you're right and you should say it!!! irredeemably selfish and stupid and bad characters are fun until they're not but they are <3 SKJDFGHJKSDFJKHGSdf i have a love hate relationship with them LMFAO. i used to spend so much time of my plotting and character development in my personal writing to be like "ok how do i make this a very heated and valid enemies to lovers moment, but not actually make the characters so irredeemable they're literally unlikeable" and honestly that's actually a pretty fun concept to grapple with, bc i find most people who attempt to make such a balance lean way too hard in one direction - either the characters are just fucking annoying and its very forced and for the sake of the enemies to lovers label slapped on that it literally reads so fucking ooc its painful, or its like, they're too nice as people and the enemies part of the enemies to lovers schtick is not selling At All. so ive been having a lot of fun writing characters who are indisputably assholes, but like, likeable ones, yk? i find it real compelling especially for a main character, so, i basically just described my main series LMFAOoo

but ngl it was probably cots that was the turning point for me back then when i was like what if... they were assholes... and Not redeemable 🤔 but still extremely, extremely sexy 🤔🤔🤔just, completely take off safety mode and full send it... and now. well. i take about a year to write anything at all so i havent actually posted anything but. i have a handful of very, very interesting wips that have you to thank... maybe we'll get to see them posted in 2024 <3 SKDFJHJKSHJFKSDJKFHJK

My boyfriend keeps looking at me like 😐... 🥚 when I tell a story that happened pre-transition and it gets funnier every time, so I present to you, in no particular order,

egg shit that SOMEHOW did not tip me off:

Played in numerous d&d campaigns in college; didn't play a lady character even once.

Invented a male persona so I could sub in when my boyfriend's frat was a man short for Beer Olympics.

Maintained that male persona and later pledged the frat.

Was regularly the only girl invited to Boys' Night because "you're a guy like at least 40% of the time anyway".

Planned elaborate costumes every halloween; never once went as a lady or anything lady-adjacent.

Actually won 'Sexiest costume (male)' at a theatre event.

Regularly auditioned for male roles in theatre productions. Landed a small part in an all-female production of As You Like It as Silvius and was never more psyched to be in a play.

Watched Ouran High School Host Club straight through by myself; felt weird and immediately chopped off all my hair about it.

Messed around with my college boyfriend while in boymode, using masc pronouns and an assumed name.

80% of my wardrobe in college was hand-me-downs from that same boyfriend.

Went as a wizard for halloween multiple times as a kid, with the beard and everything; never once considered being a witch.

Invented a male persona in middle/high school just for going to hockey games with my uncle.

Made out with more than one gay dude who said "I don't know what it is about you, I'm usually never attracted to women."

Ended up effectively living in my buddy Jake's dorm room every single year, no matter what my official living arrangements were.

Started wearing Old Spice in high school because a boy I liked wore it and I liked how he smelled. Pulled the same move in college with a particular brand of shampoo.

Wore the men's jeans+high-impact sports bra combo in an astounding number of photos.

And I didn't know! My oblivious ass sat there in my boyfriend's old pants with my titties tied down, calling myself Jack, playing a male illusionist for the 76th time in a d&d game with my frat brothers and making plans to go to Boys' Night afterwards for Streetfighter and beer, and I didn't figure it out.

thoughts on episode 1: LOVED IT SO SO MUCH!!! i love the mc already she’s such a mess and i already love the dynamic between her and the raging vampire lesbian. my favorite from the ones on this list tbh!! need more cancelled youtubers and horny for blood lesbian vampires. also i have a weak spot for anime with adult characters who can drink alcohol and get wasted lol. WILL be watching EAGERLY.

yuri thoughts 🌸: the yuri looks solid!! there was verbal mention of lesbian romantic feelings. and as in most vampire shows, blood drinking is metaphor for sex but it’s made quite explicit in this one which increases the yuri score. the protagonists have already a v interesting dynamic im invested.

(EDIT) POST EP 3 THOUGHTS: i love this one more and more!!! still my fave out of these 5 for some reason? i just like masaki and live’s dynamic a lot, i hope they kiss

He is only 3 frames, and then flipped the other way. The background is 14 frames. I did not put much thought into Bonnie's voice. It was just the first thing that came out of my mouth. Like alright, shrill, pirate, deep, what's missing? Oh yeah. Goof with a slight lisp.

