As much as I adore Gojo being a dad to Megumi there is something a little more heartbreaking when I see their relationship as:

“Older brother who tried their best to teach their sibling not to make the same mistakes but it wasn’t good enough.”

and

“Younger brother who took him for granted and didn’t appreciate them when they were still living underneath the same roof.”

“You could have done something.” - trope but instead of having the chance to save the world and choosing to be passive, it’s used in the context of romantic relationships.

Like, two people who so desperately want to be together but are held back by their own emotions therefore ruining their chance at happiness? Which ultimately leads to both parties quietly moving on (not really) however, they’re haunted by the ghosts of “What if’s?”

He is NOT a player. He is a goofy guy who eats lots of sweets to stimulate his mind, likes digimon, is only ever really serious around adults (kinda), because he believe that children should be allowed to be CHILDREN. He’s silly because his childhood was taken away from him. He was burdened with being the strongest when he should’ve been granted the grace to be weak. No matter his ability, however great, he was a KID.
