Solace is the skill you tucked away long ago, at the bottom of Pandora's box. The little one that tells you: despite it all, there is still hope. It needs a lot of nurturing -- and it's far from being the most helpful for police work -- but taking care of it is basically self-care. It enables you to find the glow in yourself that you often ascribe to gold lungs or brilliant halos in others. It encourages you to wake up and watch the sunrise, to play board games with someone you love, to forgive yourself and let yourself be a gentler kind of animal. Constantly looking forward to a brighter future, it also helps shield your morale from damage.
At high levels, Solace gives you a heightened sense of childlike optimism - which isn't always the sense to lead with in this precariously harsh world. AWH... I'm skipping through Roier's QSMP Day 1 VOD because I'm looking for a specific thing, and I just noticed that when Jaiden stands in front of the group to do her introduction and her mic isn't working, Mariana laughs (not in a mean way, I laughed too) and Roier immediately smacks him and tells him off for laughing.

ever think about how probably the hex get to chill with the drifter also because the drifter does make their job simpler.
Both the techrot and the troops need time to readjust from waves of culling, hence the hex are genuinely thrown in moments where they have time to properly think: whether that brings peace or lets buried grievances resurface is another thing though :)

im so jealous of people who can make an oc and just know what their personality is like immediately cuz it literally takes me at least 2 years before i settle on a defined personality for any character of mine ever
#its like my ocs have drafts that have to be rewritten before theyre finalized#breanna's personality is so different to how she was written when i first created her. even her style changed so much!!#i used to dress her so girly and now she dresses a lot more comfortable and casual#and vaughn! he went through a lot of changes. although i will say his personality has stayed somewhat consistent#he just has aspects of his personality that are a lot more exaggerated now. and his backstory is more defined#HOLDEN was the worst. hes been my oc since i was 12 and hes had SOOO MANY personalities#and its worse for holden because out of all the personalities hes had i settled for the worst one for him lmao#now hes a self absorbed misogynist <3#his first draft was so sweet and shy and nervous. what happened to him!! hes so obnoxious now. he has fratboy energy;(#i love holden thats why i have to make him an awful person<3
