you rolled your eyes and crinkled the paper back up before walking away to throw it in the recycling. however, connor was left confused when you didn't return after a few minutes. he got up and walked into your shared bedroom, seeing you curled up in the sheets, facing towards the window.

he sighed as best as he could before kneeling on the bed and placing his hand on your shoulder. at first, you ignored him, knowing he would continue to talk despite your lack of acknowledgment, but then you sighed as well when you remembered he couldn't speak.

you turned around on the bed, crossing your arms while still buried in the sheets, and proceeded to glare up at him.

he stared back at you before reaching for his phone and you watched as he moved his fingers across the keyboard in lightning speed. he handed you his phone, waiting for you to finish reading it.

'i'm sorry, i know you're just trying to take care of me. it's just frustrating not even being able to talk or eat.'

you moved your eyes from the screen to his face and handed his phone back without so much as a word. finally you spoke softly, "i know it's frustrating, connie, but..."

Decided to revamp this blogs purpose to an AU askblog! It’s a revamped post from my other account.

Resilience AU

After years of the museum having been abandoned, the Twisteds began to adapt more and more in order to more easily kill the Toons, due to this, the Toons begin to do things that would help lower the chances of them dying, and even gaining more abilities.

In this AU, Mains are protected heavily due to their 2 hearts and multiple abilities. If the main dies, Toons will be thrown out and forced to stay on the elevator to forever search the abandoned museum.

GROUPS

Leaders = Followers have to listen to these Toons in order to assure the mains that they were assigned with full protection. Followers get a strike for every time they disobey the leader. After 3 strikes, they are kicked from the group and assigned to a job in the museum instead.

Followers = Listens to the leaders. will NOT be given meds if the main or leader has one less heart.

Kicked Toons = Toons kicked from groups due to disobedience. Usually help in the museum for when the Toons come back up from the bottom floors.

Unpicked = These Toons are not in a group and instead have a job up on the higher floors. Will be given groups as more lore for the actual game is added.

Special = These Toons are not in groups and will NEVER be in groups due to certain circumstances such as having only one heart, no abilities or simply in Shrimpo’s case, being too difficult. These Toons are instead always up at the higher floors helping to keep the building at least somewhat lively.

SHRIMPO was kicked from group 🐚 due to frequent disobedience and risking the health of his fellow Toons. He has been demoted to working in the kitchen.

Current Toons abilities

All Toons with “Selfish” abilities have gained another ability that would benefit others rather than just themselves. On top of this, they have gained “defects” that will make it harder for them to function.

LOOEY

HEART OF HELIUM(PASSIVE): For each missing heart this Toon has, they gain 20% more walk and run speed mulitplier. At one heart this Toon gains 40% more speed multiplier. His speed is reduced back when healed.

CONFUSING ACT(ACTIVE): This Toon can do a circus act, confusing all nearbyTwisteds and causing them to slow their chasing by 5%.

DEFECT=FRAGILE BALLOON: When being hit by a Twisted, this Toon has a 10% chance of losing two Hearts instead of just one.

COSMO

SHARING IS CARING(ACTIVE): This Toon can give one of his own hearts to heal a targeted Toon. Cannot be used when at 1 Heart. Has a Cooldown of 60.

DEFECT=MOLDY: if this Toon goes 5 rounds without healing somebody, they will automatically lose a heart. Does not work at 1 Heart.

RUDIE

ANTLER CHARGE(ACTIVE): This Toon uses his antlers to quickly charge forward in a short burst, increasing his movement speed for 0.4 seconds. Has a Cooldown of 23. 20% chance to stun a Twisted if he is running into them.

DEFECT=OUTCAST: If there is no other Christmas Toon in this Toon’s round, his stealth will be lowered by 15%

TISHA

TIDY UP(ACTIVE): This Toon can create a pulse that increases the Movement Speed of Toons around her by 25% for 5 seconds. Has a cooldown of 50.

DEFECT=OVERWORKER: After doing more than 2 Machines, this Toon’s Stamina lowers by 20 for the rest of the floor.

BOXTEN

WIND UP(PASSIVE): This Toon gains 6% more Extraction Speed for every alive Toon in the round. Maxes at 48%.

MUSICAL CHAIRS(ACTIVE): This Toon plays a soothing melody whenever he goes which lowers Stealth drastically, however, the Toon may turn this off in exchange for higher Stealth and boosting the Movement Speed of any Toon nearby.

DEFECT=WORRIED WORT: This Toon’s Skillcheck lowers by 5% for every Twisted in the round.



