History of Kingdom × Storyteller

History of Kingdom had comprised of so many amazing origin stories of each member's characters. I decided to incorporate all 8 parts of the History of Kingdom series, and mashing it up into a Storyteller-styled poster!

It shows how the lore of the whole series can be seamlessly adapted into the cartoon style of the Storyteller game! There are certain details inserted here and there so do take a good look into them 🧐

Portrait Version Lover's Eyes

There is a lot of 18th Century Inspiration in History of Kingdom: Part V. Louis, specifically in the Portrait version of the album. The detail that I love the most are the pages that feature lover’s eyes.

Lover’s eyes were a late 18th century/early 19th century fashion accessory depicting the eye of a loved one. These were often sentimental pieces, with the eyes being that of a spouse, child, or other loved one. They were miniature portraits painted in watercolor on ivory and placed in jewelry, such as a brooch or a pendant or a ring.

The story behind these pieces is that supposedly George IV wished to send a token of his love to the widow Maria Fitzherbert, but the court was none too happy about the idea of him sending something so romantic to her. To get around this, he commissioned a miniatures artist to paint only the eye. Thus, birthed this trend. Supposedly. Whether it’s true or not, it doesn’t really matter as it started what would be a popular trend for many years.

Imagine my shock when I opened up my Portrait version album and saw these little images of eyes on the pages! I mentioned it on Twitter and no one seemed to know what I was talking about, so I was alone in my knowledge. Seeing these images was proof that a lot of research had been done to make sure the album had plenty of history accuracy while still maintaining the fantasy concept.

The detail of adding lover's eyes into the album even inspired me to attempt making one myself! I may have gone a bit hardcore, but it was fun! I really hope Kingdom continues adding such cool historical details into their albums, because it was so fun discovering this inside the album.

루이 중성화 수술을 하러 동물 병원에 왔다.

집안 곳곳에 영역 표시를 하는 것은

아내와 나뿐이라 그냥 넘어 갔으나

딸과 아들이 놀러 오면 입질을 해서

결국은 아들, 딸과 ,집사람,의사 선생님의 의견을 종합하여

중성화 수술을 하기로 결정했다.

내가 수술하는게 아니라고 너무 쉽게 중성화 결정을 하는

것이 아닌가 하는 생각이 든다.

어쩜 내 인생도 루이의 경우처럼,이해 당사자가 아닌 제3자의

이해에 의해 나의 행로가 바뀔수도 있다 생각하니 마음이 편치않다.아무쪼록 루이의 수술이 잘되어서 남은 견생 우리와 행복하게 잘 살았으면 좋겠다.
