So I accidentally locked myself out of the house this morning in the backyard 🫣 and then proceeded to break the lock to the side door to get to the lock box outside and get back into the house from the front door. I said fuck this and called out for work because no way in hell would I have the patience to drive to work and also deal with the kids today. So we'll try again tomorrow 😅

I fell even more in love with my body in Puerto Rico. I didn’t get to enjoy last summer as much because I was still healing and was going through so much mentally. I’m so glad to feel at home in this vessel of mine. I still have insecurities, dysphoria, and compare myself to others time to time but I’m learning to accept my body. I love being a curvy Latina woman. It comes with challenges, objectification, dehumanization, superhumanization, etc, but that’s what I cannot control. What I can control is my perspective. And they’re not very expensive, so pretty much as soon as we toss a dead bouquet, I bring home a new one.”

He continued to look at me as though he didn’t know what to say to me so I awkwardly finished scanning my things; feeling like I’m the worst because I’d just insulted his anniversary gesture and called his flowers cheap. And then because I am the most awkward human in existence and I just wanted this man to not think of me as the horribly mean girl he met in Target, as I was leaving my brain decided that blurting, “oh, happy anniversary!” was the perfect finish. 🤦🏽‍♀️

So now I’m just at home, cursing my horrifically approachable nature and face, and cursing the adhd for allowing me to just open my mouth and speak without a thought.

But at least the flowers are pretty. 🤷🏽‍♀️
