Actually, Agatha is not a self-insert. She actually represents who I would like to be, as a person, as a goal, you know? My problem with posting Aggie (ship) has to do with personal insecurity of not being, doing something well enough. It's almost like an addiction of insecurity, always looking for validation, and at the same time, even having that, I still remain anxious and nervous. Because I see other people shipping with Ruggie, and that's fine, but when I'm the one who's going to ship with Agatha, I get a little insecure...
I've had problems with some people cause of this ship that made me feel a bit afraid, this in 2021 and this year too, which has made me wanna change Ruggie several times and I've lost the spontaneity of posting any romantic content cause I end up putting it in my head that only "I" can't do it. I ask several questions to my friends and mutuals, I feel sorry for them, for I am always looking for validation of them too
Until today I'm very cautious, worried about if these two matching, colors, personalities and even strict about the quality of what I post. And I don't just want rendered drawings with lots of details, I wanna make comics, sketches of the two of them too, delve deeper into their friendship and something deeper. And for just saying this, that makes me feel embarrassed and I start to wonder if it's okay for me to do that.
Oh and of course without mentioning again that it's okay for people to take the canon and make him be in love with their OCs, now ME making Ruggie feel this genuinely something for my Agatha, nowadays it's an absurd difficulty, what again does it generate? Insecurity ๐ซฒ๐คกโผ๏ธ
The worst thing is that she could be anything, I don't know, inspired by some Disney character like the canons characters, an animal, a man, self-insert, literally anything, I would continue the same way ๐คก๐คก๐คกโผ๏ธโผ๏ธโผ๏ธ
I don't know how to change this? Just start developing and drawing? It seems easy but sometimes so difficult โ๏ธ๐๐งจ

Wedding Ship Meme

Decided to do both ending 2 (my canon) and ending 3 to show how different yet similar the routes are!
++ some rambles/explanations under the cut:
ASCENDANT ENDING
THE PRENUP
this is sending me bc i have this long ass timeline that leads to them signing a prenup:
- astarion ascends, then breaks up with selene bc she didnโt want to become his spawn
- selene comes with karlach and wyll to avernus, but she doesnโt last long (sheโs a lover not a fighter ๐) karlach convinces her to go back to faerun. she tells her that she has been on autopilot ever since, and she has not had the time to process the breakup. the constant fighting in the hells was not helping
- hesitantly she goes back to waterdeep, where she learns that she is being summoned back to evereska. she journeys there and gets celebrated as the savior of baldurโs gate. she starts creating songs abt her adventures. somehow, she still felt as an outsider in her family despite getting acknowledgment. she goes back to waterdeep where she feels more at home
- she slowly builds her reputation. the reunion party also happens during this time.
- 3 years pass by. she goes back to baldurโs gate ever since the brain. not as a hero, but as a performer this time ๐ฅณ
- they see each other again ever since the party
- zariel arc begins(!) selene recruits astarion (and the gang!) to help defeat zariel. this is where they rebuild their relationship, whatever it was. they make house of hope their homebase
- before the final fight, astarion, desperate and pissed off that selene was not jumping on his advances, propositions (again ๐ฉ) to turn her. they get into this massive fight. selene tells him that the only way that they can make this work is to enter a (magical, hell-powered) contract, where he canโt compel her and in return she canโt leave or betray him. astarion, who was planning all along to turn selene into a vampire bride (where he actually canโt compel her) instead of a spawn, agrees to it since the contract was heavily in his favor. BOOM PRENUP. they both sign it. astarion turns her the very same night ๐ theyโre basically married at this point
- they defeat zariel yay, slowly take over baldurโs gate while also getting a vacation home in waterdeep while also traveling the world yadda yadda. then they have a wedding despite already being married for years bc why not โจ
THE WEDDING
at this point selene is a very famous singer, and astarion close to becoming the shadow ruler of baldurโs gate. their wedding gets called the wedding of the centuryโ think the royal wedding, imagine the masses crowding on the gates trying to see whatโs going on inside ๐ they hold it during the daytime to squash all the rumors of them being vampires. their motif is white and gold, and is heavily influenced by elven culture. seleneโs gownโs train is around 20 ft long. their cake is 3 minscs and 8 boos tall. the festivities lasted for DAYS. lots of hedonistic debauchery occurred ehehe
THE SONGS
so i chose songs that had wedding vibes but also toxic when you listen to the lyrics. chemtrails over the county club is about choosing to live in your own safe and comfortable bubble despite the ongoing horrors outside (cue in my snow globe symbolism for them). thereโs also this line where it says โitโs never too late, baby, so donโt give upโ which makes me feel that thereโs still hope in the relationship becoming healthyโฆ eventually ๐คก (i mean, they actually have forever between them). you belong to me is very fitting bc astarion can let her roam the world freely, but ultimately she canโt leave him. (this also aligns with one of the voicelines a!astarion has if tav leaves with karlach to avernus as a spawnโ he tells them that he allowed them to go with karlach bc heโs not some โcontrolling monsterโ. he could summon tav back beside him if he wanted to.)
SPAWN ENDING
THE WEDDING
as for the spawn ending, at first they want to hold it with just the two of them but then word gets around, and now everyone was excited for the wedding! they didnโt expect so many people would want to congratulate and celebrate with them. imagine 7k+ people wanting to attend ๐๐๐
they hold the wedding reception in the underdark, but made their vows privately under the night sky ๐ฅน๐ญ MOON AND STAR MOTIF LFG ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
THE SONGS
just a quick one: thereโs this line in your universe that says โyou can thank your stars all you want but, iโll always be the lucky oneโ which i think perfectly sums up how he views tav/selene. bc who in their right mind would help a vampireโ a monster, let alone give them their blood? only tav/selene. I hope youโre having a pleasant morningโฆ
So, Itโs been a good three hours since I got back home, ate (as I went to give my exams skipping breakfast, dunno why but I simply cannot eat before exams) and now Iโll pass outโฆ
My exam went great, but I shouldโve really listened to you, I was up til 4:00am, and slept for three hours, and then woke up at 8:00.
My exam starts sharp at 9:00, so I have to be out by 8:00 to reach my uniโฆ๐คก
Got in 15 minutes late, had to write like a madman to catch up to the time I had lostโฆ
Overall it was a harrowing experience๐ญ
Now that I have Eaten my lunch, Iโll nap a little and then study for my tomorrowโs exam. ( Iโve got them lined up back to back all week gahhh)
So that was that.
Any (healthy) study tips you could give me? Because I easily spiral down the unhealthy route. Scarce sleep, Skipping meals and studying for hours on end. Safe to say I become a zombie.
(Itโs a running joke in my family. They donโt interrupt me during exam week, because they know how obsessed I am with getting that top spot lol)
If my message is all over the place, you know itโs because Iโm groggy.
