got out of bed at about 8:30 and i finished the remaining two assignments! today's lecture was on filipino komiks. it was awesome and i learnt a lot about the history of the philippines along the way. and now i have another assignment to write... went on a brief side quest on my way home to take pictures of the flowers:-D

fun fact - out of the order passeriformes (meaning "sparrow-shaped" in latin), under which about 65% of all bird species fall, the smallest kind found in bulgaria is the goldcrest kinglet (regulus regulus - "petty king/prince") which weights about 6-7 grams.

regulus is also the name of the brightest object in the leo constellation and the 21st brightest star on our sky. it may look singular, but it's actually a quadruple star system - though it is uncertain whether they are just four. originally the system was thought to have been fairly young, around 50-100 million years old. the later discovery of the fourth star, the white dwarf that orbits them, changes that estimate to being at the very least a billion years old! the regulus' primary star is egg-shaped and about 3.8 times larger than ours. its rotation period lasts a bit under 16 hours - that's very rapid compared to the sun's 25 days.

hmmmm well i was a film major but tbh i like certain genres better in certain mediums. like i really enjoy fantasy novels but i prefer my dramas on the screen

28. an unusual song that's your favorite? drifting by infinity frequencies! the whole album (between two worlds) is awesome but this track is particularly fun. it reminds me a lot of the hotel lobby soundtrack from undertale!

40. what's your favorite book and/or film?

my favorite book series of all time is the dark tower by stephen king. yes i know it's stephen king and large parts of it were written during his coke era but i am begging everybody to look past that just this once. it's so good. on the whole. there are things to be nitpicked (and more to go 🤨 📸 at) for sure but it's such a cool story. my favorite in the series is the second book, the drawing of the three. it honestly works pretty well as a standalone novel so if you're like "jaime im not reading 4250 pages of coked up wild west homestuck-esque shenanigans" you can always start with the drawing of the three and see how good it is. and then you'll want to read the rest and you will spend an inordinate amount of time reading the series and devising intricate plans to make sure no one in the state of maine is ever allowed to print the written word again. but it's good it's a good series

Calling into my dear friends butcher shop Perry and Son in Alveston South Gloucestershire North Bristol.

I picked up these wonderful fresh made Meat Balls With Cawl, I can't call them FxGGOTxS as the boys throw a wobbly and give me a week in jail lol 🤣

Omg I could eat these like apples they are awesome �� wonderful flavour and meat content, seasoned just perfect, served with Tiddly Roast Taters done in Beef Dripping in the air fryer, with carrots and peas with a proper thick onion gravy made with all the meat juices.

Well a couple of thick crusty tiger bread and butter rounds were in order too for mopping up the gravy eh, it's a West Country law 💪

Now that's eating like a Country King I telle mucker for Tiz Proper Job 😎💪🙏⚔️🛡️🤠

Actually it was Sunday Evening Dinner, alas this is the first chance I have had to post it ⚔️

HOGGET

Just look at this wonderful little leg joint, I purchased a whole hogget off my dear farmer friends who have a butchers shop too, I particularly asked for small joints etc, Wayne wow you guys have bread some of the finest Lamb and indeed Hogget I have ever had, the meat content was awesome, structure, flavour, a happy beast that came out in the cooking etc.

The butchery was quite simply world class, I am very particular how things are butchered, I. Judge the whole beast and it's eating on the butcher's cut, this I can tell you was butchered by what I would consider a world class master butcher, Kim my sweet I will be have another Lamb, Hogget or Mutton off you when this one is gone.

Now the eating of this wonderful little leg joint, mint marinated for 24 hours in my personal hand made rub, wrapped in parchment paper and tin foil, slow and low rotated for several hours, all the juices added to the gravy with the vegetables water, I don't waste anything, it just fell apart, moist, succulent and full of flavour, I was transported back to boyhood on the farm with the lamb coming out of the wood fired oven, an explosion of real taste of Hogget, the eruption of flavour just made me sigh with great happiness with memories of the farm kitchen come flooding back, WOW I have finally found a supplier worth their salt with butchery skills to match, this is a million miles apart from that tasteless stuff you get in the supermarket I telle.

Served with all the trimmings, roasted root vegetable, stuffing and a flat Yorkshire pudding as the blighter did not rise, the most wonderful minted gravy that was more like a sauce, a fine glass or two of Guinness to wash it all down, by golly stick a fork in me I am done.

My trip to Michael Perry's butchers was not just for the on the bone brisket, I purchased lots of wonderful meat and related products there.

Just look at these wonderful thick local pork chops, expertly butchered and presented, the fat to meat content was damn near perfect, they roasted up lovely, the crackling WOW so golden and crispy, the flavour of the meat was just awesome, served with home made oven chips and Jacklands Farm Shop cackle berries, some proper Salted Farmhouse buttered bread vans for the chip butty's washed down with a fine glass of chilled pino.

By golly stick a fork in me I am done, if you want quality meat from a master butcher go find Mike Perry and Son butchers in North Bristol/South Gloucestershire you won't be disappointed I guarantee 💪🙏🧔
