8月3日、科学館の近くで公演があり、その前の時間調整で、やってきました。

プラネタリウムが話題の科学館の外観。中央の球体が目を惹きます。

展示の電車は、名古屋の市電、懐かしい！南極観測用の雪上車もあった。

噴水は近くに行ってミスト浴びてきました。

A dinosaur tooth of a Marshosaurus bicentesimus from the Brushy Basin Member, Morrison Formation in Dinosaur, Moffat County, Colorado, United States. Marshosaurus is a lesser known megalosauroid or piatnitzkysaurid of the Upper Jurassic often overshadowed by its famous contemporaries like Torvosaurus, Allosaurus, and Ceratosaurus. The blade-like teeth of these obscure theropods can be distinguished from the similar morphology of Allosaurus by its finer serration density and a DSDI greater than 1.15. These teeth have a similar condition to those of megalosaurids in which the mesial carinae does not extend to the base and stop around 2/3rds the way down.

頭のいい人だけが知っている「教え方」すごいのコツ 頭のいい「育て方」のコツ ■一度に一つだけ教える 　・人間は一度に2つのことをやろうとすると混乱する 　・練習道具も一つに絞る ■同じことを何度も言う 　・同じことを三度繰り返して言わないと学習者には通じない ■セクションの区切りをハッキリさせる 　・学習セクションは明確に区切らなければならない 　・セクションの終わりに「まとめ」を入れる ■「問いかけ」で記憶を引っ張り出させる 　・本当に覚えるためには、覚えたことを使ってみる 　・「出題してもらって、答える」という経験が有効 ■空白地帯で「疑問」を引き出す 　・配布資料には適度に「空白部分」を入れる 　・「空白部分はなんだろう？」という疑問を持つようになる 　・疑問があると人はよく学習をするようになる ■情報を構造化する 　・構造化のカギは「順番を考える」こと 　・合理性のある順番の切り口は何かを考える ■ストーリーを組み立てる 　・人はストーリーがあると情報をよく記憶する 　・ストーリーができるように話の順番を組み立てる ■意味を思い出しやすい名前をつける 　・ネーミングが悪いと、名前とその意味との関連付けに時間がかかってしまう ■対比をよく見せる 　・対比して境界線を作れば、そこに意識が集中できる 　・対比させるには、違いが一点に集中できるように配慮する ■安心感を演出する 　・勉強中の学習者は不安なもの 　・気楽な空間を作り出して、「恥をかく不安」を取り除く

We always hear little chirping noises coming from the roof, but we rarely get to see which type(s) of geckos we have hiding up there....

A mosasaur jaw of a Tethysaurus nopcsai from the Akrabou Formation in Asfla, Goulmima, Errachidia, Morocco. While most Moroccan mosasaurs are from Maastrichtian deposits, Tethysaurus is a lesser known genus from the much older Turonian age.
