(@myosotisa actually has done this and i kiss her big beautiful brain every day for it because i fucking love it. she's so smart and does it more justice than i ever could.)

i just wanna sit and imagine steve with those cursed black veins spreading out around his eyes, growing darker and darker with each passing day. and all of his best qualities, his fierce loyalty and stubborn love and need to keep those he cares for safe, twisting into his own damnation. all the love turning into dark possessiveness, all the need to keep you safe veering into extreme measures that never would have crossed his mind prior to vecna's influence. give me a steve who would no longer just fight for you, but kill for you. and he can justify it all, truly believing he still has the best of intentions without ever seeing that he's started down a path you simply can't follow. never seeing that he's losing the one he loves most, this time by his own two hands.

Hi Mera! I had a thought while I was playing TWST, and since Halloween is coming up soon, I had some thoughts of gravekeeper Riddle.

I can't stop thinking about how he'd act on his role as the gravekeeper in a cemetery, constantly tending to graves and making sure no one dares to tread into his territory. Some made up rumors of how terrifying it is to go there at dead of night because you swear you see two gray blues watching you like a hawk...

In comes ghost bride darling who probably dressed up as such for the night, but the attire and makeup makes them look beautiful for him to take his eyes off of them! Although they were left behind by their companions out of a dare, they still look beautiful, and Riddle is a kind man... He can always help them out! With a... Price, of course.

Ghost bride probably looked like a mess because of the dare, or maybe they're scared of what they saw without their friends. Silly bride, Riddle is here to help! He can always lead them out, but who's to say that he wanted to keep her this time... For himself?

Oooh, ghost bride being his darling little song bird too... orz orz his groovy haunts me because I keep thinking of him having to lie down in such a position and causing ghost bride to end up flustered (which would be so funny if he does as well, mostly out of embarrassment).

Gravekeeper Riddle is one of my favorite flavors of Riddle. orz he's so spooky and gothic and his groovy uuuwuaaaaa... everything about it is so perfect. The way he lies on the coffin, his heels, his smirk, his lipstick.......... and if you were a lonely, wandering ghost bride who is unable to pass onto the spirit realm and gravekeeper Riddle takes a fancy to you... naturally, the rules state he ought to find a way to send you onwards so that your lingering attachments can be resolved, but he's just so fond of you. You have the prettiest voice and you're still dressed in your wedding attire. You always speak so sweetly to him as well, and he falls even more in love with you with each passing night.

It's difficult to love a ghost, mainly because in order to truly love you he himself must also become a ghost. Riddle weighs his options. He can keep you trapped in the human world with him, where he'll do his best to grant all of your fantasies and such, and you'll always stay with him, unable to leave for anyone else. If you insist on kissing, he can find ways around it, such as holding up a mirror fragment as a barrier so that your lips won't truly touch. <3 it's romantic in its own way.

He'll distract you from your main objective of finding a lost love who will likely never return. He'll be your love instead. Just stay here with him. He keeps your grave cleaned and polished, and he takes such good care of the surrounding grounds so that nothing will ever wilt. You can trust him. He means well, and he only wishes to protect you. There's nothing to be frightened of. He's not a scary human. After all, he loves you so very much. Too much, arguably, and maybe you're his own lingering attachment he just can't shake. :) not in life and certainly never in death.

Ugh, don’t get me started on Hugh Jackman especially as Van Helsing. For me, it started with watching The Little Vampire when I was a kid. Cirque Du Freak did NOT make it better and I am only slightly ashamed by my Twilight phase. It is actually quite alarming how much vampire content I was ingesting as a child and it explains so much.

Astarion has only reignited my love for vampy men.

Also yes! The ramifications of the exposure are not talked about enough!! Especially because it was hinted that breathing in or interacting with the Upside Down wasn’t good (hazmat suits S1) so how is it that they ran around Vecna’s playground most of S4 without repercussions? There has to be something! We just need everyone to turn into a version of the X-men with all of the exposure to toxic chemicals and otherworldly fumes at this point tbh

But I need to check out @myosotisa stuff because if she’s explored it I need to read it, inject it into my veins!

vamp!Steve isn’t talked about enough at all!

I imagine, everyone is worried about the kids (El and Will) that no one is really paying attention to Steve. And he isn’t worried either. His thoughts focused on his friends, his found family. But slowly the dark thoughts creep in. Insidious images that plague his dreams and it isn’t anything like what Nancy saw. He never sees Vecna but he can feel him. Lurking in the recesses of his brain. And one night he turns, writhing in pain as he sleeps. Skin slick with sweat. Veins protruding, thick and black with poison. Scars tissue from the bat bites aching like they’re brand new. And when he opens his eyes he isn’t Steve, or at least not entirely Steve. This version is angry, blood thirsty. Willing to hunt and maim and kill. And just like you said - he can justify it all! His family is in danger, you’re in danger. But soon the images of killing enemies turn to flashes of killing you and he can’t resist.

I’d imagine he’s quarantined like they did Will except Steve is stronger. Vecna will do anything to kill you because you’re the one person stopping Steve from falling fully under his spell. From allowing Vecna to have the servant he needs to fulfill his plans.

But that’s just how my brain imagines a Steve who slowly falls into madness and starts losing every bit of humanity 😅

I shall live to fuel this insanity (y’all are really just fueling mine) I need Steve to be pushed to the brink of madness and for his character to have another arc (an evil one)

i giggled at the idea of everyone just becoming a version of the x men ngl

but no, you get! the! vision! the way it starts off justifiable before becoming sinister, the way everyone would turn such a blind eye!! it would be so devastating to see steve, a character who was meant to start off as awful and grow and develop into the character we now know and love, fall to an even worse fate than when he began. i'd say it would be a circle rather than an arc, but even at his worse, steve was never pure evil like that. and to be honest, i just wanna see it. it'll never be canon. but i! wanna! see! it!

you being the only person holding him back, tethering what little is left of who he was to this world. you are the only wrench in vecna's plans and it would infuriate him. and it's worse because he wants you dead, will try to manipulate steve into doing the dirty work for him, but the only thing standing in his way is still you. because you exist, and you're there, and that's enough to keep steve harrington holding out just a little bit longer.

this lil sandbox is so lovely. all the angst potential, all the soft potential for when that glimpse of old steve peaks back through. it's just. GAH. it's wonderful. i love it. i fuckin love it.
