Erana Cotta, my Shred Force oc comforting Nordic Bunny after his long day, yet again defeated by Shred Force 🤍

Introduction of my Shred Force oc, Erana Cotta

Erana Cotta is a steampunk cyborg as most parts works on mechanical and not very advanced like modern technology.

She was once a human but was abducted to become a slave and used as a weapon during wars but she managed to escape from the humans. Nordic Bunny found her alone (was captivated by her songs which lead them to her) so he took her in to his headquarters and now has a new friend 🎸🤍

At first, originally idea was to make her have dark music, tall rock gothic but I already have ocs that represent that part so my friend suggested to go for Steampunk (version for classical music), she explained how rock has sub genres and alternatives so I'm convinced and making her look more like a classy lady in the 90s. Though I'm still going through under her design so this isn't exactly her official yet until I post her official reference soon.

So which makes Erana has two outfits, one is her old steampunk appearance and another new one (which she currently is wearing in the doodle above) is alternative rock steampunk, a touch of rock influence to her appearance as a sign her appreciation and love for Rock and Nordic Bunny who is also into rock 🎸🤍

One of her main powers is singing which helps fulfilled and regain energy to his minions (ref to Lilith from Hazbin Hotel)

At first their dynamic relationship was based off loser x goddess but after I watched Fluttercord moments, their dynamic is exactly how I imagined it would be. A loud cocky chaotic partner with deep insecurities and anxiety with a quiet soft partner who is also very vocal when she's alone with her partner whether she's expressed her love or having deep/serious discussion with him. Since Nordic Bunny has no one else but himself and his minions, it makes sense to me that the whole friendship AND relationship might still be complicated and new to him.

oh boy probably our addams family set?? it was three moving pieces that connected at different points in the show and it looked absolutely stunning when it was fully painted everyone put so much work in it

From worst to best keeping in mind that this is a flawless album:

Communist daughter. Too much semen. I am sure it is a metaphor for something deep but I simply do not like to think to think about semen on mountaintops.

In the aeroplane over the sea. Overrated. It's decent throughout, but only gets good during the "Now, how I remember you" part. It is simply too small it feels much longer than its 3 minutes and I cannot see how it became the titular song of that album like it's not that good. But to be fair it is strange to be anything at all no lie detected in that. Bonus points for the lack of semen I like my songs semen free.

[untitled]. How is your song untitled simply title it lol... This has bagpipes in it which is always fun. Kind of... Steampunk pirate ship setting off to haunt for treasure in a lost galaxy vibes. Idk I don't explain my poetry often just imagine some Scottish aliens. Or a willing victim of alien abduction. This is what this song is about.

The Fool: a military march emanating doom + reference to what is perhaps the best Shakespearean archetype/tarot card. Did anyone here play plants Vs zombies 2 as a child... If so do you remember the music that played in the mediaeval ages. Plants Vs zombies 2 had such sick music.

King of carrot flowers pts. 2 & 3: I simply cannot place this song very high in the rank considering it starts with "I love you, Jesus Christ". That is simply not my vibe people will overhear me and think that I'm listening to Christian rock. But it gets so cool around the 1:30 mark when the helicopter/aeroplane sounds start. And cool dead foetus imagery that's always fun. Huge fun of dead foetus imagery. Very cool things happening with the guitar 🤠🎸 cool dead dog imagery as well.

Two-headed boy: first of all all things two-headed are a bonus like yes please continue referencing horrific and genocidal human experimentation!! And it's so romantic in the way carrion is romantic if you get it you get it if you don't you don't it is that simple. Nice cords too it feels like something you could sing around a campfire if you like your campfire songs to include human experimentation and I do. And not to be like the girl who has only read Jenny Holzer truisms but you know that one about surgery and sex... This has huge Jenny Holzer truism about the sensations of sex and surgery. And such a great transition into the Fool you can tell it's coming long before it does :)

Two-headed boy pt. 2: not as high as it could be because it starts with weird alien noises but it's so beautifully plaintive. Perchance the most beautiful lyrics the album has to offer. There is another reference to a mewling two-headed calf wrapped in newspapers and brought to a museum which everyone on here loves don't we. And literally "in my dreams you're alive and you're crying" this makes me think of the only good scene in phantom thread when Daniel Day Lewis looks at his mother's ghost and starts crying because he cannot hear what she's saying. Plus I always enjoy elegies for dead brothers for ummm personal reasons. The very gentle letting go at the end of the song is saur sad like both the speaker and his brother have to let go and also umm the singer needs to let go of his weird obsession with Anne Frank.

King of carrot flowers pt. 1: getting to the crème de la crème here :-) this song manages to maintain this unique and magical childhood mythology without shying away from it's gruesome and scarring parts. And the last line with that plaintive note, nearly a howl, but in this. Controlled way.

Holland, 1945: we are now in "nearly impossible to rank because they're all masterpieces" territory. The horrors and joys of reincarnation, the determined glee of celebrating two lives tragically and cruelly cut short. The title is simple, evocative, and memorable. And the lines onward from "and here's where your mother sleeps" are so enchantingly beautiful + sick reference to the White roses. You know how it is I don't need to explain.

Ghost: this and the first place really are almost impossible to rank they are both perfect songs. But this is undeniably the more enjoyable of the two and slightly less likely to get you kicked off the aux. We need more art pieces about hauntings that aren't scary like the scary stuff is good but shrouds the celebratory nature of grief. And is there a better line than "and one day in New York city, baby, a girl fell from the sky, from the top of a burning apartment building, 14 stories high" saur many historical events you could tie to this not all of them New York related and dare I say brothers Lionheart vibes... And the harpsichord (??) is doing so much. Like the swishy, windy instrument that comes in around 3:20.

Oh comely: it feels sacrilegious to put this after Ghost as it transitions so beautifully into it. But it's the angriest song of the album and anger can be very fruitful, artistically, when rightly harnessed. Though it is so easy to say a work of art is good because it carries righteous anger like no it needs to actually be good. And this is. And it's also 8 minutes long. And if you play it you will never be handed the aux again. But the warped El Malei Rachamim is haunting (I hate this transcription wtf) + the dead foetus imagery returns and we always like dead foetus imagery. This is so good that it's the highest on this list despite referencing semen and semen put Communist daughter the lowest of all! And the song carries you through this one very modern, very American, very late-capitalist, girl's struggles, until it moves to "I know they buried her body with others, her sister and mother and five hundred families" and the "know all your enemies" becoming all the more poignant now that we have a very likely suspect for who betrayed the people hiding in the annexe. And the decomposing in a field together imagery... Hozier wishes.

I shall now rank all songs from the critically acclaimed album in the aeroplane over the sea. Literally no-one asked for this
