and omg i think aaron would definitely be stressed but it's a more tame stress 😭 especially since going through the whole process with jack - he has an idea of what to expect!!

aaron would take ellie to a parking lot and have her drive around it a few times before taking her on side streets, and then a main road, and eventually the highway - gradually building it up and getting used to dc traffic. it help ellie's confidence on the road too!! she feels well practiced and it's not overwhelming in the slightest.

also, he talks/instructs her with such a slow, gentle voice. as excited as she is to drive, ellie is kindaaaa terrified (i also wanna say she's closer to 17/18 when she learns how to drive - she's incredibly anxious and kinda pushes the whole driving thing off for a bit) and she'll feed off his energy. so if he's calm, she's more calm. as a result he has to subtly hide his overprotectiveness 😭 like if he grabs onto that handlebar, she starts to panic - that she's doing something wrong or something bad is about to happen 🥺 the first time someone honks at her - she's 100% in tears 😭 if aaron ever so softly raises his voice - he did once, but it had nothing to do with her driving, it was some other idiot on the road - ellie insists on you taking her rather than him 😭 just a few times.

as ellie's learning too - she's asking him sooo many clarifying questions, reads the driver's handbook cover to cover at least twice, and doesn't play music at all at first - she wants no distractions whatsoever. her hotchner side is totally showing throughout all this LOL

but then again, it helps aaron's overall worries because if ellie is stressed - that means she'll be paying thorough attention to the road, she won't be making risky moves, she'll be nothing but safe, you know? but at the same time, poor ellie 😭 again, aaron always makes sure to offer his reassurances and compliments, corrects her gently if there's something she can do better - building her up. like ellie is a good driver right off the bat, she just needs to trust herself 🫶🏻

HIHI !!! i hope you're doing well, i get that for sure and im glad you're feeling so much better :] and im doing good!!! i was having a really terrible time while i was off my meds bbut in my defense it wasnt my fault !! /silly

my psychiatrist didnt refill my mirtazapine before i ran out, the pharmacy needed her to approve more refills, and she didnt until after the weekend since she was off, so i ended up off of them for like. almost a full week </3 i had to take time off work and everything, i was having terrible physical withdrawals and mentally i was so paranoid i knew i wouldnt be able to hold myself together for a full 7 hour shift LOLOL

and honestly theyre not too bad! you get used to them surprisingly quickly, and ive been up at the front counter recently which is much chiller than the drivethru LMAO i get an order coming through maybe once every 10-15 minutes .. most of the downtime is spent either staring into space, sweeping the lobby, or wiping down tables, all of which r tasks im very confident in my ability to do without fucking up /silly

plus im much more willing to work 7-8 hour shifts when they give me free food on my breaks and pay me 16 dollars an hour (which is minimum wage here but still. so much fuckinm money (im jealous of california tho because their minimum wage for fast food workers is 20 whole dollars. wild!))

generally (excluding the time off my meds) ive been doing really surprisingly well! most of my free time has been spent doing schoolwork (i got rotary student of the month even!) or doing convention prep for kumoricon, though ive had some time for stardew valley and regretevator in there somewhere LOLOL its been good!!

hii, i just realized i didn't say anything about eris hair *gasp* it's hard to explain but i don't see him with really long hair but i wouldn't say it's as short as like rhys'

so like if there was a scale it'd be lucien with hair down to his ass basically and rhys who has pretty short hair at the ends, cassian is kind of like the middle because it's what? shoulder length? around that. so i think eris' is definitely longer than rhys but not as long as cassian's and azriel is between eris and cass but his hair is a little curlier and it falls more in his eyes. eris's hair is always perfect. (idk if im going off the books or simply vibes but that's what i always imagined) - 🧶

I agree, Lucien’s hair is definitely the longest, then Cass has shoulder-length hair, Rhys probably has the shortest and Az’s is a tiny bit messier? Not messier, but looser? Longer? I haven’t really thought particularly about texture? I’ve seen fanart with both straight and slightly curlier and he looks absolutely lovely in either, and it’s the same with Cass 🫠

Anyway, I think shoulder length suits Eris because it’s long enough to do things with while also able to be tied up and out of the way if he needs to :)

Side note: how long do people picture Tamlin’s hair? I’m pretty sure we’re actually told it’s shoulder length but i’ve seen some fanart with it being closer to the top of his back, which again was very pretty 😶‍🌫️

SORRY FORGOT TO RESPOND TO THIS ONE BUT YEAG. ITS BRUTAL. since im only working 7 hour days im technically not a full time worker (since thats 8 hour days) but hooo boy does it feel like full time work LOLOL.... rn im still in scheduling hell and waiting for the general manager to get on shift to tell me wtf is going on but. at least this week will be relatively short and same with next week since i'll be going to a convention from the 8th to the 10th :3

I took ballet as a child because I was super clumsy and not very graceful. Don't give me a drink in a glass, because I'm going to knock it over. Or walking into things was the norm. Always had bruises. My legs always looked like someone hit me with a stick. Turns out because I've always had poor eyesight, that my depth perception was the issue. But you know, you don't figure these things out until you're an adult.

This a 2 for 1. lol I can't stand swimming but I was made to learn to swim at the YMCA when I was 9. I'm also terrified of heights. So diving off the small dive board in the deep end was just nightmare fuel for me. Reason: maybe this is a 3 for 1. Ha! I have sinus issues so being under water always made me feel like I was drowning. Then there's the whole 'I can't see' issue because, can't wear glasses at the pool. Oh and don't get me started on "why don't you wear contacts?". Erm, did I mention I have sinus issues? aka dry eyes. Yeah, it's that bad. Ok moving on...

I'm knitting the Vellichor top by Andrea Mowry at the moment and crocheting the fruit garden blanket by Jane Crowfoot. Just about to finish a granny square sweater by YOKOTA CO,.LTD. (DARUMA). I just need to seam it up and add the bindings. 🧶
