annnd now heres a ton of kiddads headcanons as well because i love them

- unlike his dad Sparrow actually needs to wear glasses, and hes practically blind without them

- Lark does the thing where your dad stands either in front or behind the couch to watch the TV while ur watching something, he'll do this to Hero whenever shes watching anime constantly

- Terry Jr. started writing the journal the teens read, before the forgotten realms trip, it was something his therapist told him might help with how angry he used to be, he just ended up using it to also record all of the things that happened in the forgotten realms (it went from angsty teen bs to horror stories real quick)

- Nicky has a minions tattoo

- Grant would skip most of his PE classes except when they were playing soccer

- Lark has beef with one of Normal's teachers at Teen High because Normal said she was being rude and stressing him out (he went to Norm's parent teacher conferences just to threaten her, Sparrow had to hold him back)

- Nicky once drank a glow stick, not on a dare or anything, he just wanted to know if it would make him glow (it didnt)

- Sparrow learned to paint and draw from Mercedes

- when Lark pisses people off who he actually doesnt want to be pissed at him, he'll bake them a pie (for some reason thats always his go to for apologies, luckily Sparrow really likes pie)

- Terry Jr. gets his nails done every two weeks, the workers at the nail salon know him

- Grant can take apart and put guns back together, he does this when hes anxious

- after losing his arm, Nicky would refuse help when doing things, instead he would just use his teeth constantly

- Sparrow drew all the other kiddads as furries when he was a kid, Nicky still has the drawing

- Lark is really good at driving but cannot ride a bike for the life of him

- Grant got Nicky to pierce his ears without telling his parents

- Terry Jr. cries at every sad movie he ever watches

- when Hero was born and Sparrow was going between working for D.A.D.D.I.E.S. and taking care of her, he used to get so overtired he would lecture the other kiddads about certain things in a gentle parenting tone (it worked on nicky)

- Nicky is a really good cook, if the doodler hadn't been released he was thinking about going to culinary school

- Terry Jr. used to babysit the teens (excluding scary ofc) when they were little a lot (he was the only person Grant trusted to watch Lincoln)

God, I love him so freaking much!! Look at his cute face painted for Día de Los Muertos, AHHHHH!! 🥹 Also, his outfit?? He LOOKS SO COZY!!! Miguel in fall/winter clothing is one of my favorite things as a lover of fall and winter. I can imagine his sweater is the softest and coziest, and it smells soooo good 😩 -- a mixture of his natural scent, detergent, and cologne (Lord have mercy; I’m having an idea about that now… Maybe future stuff…🫢). The piece of hair across his forehead -- let me take a moment because that always does something to me!! I just want to play with his hair and kiss his forehead. sigh

Also, I adore the look on his face sm ❤️ He looks so satisfied here, like, “I’m Dulzura’s solecito!!” I can actually see him looking like this without even realizing it because he’s truly so happy, touched, and honored to be given this new nickname from us, his Dulzura!!

Also, I see Kira in the background!! Maybe we can see her in the future with her pretty headband and makeup done for the celebrations along with Miguel's??? 👀 Perhaps??

When you think of an angel, what do you imagine it holding? A bow and arrow, perhaps? Maybe a lyre?

But a trumpet is so much more official. Attention grabbing, regal, intimidating. Announcing the arrival of such a figure to anyone that hears. Important enough to warrant a live announcement. Sometimes annoying, inviting, or distant. Always loud.

And yet that very same trumpet, forever doomed to obey its instincts. No matter how hard it tries, it can’t produce any sound but one.

No matter how hard it tries to change, it can’t. With certain decisions, one can alter the pitch of its notes. But not the sound. Never the sound. It will always stay the same, forever.

The boundless nature of the earth found this so nice that it created a plant of this name. An angel’s trumpet; isn’t it so pretty? Such a vain and conceited plant, showcasing its rich colors and beautiful petals for all to see.

It’s also a toxic plant. Poisonous, killing anything it touches, destroying, decaying. It would’ve erased itself long ago, screaming at anyone that gets too close to stay back. It only stays because someone else decided it was too pretty to let go.

So toxic, in fact, that it can only rely on others for survival. It is not safe with itself.

… You could also say this flower is a person.

Being a human and something else that I wouldn't classify as nonhuman can feel kinda lonely in the alterhuman community.

I feel connected to being human. I like being human. I am fully human.

But I am also a shadow being.

And that still feels more connected to my human identity. It doesn't feel nonhuman to me. It's an extension of my humanity.

My form is human (even in my mind) but I feel as if I am one with the shadows and the night and the darkness. They feel like me. I feel like I should be able to become part of them. But I'll still remain a human if I do. My form would just be less solid, which it should be. The human body can feel too small and restrictive and, well, too solid, too corporeal, but I still like it and it still feels like me (it just has one too many restrictions, but usually I'm alright with that).

I love being what I am but it is sad seeing so few things I can relate to and seeing so many equate alterhumanity with nonhumanity when that has never been what it's meant. Alterhuman means so much more than that. And it would be nice seeing that be acknowledged and included more.

lorenthur's love is akin to two dogs fated by a mutual leash. two canines who's collars are chainlinked together and keeping them close by. no matter how far they separate, that chain is still linking them together.

their love is two dogs sinking teeth into each other's necks, a desperate attempt at keeping each other close and a plea to stay that they're willing to draw blood amidst the clinginess. this is no toxicity nor no disrespect in these actions and attachments, no, it's a desperate and mutual plea to make each other stay.

they may bark and growl at each other, but come nightfall is when they join at the top of a mountain and curl beneath a tree. they rely on each other for warmth and security, both used to being lone canines exiled from what they both once cherished.

why wear the nametags when they are familiar with each other? they are both their own kennels, both okay with being safe in each other's presence. whether it's desperate claws and whines as the distress of another timeloop, or teeth sunken into flesh as they beg each other to stay and make everything work. that everything will be okay despite the clock always ticking.