POPPY

FOAMY ESCAPE(ACTIVE): This Toon can create tons of bubbles around her, making her and other toons within the foam invisible to Twisteds for 5 seconds

PANIC POP(PASSIVE): This Toon receives a 50% Speed boost for 3 seconds when attacked.

DEFECT=FRAGILE BUBBLE: When being hit by a Twisted, this Toon has a 10% chance of losing two Hearts instead of just one.

SHRIMPO

PENT UP FURY(ACTIVE): This Toon delivers a hard blow to a Twisted, stunning them for 5 seconds.

DEFECT=BULLY: Stealth is drastically lower than any other Toon. Only play this Toon if you are looking for a challenge.

My opinion on ships (Part 2):🌙Moonflower🌼

If you don’t know, this is a dandy’s world ship, that includes: Astro and Dandy

• Who are they ?

Astro is a moon, confirmed as male, and one of the main character in the game. Dandy is a gay- i mean rainbow flower (A daisy to be exact on my perspective), also confirmed as male, who is unplayable in the game.

It is complicated, since dandy’s an "antagonist" and Astro is canonly the only one who still talks with Dandy after the ichor incident (Or idk).

• Why are they shipped ?

There’s reasons, probably more than fruitcake tho.

- Dandy’s shop: When buying a toon, Dandy would usually say something like "Good choice" or something like that. But when buying Astro, Dandy doesn’t say anything but "...", i think Astro is Dandy’s only source of hope of moving on or smth. (Idk)

- Interactions: In a interaction between Astro and Peeble, Astro asks how is Dandy, and both of them show care for him.

In another interaction, between Sprout and Vee, Vee mentions that Dandy would walk away when she’s around, she also mentions that Dandy would go to’talk to Astro, probably because he’s the only one that he can rely on.

On a conversation with Astro, Teagan asks him if he stills talks to him (Mentioning dandy), Astro says he stills does, but not as often, which justifies it is more complicated since the ichor incident.

A conversation between Connie and Astro mentions that him and Dandy only talks about past episodes.

• What is your personal opinion

I really see why people ship them, one of my personal favourite ship out of all dandy’s world ship, and i really see it happening one day after the whole thing is over probably.

• Bonus Fact

Moonflower is also a flower, something that make them special is that they knly bloom at night. It can be found in tropical and subtropical regions of North and South America, from Argentina to northern Mexico, Arizona, Florida and the West Indies. Moonflower grow best in full sun.

A plant ref. is the reason I went to the used bookstore. I have many books on plants but needed one with a certain ease-of-reference. So far, this one appears well organized!

Raymond Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft -- To be clear, I'm not Wiccan and don't plan to join any labeled or grouped spiritual endeavor any time soon. However I do study all religions and studies of practice that I can, to be an informed human and keep my references clean. I didn't choose this book for the Wiccan study, but rather for some specific resources found inside. I'll be sharing more soon. 🌙

Medicinal Plants of the Heartland by Connie Kaye & Neil Billington

In my effort to expand my knowledge on foraging, plant medicine, and plant magick, I was seeking a local focal book for my current location. I opened it to a page covering plants that are in my natural garden, and I said yep -- this one is perfect. I can't wait to learn more.

Crystals for Healing by Karen Frazier. Again, I have other references on crystals. But this one is organized I two ways, first by energy/intention/need and then alphabetical by stone. I like the brief, quick-ref page structure, too.

Awakening -- Conversations with the Master by Anthony deMello.

I have been seeking a daily meditation or thinking prompt book that is short and accessible each day. This one fulfills that, while building on itself day after day. I was enticed.

Oh no worries. I can honestly guarantee it was not sent in a response to you. There are multiple days between posts being sent in and when they are published. And if it's a topic that's come up recently, people generally want to share their own opinions about it. There's no way anyone can know it's the same anonymous person. Nobody is following you around or waiting for your next confession just to trash it. Definitely a random coincidence.

Worst Guard Duty Ever 🌙

A scenario during the training camp days when Eren was put on a guarding mission for the first time.

(this fic sounded a lot more funnier in my head. Be warned)

The year 848, in the heat of the summer, is when one of Eren Jaeger’s worst nights ever occurred.

(Well, outside of any day involving titans that is)

What happened was that Commandant Shadis set a task for all members of the 104th cadets to split into individual groups, travel through the nearby mountains and survive for four days and nights through teamwork and the little equipment/supplies they were given. Seems to be a challenge, but it was expecting with him as their strict instructor.

