girl help i’ve been thinking nonstop for 12 hours about the parallels between much ado about nothing and the locked tomb series and you were the first person that came to mind who would possibly understand how feral it’s making me (specifically beatrice and benedick being a parallel for harrow and gideon respectively but also mercy and augustine in an even more tragic way)

There's the animosity hiding affection, of course

And there's something about a pivotal moment in their relationship in the play being when Benedick trusts Beatrice without question when she defends Hero, which is what Gideon hears from Pal when she doesn't trust Harrow.

I'd say Gideon has a parallel with Benedick based on 💫vibes💫 and being the more friendly of the two

With Harrow a think ot that deep sadness in Beatrice more than the wit she hides it with. There's a mention of the circumstances of her birth, and how Beatrice's mother cried, but then there was a star danced and under that she was born. I don't know if her mother died in childbirth, but there's definitely something tragic in her.

(Would Harrow's Hero be her house, one she actually isn't completely sure is worthy, unlike Beatrice?)

But she often cries in her sleep then wakes herself with laughter, which is very Gideon-y to me?

I'm not quite grasping it yet, my take on it is very flimsy, but I'm very intrigued, please tell me more about the parallels in both couples

i've got so many damn SpIn's / hyperfixations i want to talk about all of them BUT. top 4 characters (i kept increasing this number because i thought about another one and HAD to list them) have got to be remus j lupin (i have been, unfortunately, microwaving the marauders at very high speeds in my mind), magnus burnsides (a given), sokka, and now this one is deeply embarrasing but dean winchester!

💎 When and how did you discover your special interest?

i'm gonna talk about my nonfiction special interests for this one, being lighthouses and black holes - i took an astronomy class last semester and i got soooo excited abt really astronomy in general but specifically black holes, the poetic implications behind them! the way that light (massless) gets stuck in orbit around them because their gravity is so strong!!! ugh!!! and then i've loved lighthouses literally forever and i just decided to research them one day and then i was absolutely hooked. they are so beautiful every time i see one i cry.

💫 Favorite fact about your special interest?

i already gave a black hole fact so i'll give a lighthouse fact now!!! lighthouse keepers were often called lightkeepers (scrumptious)! also a modified version of the lens that was invented by augustin-jean fresnel (the fresnel lens) specifically to be used in lighthouses is now employed in car headlights, in order to refract and therefore amplify the light!!

𝕋𝕖𝕩𝕥𝕖 𝕕𝕦 𝕛𝕠𝕦𝕣 : 𝔼𝕡𝕙𝕖́𝕤𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕤 𝟚, 𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕖𝕥 𝟠 𝕒̀ 𝟡

Voyons cette explication plus approfondie de la nouvelle naissance dans les saintes écritures. La Bible dit que ceux qui reçoivent le Seigneur Jésus comme Sauveur sont nés :

«… non du sang, ni de la volonté de la chair, ni de la volonté de l’homme, mais de Dieu. » (Jean 1.13) La nouvelle naissance ne vient pas « du sang ». Cela signifie qu’elle ne vient pas de parents humains. Personne ne naît chrétien. Avoir des parents chrétiens est une chose merveilleuse, mais cela ne fait pas de toi un enfant de Dieu. Chacun de nous doit naître individuellement dans la famille de Dieu.

La nouvelle naissance ne vient pas « de la volonté de la chair ». Cela veut dire que personne ne peut devenir enfant de Dieu par ses propres efforts. On ne peut gagner la vie éternelle. Il faut la recevoir comme un don gratuit de Dieu.

La nouvelle naissance ne vient pas « de la volonté de l’homme ». Cela veut dire qu’aucun prédicateur ou aucun prêtre ne peut faire de toi un enfant de Dieu. Aucun sacrement, comme la communion ou le baptême, ne peut faire cela. Faire partie d’une église ne fait pas de toi un chrétien. La religion ne peut pas le faire.

La nouvelle naissance vient « de Dieu ». La Bible dit : « Car c’est par la grâce que vous êtes sauvés, par le moyen de la foi. Et cela ne vient pas de vous, c’est le don de Dieu. Ce n’est point par les œuvres, afin que personne ne se glorifie. » (Ephésiens 2.8, 9). Notre responsabilité dans la nouvelle naissance est de venir au Seigneur Jésus comme pécheur et de le recevoir comme notre Sauveur. La Bible dit : « Mais à tous ceux qui l’ont reçue, à ceux qui croient en son nom, elle [la Parole = le Seigneur Jésus-Christ] a donné le pouvoir de devenir enfants de Dieu» (Jean 1.12). Quand nous croyons vraiment que Jésus-Christ est mort pour nos péchés et que nous le recevons comme notre Sauveur, nous sommes nés de nouveau.
