The first eight years of Malia's life were extremely happy and could almost be described as "normal." She didn't know that she was adopted, because her parent's, Henry and Mary, always treated her as if she was their own, thinking they could not conceive. But when Malia was three, her little sister, Kylie, was born.

Everything changed after Malia turned eight; she dealt with the first full moon that triggered her transformation. The emergence of her coyote powers ended in tragedy, as she accidentally killed her mother and sister.

The tragedy of believing she was the cause for the accident was too much for Malia and she spent the next eight years living as a coyote, until Scott and his pack brought her back. Malia would later learn that the real cause for the accident was her birth mother, The Desert Wolf.

Facts

• Malia still has trouble controlling her powers when she has a strong emotion, whether good or bad. • Malia has summer school in order to graduate from high school on time. • Spending half of her life as a coyote, Malia doesn't understand human social constructs like gender. She will answer to pretty much any pronouns. • Most social niceties elude her. If she likes someone, there will be no nervous lead up. She will ask them out and kiss them on the spot, if they say yes. Please tell her whenever this makes a muse uncomfortable, otherwise she will continue.