Do yall know what flavor of eye this is? And why am I so drawn to it? (I love how Chica is 3 whole examples)

The only characters outside of fnaf that immediately come to mind with "tiny slanted-egg eyes surrounded by large dark shape" are King Hippo from Punch Out, and Plex from Yogabagaba. But for some reason when you add the "cool toned lids," I feel like it's a trait with a Hannah Barbara character I'm not remembering.

This is an introduction post explaining this project and hopefully garnering some attention!

🥚 What's this about?

This is a fanzine by Shane fans, for Shane fans. It's a fan project to appreciate this character, his story, and his growth, and how much it means to a lot of us who have been through similar things.

🥚 How will this work?

Like most other zines! The project will begin on a certain date, and artists and writers will have several months to complete a piece of their choosing for the fanzine. We will use discord to communicate, schedule, and smooth out any issues.

🥚 When is the projected release?

I think aiming for spring 2024 would be nice! It'd be nice to release the zine around when Shane's birthday would be.

🥚Will this be a paid zine?

This is a charity zine to raise money for the mental health charity Samaritans! Samaritans is a charity that operates free and confidential phone lines for people to reach out and talk to someone whenever they're having a difficult time. They provide a listening service for those who may be suffering from suicidal thoughts or otherwise unpleasant feelings. Donations will be raised via ko-fi during a certain fundraising period and after that's over, the zine will go free to download.

🥚What format is this zine in?

The zine will be formatted to A4 paper size, HOWEVER this zine will only run digitally and will not have a print release as things stand. (Mod honestly can't afford a print release as cool as that would be...)

🥚Who can join?

Almost anyone can join! There is no requirement on skill, online following, previous zine experience etc. If this is your first zine, that's awesome! We welcome you with open arms. This is a zine for anyone who has ever struggled with their mental health, and has felt comforted by a certain stardew valley character. I do require that contributors be at least 13+. Not only would it be against discord terms of service to have under 13s on the platform, but mod here, as a fully grown adult, would also be uncomfortable with it - sorry!

🥚Are there any other rules right now?

There are a few! Let's list them, and please read carefully.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, fatphobia, and anything else that falls into similar categories. ZERO. This is non-negotiable. This is a safe space and anyone displaying any of the above will be kicked off the project.

That said, proship, comship, darkship etc are not welcome on this zine. This is a safe space for everyone, including minors, survivors, and everyone else.

This is a SFW zine. There will be no NSFW art or writing included.

Every artist and writer is free to depict Shane as they like. If they choose to depict him as trans, POC, mlm, or anything else for the sake of representation, that is their choice and you must respect it. See the first bullet point about zero tolerance.

Ableism also extends to bigotry toward those suffering with mental illness, and addicts. We are trying to promote empathy and acceptance. Ableist comments will be warned (e.g. complaining about Shane's room being messy).

Your piece must include Shane as the focal point! That should be clear already, but just in case! So long as he's the focal point, you can draw or write anything! Ships are allowed.

HELLO TRANSGENDERS OF TUMBLR... WELCOME TO EGG POLL 2K23

very simply egg poll is just a tumblr-style tournament of characters that YOU think could be transgender, but also think that they haven't realized this themselves yet. the idea of this came to me in a dream and ive been mulling it over for like a week but i decided to go for it.

to get a decent bracket of egg characters to go through though we are going to need submissions. SUBMIT CHARACTERS YOU THINK ARE EGGS below just be sure to follow these few rules:

fictional characters only. referring to a real person as an egg is generally pretty weird and especially in the case of celebrities/strangers online, is not really something that should be done on or off this blog. but for fictional characters its awesome and encouraged!

no canonically trans characters. this blog is meant to highlight trans headcanons, specifically a type of headcanon that often goes overlooked in favor of the "this character has fully transitioned off screen" type.

the exception to the above though is that characters that have been confirmed trans (or had trans hcs receive a general thumbs up) by creators outside of the media itself are allowed, again as long as they are the type of "this person has not realized/come out yet."

please avoid submissions based on transphobic/especially transmisogynistic stereotypes/jokes (ie a male character that wears dresses repeatedly and its treated as embarrassing/a joke every time). this is a fine line obviously and many trans people may want to reclaim these types of characters, but for the most part this is meant to be a positive and fun tournament avoiding that type of content.

overall, if youre unsure, go ahead and submit it anyway, whether or not characters fit these requirements will be done at my discretion. also you dont have to be trans to participate in this, but trans people are the target audience.

