You know... I realized something about my fan children with Gabriel and Marie.

Myrrh is an Arachne, 100%. They were adopted by May, Marie, and Gabriel. Now, they are a Lycosa Tarantula, a member of the Wolf Spider family.

But Richard is the product of Gabriel and May coupling. So he would be a dhampir, but like a spider Dhampir? Like? His mother is an Arachne, specifically a Yellow Garden Spider, and his father is Dracul, Prince of Darkness.

So would he be venomous, maybe poisonous too depending on if he inherits Gabriel's toxic blood? Would he have extra arms? Legs? Would he have a spider form? Spinnerets? 🤔

So I remade my fankids for my Self-ship with Gabriel and Marie.

This one is Myrrh. (They don't have a spider body option, so this is the best I can do.)

1. Who makes the other blush all the time and who finds it adorable?

Oh, I feel like it could go either way. Gabriel is such a romantic at heart, that he could easily make me blush. However, I could also make him blush as well, just as easily. We both find the other adorable.

3. What would their song to each other be?

Put your head on my shoulder by Paul Anka. Maybe my grandmother would give me her Paul Anka record, and we could slow dance in the living room to the song.

6. What small quirks do they love about each other?

When Gabriel is concentrating or confused about something, he'll tilt his head as he's focusing. It's even cuter, because both Trevor and Myrrh also do it.

Gabriel thinks it's cute that I always carry snacks on me. Living with a diabetic sister and working with hypoglycemic (as well as diabetic) coworkers, I tend to carry snacks in case they need something quick.

9. How did they know they were right for each other?

For Gabriel, it was the time they (Marie, Trevor, and him) invited me to their home for a holiday, and we got a little tipsy and I wound up falling asleep on Gabriel. There were already a number of times before then, but that moment was the 'oh shit, this isn't just a passing fancy anymore.' moment for him.

For me, it was fairly early on. Gabriel has always been respectful and friendly towards me, so I fell for him quickly. But the moment that solidified that this wasn't just a crush, was when Gabriel started to bring me lunches at the bookstore, and stayed after closing to keep me safe.

I have a Halloween party that my boss is hosting and I can't wait, because I'll get to do tarot readings on my coworkers and it'll be the only times I can call them out without them getting mad at me❤️. There's going to be pumpkin carving and food and I can't wait! But it got me thinking.

Gabriel, Marie, Trevor, Laura, Myrrh and I pumpkin carving for the first time. Myrrh would sit in my lap and I would help them carve a small pumpkin, something small enough to fit in their tiny human hands. Laura and Trevor would get semi competitive with it. Marie and I would make a traditional jack-o'-lantern. Gabriel would make something accidentally detailed, because he zoned out with the tools in his hands. Then we would dump the guts on each other playfully, before cleaning them and roasting the seeds to eat. Toymaker and Chupacabra would also join us and it would be a lovely time, us all laughing and being a family together. I would then make some chilli afterwards, and it would be so fun and warm.

🐿: What are some of you and your f/o��s favorite autumn activities? Do you have any special traditions?

So Marie, Gabriel, Myrrh, Laura, Trevor, and I have a tradition of going to Pumpkin patches! The mazes, picking pumpkins and other veggies and fruit, playing games, the food, we love to do all of it 🩷

And this year is going to be Richard's first year for it 🩷

Little thing about Maycella and Myrrh and Richard,

In Maycella's Spider Form, she tends to speak in Morse code by taking either her spider legs and thumping them against things. Usually, they'll hit their legs against walls or desks or floors, or if they have their web made, against their web.

Maycella has been teaching Myrrh Morse Code, since they can't come out of the spider form yet, so they can't verbally speak, and he has been teaching Richard how to understand Morse code, and possibly how to speak in it too, if he has a spider form as well.

This isn't a perfect design (they don't have spider body options outside of the legs) but the coloring and body language is pretty close. Inspired by pretty much mostly Orb Weavers.

