Working on some weapon throwing training with his team, Reiji looks up as other new genin approach. One is Metaru Lee, and his father accompanies him. “Hi!” Reiji gestures to their training area. “Are we in your way, Lee-san?”

"Oh hello Reiji!" Lee smiled broadly. "No, you do not interfere. But we have a reason for another test of endurance! Right, Metal? The power of youth is with us!"

Lee looked in surprise at the person in front of him. There was something strange about him.

"Um ... hi?"

"Lee, w-wait!" Ryū scrambles to reach him before he takes a swig from a bottle in his grip. "T-that's not your medicine! That's Tsunade-sama's sake!" WHY the sannin keeps bringing it into the hospital, she'll never understand. But she DOES know that if Lee drinks it, there's going to be trouble.

Lee did not hear Ryu's words. He managed to drink sake from the bottle and instantly get drunk. He immediately felt incredibly strong and he wanted to show it to the world.

"Ryu-san! See how I can!"

He jumped and tried to hit the bed with both legs at once. The cracking of Lee's bed and bones signaled that this was a bad idea.

Lee desperately tried to pretend that his wound was not at all serious.

Still recovering from his revival, Neji holds up a hand, breath panting. “Lee, a moment,” he asks, needing a pause in their spar. “My body is still not what it was before.” Which is frustrating, but he knows to be patient. Better to take his time, than have something go wrong due to his rushing and make things worse. “Perhaps we can take a break and have a drink of water.” He tries not to let his disappointment in himself show. Lee saw how hard was for Naji to train after all what happened. It was painfull for Lee. But even if Neji never regains his former abilities, he is alive. And he has more opportunities than Gai-Sensei has now. Their team will never be the same. But Lee was glad that Neji and Guy survived.

“Maybe we’ll end up today and go see Gai-Sensei?”

They were returning from the mission and stopped for a night’s rest. Lee sat leaning against a tree when Setsuki covered him with a blanket. He was pleased with her care, but he did not want her to be cold alone. He pulled her to him and covered her with a blanket, hugging her under him.