A day after the instructions were stated, each group were tasked to travel to individual locations around the mountains. One of them included Eren and Armin together and were relieved with that result; the others included Jean, Marco, Connie, Reiner and Bertholdt.

With seven boys who hang out super often in and out of training, you’d think they got along well at that point. Well… aside from two of them still butting heads with one another, they really had. They trusted Armin and Marco to give good strategic advice, Connie relied on Reiner with coming obstacles, and Marco asked Jean for some aid on setting up their camp - and all of this will come back into play during their first night.

“Ughhh, my legs are killing me. Can we take a break?” Connie complained for the tenth time, dragging his bag along the ground.

“All of us are aching, Connie. Yet you don’t see us bellyaching.” Jean answered back.

The boys were attempting to climb up a steep hill for the past few minutes and they usually could make it up there in seconds, but since they were travelling all day, their legs could only take so much. The smaller blonde boy looked up between the gaps of the trees, letting the glimpse of the setting sun shine onto his eyes, that’s when he made the conclusion.

“Actually, I think Connie may be right.” Armin huffed between words. “Once we get to the top we can set our camp.”

“Good idea… if we can actually make it up with no delays.” Eren replied harshly, staring down at Connie.

“Hey. I’m trying, man.”

After some extra minutes of huffing and stumbling, they managed to finally reach the top of the hill. Luckily, it was mainly a flat area up there, so it played to their advantage of needing to sleep for the night.

As instructed, each of them provided something to set up their camp - Eren and Connie scavenged for some firewood, Jean attempted to show off that he knows how to put up a tent but defeatedly relied on Marco to help, and Armin aided Reiner and Bertholdt with food and their sleeping bags.

Not long afterwards did the full moon shine above the forest, some stars were noticeable and the cool night breeze flurried through the boys’ hair. Their stomachs were half-full with minimum of the supplies they brought, needing to save some for the next three days, and brief chatter which obviously turned into a brawl between two in particular. Luckily it was broken up once the time to cool off for the night had arrived.

Eren pouted as the others were preparing their sleeping bags inside and outside the tent; there was only room for six of them which means one of them had to stay up for guard duty of sorts.

��I vote for Eren.” Jean blurted out, pointing back at his unamused ‘rival’.

“Are you sure you’re not just saying that because you’re still mad at him?” Armin questioned.

“Of course not. I mean the suicidal maniac can barely sleep a wink at all with those so-called goals inside that head of his, so he’s perfect.”

“Now Jean, don’t be so-”

“It’s alright, Marco. I’ll do it.” Eren interrupted, turning his face towards the freckled boy.

“A-Are you sure? Will you be okay?” Bertholdt, who was quiet all day, wondered aloud.

“Positive. It’ll prove two things; I can defend all on my own and that I’m not just a ‘suicidal’ guy like someone claims me to be.”

“Heh. I’m pretty sure throwing yourself to the bears at night qualifies for that.” Jean smirked back.

“Oh go and snooze away with your boyfriend already! I’ve got work to do!”

“Sh-Shut up!”

“Alright, that’s enough.” Reiner finally stepped in between the two, hands out and everything. This was usually the best tactic to get them to stop bickering and it worked yet again. “Let’s call it a night and save this strength for situations that really matter, it’s what good soldiers do.”

All the boys quietly agreed with the big bro of the group (while Bertholdt glared) and they made their way inside the tent, leaving Eren by himself for the next few hours as stated. The brunet sighed, beginning to glance at his surroundings, then grinned at the thought of the job being easy-peasy for a super determined guy like him - or so it seemed.

The night grew darker, trees remained still, and the last light from the campfire sizzled away. The young brunet kept his guard pose up after what seemed to be hours; folded arms and everything. He could feel his eyelids pushing themselves to droop down but he refused, shaking his head around to keep himself from falling asleep, even though he really wanted to.

It’s not like he could fall asleep in a peaceful manner anyway, not with the heavy snoring that erupted from the tent behind him. So Eren continued staying on his guard like a good soldier should be… when all of a sudden…

*thud*

Eren jumped. Like physically jumped out of his seat. His eyes glance around rapidly, although he attempted to keep his cool, then the sound occurred again.

*thud*

“Wh-Who’s there?” He whispered sternly.

Nothing responded. Things seemed to have quiet down again, but Eren wasn’t having it. He hates to leave his best friend and comrades alone and unguarded but what if whatever made the noise were bandits or a wild predator? As a boy learning to be a scout, he had to strike the danger down himself (as he stated he could).