Both Chayanne and Lullah have brought this server so much light and joy for me, as well as so many other crows, and I can seldom imagine what things would be like had the two of you never been around to begin with. You, as well as all the other admins are, to me, what makes this server what it is. Even beyond its base concept and its accomplishments, it would never be the same were it not for YOUR contributions. "Happy pride Month!"

It's that time of the year where we all finally get to celebrate what makes us in the LGBTQA+ community so unique! We have been here all throughout history and what's not more perfect then the proof we have through our mythological gods and figures!

Featuring characters: Njord, Skadi, Heimdallr, Loki, Freyr, Gerdr, Sigyn, Hoenir, Natt and Fulla.

Explanations down below ⬇

Reasonings:

Loki is obviously gender fluid to our more modern understanding and I feel like he is bisexual with a preference for women! Biggest egg out there. 🥚🏳️‍⚧️

Heimdall is polyamorus and bisexual because he slept between a wife and husband 3 times to create the 3 classes of humanity.

Freyr was worshipped by gay men, either he is queer or a huge ally!

Gerdr is non binary because their name is a unisex name used for anybody!

I think Njord is transmasc because there is possible evidence of him having been a woman or had a female form at some point before the norse period. That's where we get the name Njorun!

Skadi is transfem even though she is presented as more masculine then the other goddesses and takes on a sons role in her very own myth!

Sigyn is on the asexual spectrum since she's one of very few goddesses who haven't cheated on their lover. Personally I see her as demi!

Hoenir is on the aroace spectrum, he seems to care more about anything but having a romantic relationship.

Natt is polyamorus because she has multiple husbands and divorce was never mentioned. They have multiple kids.

Fulla is lesbian because she and Frigg share their little secrets in her box 😏

‼️ Friendly reminder that for some transgender people, you can still present as the gender you were assigned with at birth. it's just that you feel more comfortable now that you're in the right body ‼️

aw thanks what an honor hehe 💜 well I guess it could serve as a testament to how thirsting for a character doesn't mean you don't or are incapable of studying and understanding them on a deep level. in fact I think you're more likely to because you're so mad about them and focusing so deeply on every asset of them and want to know them inside and out. literally. carnally.

it's possible to lust so hard over them that you can really dive in deep and learn so much about them at the same time and that fuels me even more. him being so sexy and entertaining and appealing to my desires is undeniably definitely one of the big motivators of how I got here to have the ridiculous amount of knowledge I have and all the most based takes XD

With my lasso of truth on hand, I'll make sure to be ready when facing off danger and help everyone in need. I'm not coming alone as I'm with these two female super pets that will helping me in battle. Krypto the Superdog and the rest were to busy facing off the big bad somewhere, but nothing we can handle a problem with my pet friends. Sure hope the Justice League will be proud of us when its over. 😊👍

🇵🇷Me: I know already this cat character's minor villainous role from said film as I'd mentioned. This is my "What If" depiction of her; redeemed form instead of being a bad kitten who worked for an evil guinea pig antagonist. Again, didn't watched this animated film or something. Just the concept that it counts when watching some clips on YouTube. At least I'd tried to work it out when doing this Inktober post share today. Just imagine if Whiskers turned good that I can't help myself think about for a bit. 🤔

🌈 Happy first birthday to a wonderful comic that came out exactly a year ago!! 🥚🧵💖

BKMN has changed my life in the best kind of way, I've read the book on August 15, 2022 (5 days later when I received my copy!!) and I've met incredible friends, been very inspired artistically speaking and so many good other things at once...

A character in particular made this year very special, which is my special corn farmer... Rarold! 🌽💖 But I will talk fully about him on the 15th when it will be an entire year he lives in my head rent free!! ❤️

Thanks to Yugo for creating such an amazing story, all the characters are so good, the art style and colors are so charming and inspiring to me... It's 500 pages of full good content!! I love it so so much!! Again, happy one year anniversary to my favorite comic ever!!
