open starter

jjs heart hammered in his chest, a frantic beat that echoed in his ears as he sprinted down the narrow street, dodging parked cars and debris. the flash of blue and red lights behind him blurred into the night, a constant reminder that the cops were closing in. his breath came in ragged gasps, lungs burning from the run, but he couldn’t afford to slow down. not now.

he cut a sharp left down an alley, his boots skimming over the cracked pavement, his mind racing. he’d been stupid, way too reckless. the party, the fight—not like topper didn’t deserve that punch or multiple punches in his pretty boy face, the stolen car—everything was spiraling out of control, and now the cops were on his tail. he could hear their voices in the distance, shouting orders into their radios, the crackle of their walkie-talkies cutting through the air. it was only a matter of time before they caught up with him.

"shit," jj muttered under his breath, wiping sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand. he looked around, trying to find an escape, a place to hide. and then, just as he turned the corner, he saw it. a house. quiet. dark. no signs of life. but it was a door. and in that moment, it was his only chance.

without thinking, he made a break for it, his legs pumping faster as he rushed up the front steps. his shoes slapped against the wood as he pressed himself against the wall beside the door, trying to catch his breath and steady his pulse. he knocked on the door, the sound harsh in the stillness of the night. no one answered. of course not. why would they?

jj’s gaze darted down the street, the sirens getting closer. he couldn’t be seen here. he couldn’t let them catch him. his hand went to the doorknob instinctively. locked. of course. but there was no time to hesitate. he tried the window next, peeking through the blinds to make sure no one was inside. nothing. not even the faintest flicker of light.

it was a risk, but he didn’t have a choice. hepushed the window up, the creak of the frame making his stomach flip. he slipped inside, hoping to god no one was awake to see him. the coolness of the house hit him immediately, and he paused for a moment, adjusting to the darkness.

his heartbeat was still racing as he backed away from the window, looking around quickly. he climbed through the window and ducked out of sight underneath the window frame. he needed to figure out what to do next, but for now, all he could do was wait. stay out of sight.

the sound of distant sirens still lingered, but they were fading. jj breathed out slowly, his chest tightening with both relief and anxiety. he couldn’t stay here long, he knew that. but for a moment, he allowed himself to take a breath, to calm down.

it wasn’t long before he heard a voice. quiet, but clear.

I am currently seeking roleplays based on the Outer Banks television show! I am seeking someone to play Sarah Cameron for me and am willing to double as anyone you want in return!

I am currently working my way through the fourth season, but I do not mind spoilers. It is my preference to play a male OC opposite of Sarah, with John B being my second choice.

Ideally, I would love to write a story with elements of romance and the mystery/adventure that we love from the show. My male OC would replace Topper as Sarah's season 1 boyfriend. I am looking for their romance to be the total opposite of what she had in the show with Topper. It would be a happy, healthy romance with the OC being a free spirit, much like Sarah. He was born into a fairly rich family just like her, but he always had a knack for going on adventures and exploring. In fact, his mother grew up as a Pogue, and she told him a number of stories about trouble she would cause, sparking an interest in that exploration for him. Obviously, this type of story would omit her relationship with John B, but I still like the idea of these two getting tangled up with the Pogues. I had in mind that they ended up checking out the ship wreckage in Season 1 after the hurricane passed and ran into the Pogues while doing this - or maybe they found a treasure map of their own. I'm open to ideas!

If we go the route of John B/Sarah, I would simply love to have a rewrite where he is more empathetic towards her when she's going through some of her trials and more supportive, leading to them not ever having to break up.

Regardless of the pairing, you can probably tell that I am hoping to write a happy romance for Sarah's character, but we can still have plenty of drama as they would definitely get into a lot of trouble on their adventures. I am happy to write darker/less happier stories for your half of the doubling, however. I do not have many limits and smut/nsfw is preferred! If interested, please interact and I will reach out!
