very proud with how clawdeens 'do turned out.

Also since its already halfway through it all, Happy pride month, I've been wanting to do a pride piece but I'm not quite sure what exactly I should do exactly and what thing I should do it for, although since I'm on a monster high roll recently maybe I should do one for some of my admittedly very queer versions of the characters seen here... 🌈

Another year is over so it's time for a look back at what was happening on this blog! I haven't really been around, it was just my queue, and maybe that's one reason why I looked at my archive and went "huh" at everything. I don't remember much. The other reason why this year probably went poof in my head is because I was dealing with some mental health stuff lol. I say lol but it wasn't actually very lol but I'm doing better now and 2024...is looking promising for now.

January

We're in Bridgeport and Sawyer is living his best life. You know, girlfriends, boyfriends, being turned into a vampire, giving birth to three little vampires, threatening to sell his enemies' organs on the black market...best life indeed.

February

Okay I am now seeing that "talking more" about every month will be impossible since I actually don't have much recollection of 2023 lmao

March

Sawyer and Erin are at the best point of their relationship, but we left them alone for a bit and went back to NSB. Pastel just moved to Strangerville and got a...rather strange roommate.

April

The rather strange roommate becomes Pastel's rather strange wife. I love these two so much. We also say hello to Moss -- and also to Ross, who returns from...god knows where. I mean yeah, there was the ts3 Ross, but technically they're two different people. Parallel universes and stuff.

May

Thea is born and strange wife Jesse gets even stranger. That whole "merging with the mother plant" thing was kinda weird but I really enjoyed it. Idk what I was on but it was fun. And then, before returning to the lepacy, I posted my Cottage Living screenshots! ...which were really just me going "uwu what does this do" on every possible Wicked Whims option.

June

...and I went from posting weird WW Ross stuff to posting wholesome Growing Together Ross stuff. If that gave you a whiplash, I am sorry, but imagine what it must be like for me. I'm locked with this guy in my head 24/7. He's the whiplash king. A blorbo to you, a curse to me. A beloved curse tho. Ok I'm getting weird. Back to the lepacy.

Lepacy time! Loved the soap opera Generations gen. Kinda wish I had sticked to some of the storylines instead of going "eh nvm I just wanna play". I'm not saying I regret not actually letting Saywer go on a killing spree but also...imagine if he went on a killing spree. You don't see that in lepacies often do ya

August was...welp 💀 I was at the grippy socks hospital for most of that month, 10/10 would recommend, but my queue ran out while I was there so I just reblogged some old stuff for a few weeks.

September

September is just lepacy month. Cornelia and Archer are happy, they get married, they get more children...yeah. Good wholesome Generations times all around. It's not like they're gonna get divorced later or anything.

October

The twins are kind of chaotic, one of them turns into a ghost, both then bring their cursed imaginary friends to life...and the final child of Archer and Cornelia is born.

November

I loved running into Sawyer at the grocery store all the time. Weird vampire alleged killer grandpa behavior suits him. Dorothea goes away to a boarding school, hates it there and instantly comes back. Relatable. Oh and midlife crisis hits Archer hard.

December

And we're in December! Dorothea enters her horsegirl era and finds herself a girlfriend...and we'll continue that in 2024!

What's in store for the new year besides the lepacy? Well, Not So Berry will be making a return (and HOPEFULLY we'll finally get to the end. we need to). There's a story I want to do in the NSB universe, if you know you know. Before we dive into the next lepacy generation, I'm thinking of another BC with the gen 7 heir...oh and Marika's Black Widow. Shoot and I'm starting an irl job in January. Yeah no we're not doing all this in 2024, don't count on it 💀 But I'll try.

Yeah me too." and the three just kind of take weeks to contemplate on what to do next cuz they've technically been getting to know clove a lot already, even learning the basics of DnD and TTRPG just so they have something that leans more to clove's interests/hobbies (AND THE THREE LOVE IT ACTUALLY)

for bojans sister and than conversation; the conversation was just general small talk, just catching up on work stories at bojans job, how his studies are going, gossip about what her coworkers said yesterday, just stuff like that. bojan definitely talks to his sister about kris, often, but he doesnt specify anything about the nature of their relationship. she definitely has her guesses and when she sees kris on the couch in a shirt shes definitely seen bojan wear on multiple occasions, she feels confirmed in her theory that kris is bojans boyfriend. (ofc she doesnt know that that isnt the case when she was over.)

basically in general the backstory with bojan and his sister is like. i think he definitely came out to her first, then to his parents, like he probably told her at least half a year earlier and shes been pretty supportive from the start. when he comes out to his parents on christmas this isnt news to her.

bojan and his sister keep in regular contact, and since january, bojan has started to talk about kris more and more. he doesnt say anything about their f+ thing, but he does casually mentioning being at kris' place on the phone, and stuff like that, little hints here and there and she just draws her own conclusions from that. she assumes that since being out is still a new thing for bojan, and even though she definitely is supportive, he might still be a little hesitant to introduce an actual boyfriend. which she doesnt mind. shes just happy bojan seems happy and shes patient and just waits for him to tell her so she can act all surprised

when she sees kris at bojan's, she smiles at him both bc she thinks that hey, bojan might not be ready to really tell her about it yet, but hes also not taking active steps to hide it from her and that makes her happy - and to convey the message of "i see you, thanks for making him happy, i 100% support you guys btw, im on your side" hashtag ally 🌈

Loominbert originally got into journalism straight out of college because they thought it'll be a good n easy job to take (cause they loved the news, interviews, and learning about what's going on). After years and years of working at GNN, they realized how draining their job has been and one day they were just like "Okay I need to find a way to prove that cryptids exist so I can quit this fuckin job and spend my time chasing after weird creatures." And like… I guess that wish came true if bugsnax could be considered cryptids??? Maybe?? Some doodles of a slightly younger Loominbert, they used to know how to smile and didn't constantly look bored out of their mind lol.

As a kid Floofty did Not want to have a sibling. They didn't get along with other kids their age (like 5-6) so when their parents were like "Hey look you have a brother now," with Snorpy they were sooo fuckin mad. Obviously as they got older they learned to be more chill around Snorpy; even if they were still slightly annoyed about having to be an older sibling. Snorpy however always seemed to like Floofty. He would copy everything they did and thought that they were the smartest grump in the world. Like Floofty would start talking like a thesaurus and kid Snorpy would be all like "Wowwww my sibling is so smart and cool :0!!! I need to talk like that now wowww!!!" They only actually drifted apart after the whole deal with the government n stuff, and didn't talk to one another until Snaktooth (I like to think that in game Snorpy's 28 while Floofty's 33, so they hadn't talked to one another in about 5-6 years? Probably?).

Cause it feel appropriate to mention Chandlo here, Floofty and their parents felt completely neutral about Chandlo. He was the only non-familial grump who frequently visited their home, cause the Fizzlebean parents never really invited people like coworkers or friends over to their house, and Floofty Did Not get along with any of their peers. While they did sometimes think Chandlo acted to rowdy sometimes and was very impulsive, they were glad that Snorpy had someone he truly got along with. Floofty was the only one aware of Snorpy's obvious crush on Chandlo, their parents never caught on until way after Snaktooth when Snorpy reintroduced Chandlo as his boyfriend n they were like "??? This guy??? Really??? Ok???" lol
