Oh and remember, if you're not into this time of year and many of the feelings that come with it, you can always decide to revert to the Roman Lunar calendar, which for my money does things slightly better. There are 10 months instead of 12. The year ends in December, as the Gregorian calendar does, but, crucially, it doesn't begin again until March. The bit of time in between? Completely unsigned - maybe it was used for sleeping, which is time well spent if you ask me. Obviously this is northern hemisphere centric, but it makes total sense to set goals around March, when nature is waking up, rather than right now when it's very much asleep. So yeah, happy new year, but don't be too harsh on yourself through January and February, as you can always go old skool and start properly in March :)