One step forward and there was no going back. Each step he took led him further down the forest, right where the sound was coming from. Of course he didn’t forget to take one of his swords from his gear just in case; now he is armed and ready. The more he moved, the quicker he picked up the pace, and that’s when he heard something.

*rustle* *rustle*

Eren swung his sword to the right in shock. Whatever could be stalking him and the campsite was right behind the bushes nearby. His instincts were telling him that it was most definitely not friendly, so he gathered his anger with furrowed eyebrows, ready to sprint with a single leap and shouted:

“HEY YOU!”

For a split second, he witnessed a shadowy figure upon the cliff side, it appeared tall, it had long hair and dark clothes blending in with the night. The oddest part is that he swore the figure had emerald eyes glimmering just like his… but how?

The anxious boy didn’t had long to consider it however, as what he didn’t realise was that below him was a steep cliff leading further down to a lower level. He slipped without notice and yelled. Rolling further down until he reached the bottom, there were some bruising but not enough to hurt.

Eren struggled to get back up, hitting his head on the lowest tree branch he ever saw, and glanced around once more.

‘Dammit.’ He thought to himself, grouching over the fact that he got himself lost. But luckily he got taught on how to track his way back in situations like this, or else he’d had to wait for Mikasa to come by and rescue him… again.

His instincts came back, telling him which path to take, and the left side seemed to be the way which the scent of burnt wood came from. Eren sprinted quickly as he could to reach back to the others before they realised he disappeared.

The miniature journey was rough though: he banged his head a couple of times on more branches, stumbled over some stones, and caught his face through some spider webs - very icky and it drove him nuts.

After like the third attempt to ruffle himself through some bushes, he made unintentional contact with some wild bugs, and were not pleasant. One second after contact, his face and arms began itching all over. Eren wouldn’t let that stop him though, he kept on going until the scent he picked up got much clearer. His hope rose and a faint smile presented that he can finally leave his hellhole he got himself in and pretend his whole mistake never happened.

But once again, out of nowhere, something mistakable happened. The forest was very dark so of course he wouldn’t notice strong mud right at his feet.

Eren checked if for sure that he was stuck; for sure. In such a dire situation like that one, he scowled in defeat and was left with his one last string of hope:

“CRAAAAAAPPP!!”

A new day had risen, and so did some new annoyances.

Roars of laughter could be heard from any part of the forest, and they were only coming from one arrogant teenager.

“Seriously, how much stupider can you get?” Jean croaked from laughing a bit much.

Eren Jaeger, who was extremely tired from the misfortune that was the night prior and covered in first aid and mud patches, irritatingly kept his composure together as to not make things worse. Well, also because of Armin pleading him to not do so.

Marco and Reiner tried to tell off Jean for being too loud and impulsive with no luck.

“Stop it, Jean.” The freckled one scolded. “Eren could’ve been seriously hurt and we would’ve had to call off our training exercise, and you know that’ll be hard to explain to the commandant.”

“Come on, he’s still in one piece, ain’t he? Besides, this proves my point that the bastard will always run in without even thinking. You know, like the scouts are said to do?”

That one sentence was more than enough for Eren to start throwing fists at him again, but being in an exhausted state is what stopped him. But that didn’t mean that he wouldn’t confess verbally.

“Shut it, horseface. Somebody was lurking in there, okay?”

The boys paused. They all stared at him in confusion.

“Um… lurking?” Connie questioned.

“What do you mean by that, Eren?” Armin asked in a concerned tone.

“I don’t know. There was someone within those woods but when I followed them in there, I saw them for a second and then… disappeared.”

Armin looked over at the rest who were equally as curious as he was. Upon wondering if it may be another bandit like the ones that almost took Christa away, Jean spoke up hiding the fact that he was feeling the same as them.

“Maybe… somebody lives up here and they were just finding their way home. But hey, I’m not one to argue with a guy who was half-asleep.”

“Hey! I know what I sa- agh!”

Eren’s hand immediately reached for the painful itch on his arm, but Armin physically grabbed him to stop him as scratching would just make it worse.

And so the rest of the day continued as planned. The young cadets carried out their training for three days straight until they all reunited back to the camp like everything was normal. But Eren couldn’t wrap his mind around that meaningless experience; both for needing to improve his interactions with nature, and who that figure in the dark could’ve been.

He may have forgotten about it after some time, but rarely that image would spring back from the back of his mind like it was something important.

…

An image that he would understand many years later.