4.Which one is more protective? Who needs to be ‘protected’?

Gabriel is the most protective, and he will do anything he can to keep his loved ones safe. No one is safe from the Dragon instincts. Marie and I are usually the ones who he's protecting.

45.Can they fall asleep without the other?

Gabriel absolutely cannot sleep without someone beside him. He doesn't sleep much to begin with, but having someone he can trust helps his sleep. Usually that means that Trevor, Laura, Richard, Myrrh, and/or Marie sleep beside him, so he knows where his family is if he has a nightmare. However, I like to sleep away from people. So if the bed is big enough, I'll sleep there too, but just not where I'm touching anyone.

🥰 - If you adopted them, when did you adopt them? How did you tell them you were adopting them? What was their reaction? How did you decide you wanted to adopt them?

🤬 - Have you ever gotten into any arguments? If so, what was the worst one? How did you guys make up?

So for all of my kids, it was mostly just through time I guess? Like, for Laura and Trevor, it was because of how much time I spent with them and Gabriel, that they just kind of accepted me as another parent. Gabriel just kind of showed up with Myrrh, and they were too young to be on their own, so we adopted them temporarily. We're hopeful that we'll find her actual parents at some point, but she's safe with us till then.

For Timmy and Tommy, they found out I started Tom, and just started calling me Aunt Pearl, sometimes they'll call me Mama Pearl. They were very excited that I spent more time with them.

For the Little Nightmares children, it took them awhile before they started trusting me. Mono and RCG were the first to trust me. RB, Low, and Alone took a little longer. However, Six is the one who still is unsure about me. They all kind of consider me a safe space, but I doubt they consider me a parent, even if I consider them my children.

🎂 - When's their birthday, if they have one? If they don't have a canon one, what do you hc their birthday is?

The only ones with a canon birthday are Timmy and Tommy, who were born June 7th.

I headcanon Laura to have been born April 12th, probably late 900s to early 1000s AD. Trevor was around March 5th, 1046 AD. Myrrh was born on June 28th, 2055 AD.

As for the LN kids, I don't have a set birthday for any of them, but I vaguely have the month. Six was born in December. Mono was born in August. Low and RB were both July kids. RCG is a January kid. Alone is an October baby.

🤬 - Have you ever gotten into any arguments? If so, what was the worst one? How did you guys make up?

I've been in a few arguments with the LN kids about them taking care of themselves, but they're traumatized children who are scared of most adults, so I try not to argue with them and let most of what they do slide, as long as they aren't harming themselves.

The worst argument was with Laura. The argument was about her being treated like a child. Mind you, she's a vampire child, so she was around like, 9-12 years old when she turned. It was so bad, that Gabriel had to step in. It took two weeks before we spoke to each other again. I apologized for treating her like a child, I thought that she would have appreciated not having adult responsibilities placed on her, however I never put into consideration her trauma around being stuck as a permanent child. She apologized and told me, she was scared to be a child again, after so long of being a vampire. She thought she didn't deserve it, so she reacted in the only way she knew how. Things are better now and we're slowly healing her childhood innocence.

So, the only fanchild I have is Myrrh. Myrrh originally got their name from a fic I had started then scrapped. Gabriel adopts Myrrh and names them post-MoF. He calls them Myrrh, because myrrh is considered a holy plant and Gabriel thought that, despite the sling being a monster, their innocence made them holier than any of the actual holy knights that would try and kill him.

I haven't actually decided whether or not I want to change the reasoning behind their name, even though the background has changed. Also, Myrrh is too young to remember if they had any other names before Gabriel and I.

MercurySteam and Hideo Kojima literally made one of the most powerful, traumatized beings in the universe, and just.... released him into the world like a fucking feral cat. And I, a white woman, scooped him up and bring him home... Now he's spoiled and gets two spouses with now two kids. All because I said, yes, but what else does God owe this man for the thousand years of torture he forced him through?
