清晨的滋味清爽

名為「清晨」的時段，其實一下子就過了。

從一片霧茫到清明，大概也就20分鐘的時間。如果沈不住氣，掏出手機來滑或提起筆來塗塗抹抹，那麼，這20分鐘會走得比你想像的更快。

而寂靜，或許會比光線再持久一點，錯過了一瞬即逝的魔幻時刻，我們還可以把握勤勞的鳥鳴、枝葉與風親密地摩挲、孜孜不倦的毛蟲進食音⋯⋯細細的微響，綿密地堆疊，堪比各種ASMR。沒有料理過的血桐葉子，青草味極重，但青黃枯葉蛾的幼蟲可是對它讚不絕「口」。雖然毛蟲們不唸美術系，卻總是把葉子啃得滑順又美麗。牠們的美感渾然天成，大自然教得真是棒極了。

沒被啃食的葉子，盡責地呼吸——張開又收合，閃爍著凌晨與黃昏特有的曖曖光芒。

現在，我也跟著深深地呼吸起來，彷彿此刻是我的第一口氣。

correction, hey yall know about that thing I was talking about that's a pretty difficult task regarding machine translation? or rather an important factor in translation in general? well, I've been patched on some context I was missing.

翻译腔 "translation accent" is a term that has usage prior to the foreign guest migration to RedNote小红书, describing media translated *into* Chinese having an unnatural quality about the translations. In my own foray into the platform, I read some Chinese comments and didn't realize the context was in more jokey in nature, [paraphrased] "excellent use of translation accent", "it seems like you too have the translation accent" etc, projected and extrapolated a bit -- I have noticed both anglophone and sinophone RedNote小红书 users alter their linguistic habits particularly in interactions across the aisle like in #对账 #comparing notes, although not everyone has those considerations. I've seen quite a few of those "transmission" failures, more from the English side, often the question posed had pretty ambiguous wording, unsure if they're trying to farm interactions and attention.

I'm not sure if it would be able to remove "translation accent" entirely from machine translation, or rather, the intentional type that emerges from human interactions filtered through machine translation. Certain levels of unnaturalness are undesirable, of course there are sociolinguistic motivations for wanting to present as more fluent or native, but even so, to me it's interesting and kind of endearing to use it intentionally. Projecting a bit, because that's the world I want to live in, where more people would Care about understanding and being understood. Anyway, with how technology is developing, I am optimistic for the degree of unnaturalness to become reduced as machine translation improves.

shout out to machine learning tech (and all the human-input adjustment contributors) that's brought about the present developmental stage of machine translation, making the current global village 地球村 moment on rednote小红书 accessible in a way that would not have been possible years ago.
