He met you on the first day of set. You were messing with a camera tripod that wasn't working properly. Muttering swears as you look at the metal contraption.

You were too busy trying to figure out the stupid camera to notice the man looking at you.

As shooting went on there was a day the director wasn't there. The producer stepped up, only issue was the producer was an asshole. It was a student film anyways.

As they shot a scene you realize one of the actors was going too far near the road during a flashback scene.

You automatically shot up behind the camera. Meanwhile the producer was too busy flirting with another person.

"Cut! Cut you dumbasses." You shout, setting down your headphones as you run from behind the camera. "Fucking stop Jim!" You yelled as Jimmy and Daisuke looked at you confused, stopping in their tracks.

"The fuck Y/N!?" The producer shouted once he realized what had happened.

"Are you fucking stupid!?" You yelled, finally snapping at the guy in front of you. "They were way too close to the fucking road you know cars just speed through here. You say as if on cue a car speeds past them.

"Yeah yeah, know your God damn place camera girl." The producer sneered. Curly then walked up.

"Calm down Daniel, she was just looking out for the crew, you obviously weren't." Curly said, defending his coworker.

"Watch it Grant, I can have your ass fired if I wanted to." Daniel said, crossing his arms as if he won.

"I'm sure Vivian would love to hear that you fired her only actor that knows what he's doing. No offense guys" Curly says. Turning towards his costars for a moment.

"none taken" Daisuke says. He took the job out of boredom. Jimmy took the job after you begged him for a week straight. And Swansea took it because Daisuke offered him up.

Curly volunteered for the job because he thought you were cute and wanted to spend more time with you.

Daniel scoffed and walked away. Muttering something about the two of you.

Curly laughed as the other man walked off.

Ever since then the two of you got closer.

After shooting wrapped up he asked you out.

Curly was nervous before your first date.

He took you out to a movie.

You ended up talking through a majority of it, ranting about the different shots and how they did the practical effects.

He loved listening to you the spark you had for film.

One date because two, then three, then before you two knew it he was asking you to move in with him.

Of course you said yes, you two got an apartment your last year of college.

ANYWAY!

Do you think Nightmare has more psychological control over Killer than any other form? I think Killer can fight back (no thought if he would win or not) but the mental power that Nightmare has over him immobilizes him.

Maybe that's why Nightmare chose Killer: he had already been subjected to so much, controlled by someone as cruel and sadistic as Nightmare. It was too tempting to just ignore such a perfect pawn.

And yes absolutely. I do think physical abuse is still very much a staple in their relationship (nightmare has canonically choked killer unconscious before and left him limp on the floor), but I do believe a lot of it was massively during the first few weeks of Killer’s captivity. Before he was ever sent out in the field—because Nightmare needed to get through Stage 3, to beat Killer into submission. Like..horrifically breaking in a horse.

However, I don’t think physical abuse really works much as a punishment or deterrent for Stage 2—he’s shown to be very much able to just uh..dissociate from any emotions attached to the memories of Stages 1 and 3. And he himself is very desensitized to violence, and enjoys pain, doesn’t seem to have any limits on what he enjoys.

So unless Nightmare can find a way to remove Stage 2’s framing of pain as “fun” and “enjoyable,” then he’s not going to get anywhere using that as a punishment.

It’ll be a mix of everything of course, and Killer is still being physically abused when in Stage 2 and threatened, but that’s only when Nightmare is annoyed and lashing out—trying to put Killer back in his place or to make him shut up, like a little stress doll he can use. It won’t work as an effective punishment when he’s like that.

It will, however, work on Stage 1. I’d imagine that any time Killer has another situation like in the Stage 4 comics—being triggered into Stage 1 and compromising Nightmare’s goals—then he will be brutally punished in any way that’s possible.

It’d depend on Nightmare’s preferred methods, but I still doubt he’d be anywhere near gentle even if the physical abuse isn’t the “worse” part of the punishment.

Stage 3, I feel, would physically fight for the longest—and anytime Killer’s overpowered or forced back into another Stage, he’d take to trying to run and hide away instead the next time he’s in stage 3.

I’d imagine that Nightmare doesn’t allow Killer to remain in Stage 3 around him for very long—and the more Killer starts falling back into submission or is beaten into it, flop response to wait until it’s over as soon as he’s triggered back into a lower Stage, the less Nightmare seems to have to “deal with” Stage 3–as Killer starts falling back into learned helplessness.

I’d imagine Nightmare has been bitten by Stage 3 many times before lmao.

And I’d imagine that Killer likely doesn’t know if those moments are real or not, and perhaps Nightmare thinks he doesn’t remember them very clearly until Stage 3 starts cropping back up, so it’s very easy to convince him he has no power or choice.

Leave a door open to his cage and he won’t leave because what if it’s a trap, what if it’s a test. What if something worse is out there. What if he’s caught. Stage 2 won’t even spare the door a second glance, but he would in Stage 1 —and he’d be held back by how helpless and trapped he feels to risk it.

-So glad this competition was super fun and engaging! Ngl, the pre votes made me a bit nervous due to it having low submissions and then setting every thing was a ton of work due to the long titles but again thx you all for voting! I love hearing people’s thoughts and analytics to R&M so reading reblogs and comments made me chuckle and it was very nice to engage with the RnM fandom ✨ :)

-The fact that Close Rick counters and Ricklantis mix up, both most talked about episodes in the show, lost early in the competition shocked me a bit! They both brought something deep to the show.

-No one asked for Pickle Rick but testing and seeing if we pass the “pickle Rick stereotypical dude bro kinda stage” and seeing it was one of the lowest voted was a relieve (and if your favorite was pickle Rick. I mean I see it what you’re saying LOL).

-The vat of acid seems to also be a fan fav but in my opinion that episode was kinda a bummer because the way Morty was treated.

-So glad a Jerry episode got top 4

-Shocking but not that some of the top episodes was Rick Prime centric.

Did Unmortricken deserve to win over Rickshank Rickdemption ?

Depends on who you ask! Both have big wins. First off, this was the first time we saw Ian shine as Rick with both amazing performances with Rick and Rick Prime. Second, Evil Morty still gets a win even if Ricklantis mix up lost and also the start of the Morty and evil Morty bonding art YES! The soundtrack and fight sequence was just chef kiss. Is Morty good in this episode? He was decent. Anyways- I do say Rickshank Rickdemption was very good with its timing and characterization with Morty’s and Summer’s character really shines through here. Reading each reblog made me realize how both impactful these episodes are when they both first aired. Tbh, if I did watch Rickshank Rickdemption when it aired- maybe a vote?? The very first episode I watch of rnm was the S4 finale 😭- Unmortricken woke me up and hyped me up after a long day and that’s why it had my vote. I couldn’t stop yapping about it for days. Also the hug ughhh-

In conclusion, in my humble opinion- night family and the gay birdrick episode should’ve went higher 😭/lh

|| ❗I can't say this enough— this blog is only for yandere content, so it will automatically default to it, so fluff or comfort is always gonna be a lie or non-existent because this is on the more disturbing side of this trope...

However I do ask for a little bit of substance, like a plot to follow or an idea/prompt. It's already hard enough whacking my brain for ideas, id love to see your guy's scenarios, and I'd love to bring them to life!

Also if the kind of reader is left unspecific, I will usually default write it as gender neutral with some female coding. Ofc.

Does my art NEED to be Summer themed?

Yes, but how your squids enjoy the Summertime is wholly unique to them — If they like to stay inside and play video games as the sun shines outside, that’s just as valid as hitting the beach or lounging poolside. In the case of the NSFW edition, maybe sunbathing in the nude is more their speed.

Will my contribution be guaranteed to appear in the book?

If you want your artwork featured in the book, it needs to be completed and submitted by the deadline. If you feel you cannot meet the deadline, seriously consider if you want to be a part of this project.

Can I draw official characters instead of OCs?

Yes! While the initial idea was to showcase OCs, you’re welcome to draw original characters as well.

Can I commission someone to provide art for the book?

Yes! If the artist can submit it by the deadline.

Can I collaborate with another artist?

Yes! If you can submit it by the deadline.

Is this SFW?

Yes, the fanzine is predominantly SFW. If there are enough submissions, there will be a NSFW edition as well.
