The manufacturing costs ended up totaling to 200 million geso, leading some to call it “a huge waste of money.”

An Octoling maiden who finds happiness in constantly being swept up by the behavior of the ever free-spirited Pearl. All the while progressing with musical composition for the new frontier that is Damp Socks feat. Off the Hook, she is capable of also managing other affairs in tandem with complete perfection. These include coordinating the overall direction of the world tour, booking the venues, development of ticket sales systems, and lunch box preparation.

I'm probably crazy when I ask this but wasn't there an interview question about what Harmony does now since she's 'running' the shop and the answer was that the band is still together and the shop is more of a side thing for her?

If that's true the why does it say over on the NoA Twitter (band art preview tweet) that there was drama before and the band is back together now? Was there something implied in the Japanese version of that situation or is it a translationism of NoA fame? Or for the secret third thing, an interview not yet released that explains it vaguely.

シノダ：シューゲイザー���ついてですか？ Shinoda: Are you asking me about shoegazers?

ゆーまお：やったじゃん、そんなこと喋れる機会ないでしょ（笑）。 Yumao: I’m so happy for you, you never get the chance to talk about this (laughs).

シノダ：ここで語るのか（笑）。なんでしょうね？ もともとは暴力的なオルタナティヴの派生だと思うので、THE JESUS AND MARY CHAINから始まった違った角度のパンク・サウンドのアティチュードからいろいろ変化を経てMY BLOODY VALENTINEに行き着いたような感じだから、マイブラ（MY BLOODY VALENTINE）そのものをやっても仕方ないというか。そこの1歩手前にある刺々しさとか陰鬱さみたいな、そういうマインドですかね（笑）。 Shinoda: Here of all places (laughs). I wonder. I think it originally derived from the more aggressive subgenre of alternative. So like it started with The Jesus and Mary Chain, then people started taking different angles and attitudes on punk music, undergoing change until we got to My Bloody Valentine. So maybe it’s only natural for me to emulate MyBlo a bit. In my mind I lean towards that sharp, gloomy style I guess, but I stay just an inch away from leaning too far in (laugh).

シノダ：そうなんですよね。あれはKevinさんしかやろうとしないことなんで（笑）。だからあれがいいというか。 Shinoda: Exactly. That’s something only Kevin-san can do (laughs). That’s why I’ll hold on that.

－シノダさんにとってシューゲイザー・サウンドの魅力は一種の暴力性なんですか？ To you, is one of the appeals of the shoegaze genre the aspect of aggressiveness?

シノダ：だと思いますね。人間としてのチクッとした部分を表現したら、きれいなものとして出力されたみたいな。 Shinoda: I think so. It’s like, they’re expressing that part of us as humans that’s daggerlike and feisty, yet it comes out as something wonderful.

いつものように近江町で友達とお昼ご飯して、ひがし茶屋街へ行くと尋常じゃないくらい観光客がいてまったく前に進まないので離脱。

水曜日に富山のローソンで、おにぎりポーク玉子というのを買ってたべたのですが、考えたら１か月ぶりの米だなと。

ひがし茶屋街は毎年のことですが、秋の観光シーズン前に所々で工事をしておりました。

ひゃくまん焼きを買うのを忘れたとか思いながら浅野川沿いを歩くと、柔らかな風が吹いて気化熱効果でちょぴり涼しい。

そのまま歩いて茶屋街から結構近くにある自動車屋で愛車の車検の打ち合わせ。

事務のおばちゃんから金沢一高級な加賀の冷たい番茶（ほうじ茶）を頂きました。

昨日土曜日は、いしかわ四校記念公園���毎年恒例の「金沢ジャズストリート」を見てきました。

駅の近くの東別院とか、尾山神社とか至る所でやってます。

バンド名は忘れましたがむちゃくちゃ演奏の上手いジャズファンク系のグループが「Starsky and Hutchのテーマ」を演奏してくれていてニンマリ。

しかし、尋常じゃないくらい暑くて３バンドだけ見て帰宅。

散歩とか歩いて行動するのはいろんな発見があって楽しい。

帰宅途中、街中なのに物凄く安く地物野菜を売っている八百屋さんを発見したので友達に教えてあげようと思います。

B'zについては音楽性よりオーケンが言った「『ユニット』という大発明をした人たち」かな。ボーカルとギターだけで、あとのメンバーは借りてくればいい。バンドの維持費人間関係などの悩みから解放されてるという。ヒザを打ちました。

ボストンを拠点とする実験的なロックバンド。私が彼らを見つけたのはyoutubeだったと思う、「I hate shoegaze 」という曲のMusicVideoが突然流れてきて街を駆け抜け、小さなスタジオで演奏する1分半もない映像が私に刺さった..................

インタビューを探してみるとZINEの中でJimratは約10人で構成されたバンド兼アートコレクティブだと書かれている。

“The collective of Jimrat consists of vocalist and songwriter Sam, drummer Tim, bassist E guitarist/vocalist/synthesist Emma, guitarist/vocalist Josie, guitarist Jacob, electronic music producer Fern, artist and performed Lauren, photographer/performer/painter Stephen, and graphic designer/creative director Hector.”

バンドメンバーの他にフォトグラファーやグラフィックデザイナーやクリエイティブデザイナー、パフォーマー、なども含まれている。

彼らのスタイルは、ノイズロック、シューゲイズ、インディーロック、エレクトロニックな要素を融合していて、DIY精神に溢れたジャンルの境界を越えるアプローチ。アンビエント的なものも取り込まれていて10月のリリースされたシングルのカップリング曲「Again」「Give in」　は10分以上にも及ぶアンビエント楽曲となっている。

本当にこれがかっこよくて好き。

バンドはWHO IS RECORDSというレーベルに所属し、これま��に複数のアルバムやシングルをリリース、彼らの作品には、ノスタルジックなインターネット美学が取り入れられていて、彼らのウェブサイトが特にそれを感じる。

深い感情表現と実験的な音作り、シューゲイズ的な要素と大胆な電子音楽の組み合わせがかっこいい。ビジュアルやアートの面でも作り込まれた世界観が本当にかっこいい、、どんなプロジェクトでどんなことを表現しているかはYouTubeや彼らのウェブサイトをチェックするのが1番理解できると思う。

インタビューの中で「全てのメンバーがプロジェクトに積極的に参加し、グループの決定に平等に発言権がある。」と書いてあったのも印象的��った。

遠く離れた行ったこともない知らない場所でこんなかっこいいことをしている人たちがいることになんか勝手に救われた。

And once we got into that zone, we started mass producing songs that utilized sequencers and loop samples. シノダ：これまでの彼の曲のデモは絶対自分で叩いたドラムが入ってて、彼のドラムありきみたい��デモだったので、バンド・サウンドが多かったんですよ。（今回は）全然そうじゃない。逆にリズム・トラックだけで10トラックぐらい入ってるみたいな（笑）。 Shinoda: Up until then Yumao’s drafts have always involved him playing the drums himself, and due to his drum playing being so prominent, his songs have always sounded rock band-esque. However, this time things were different. This time around our album has around 10 tracks that are just backing tracks (laughs). ゆーまお：リズム・トラックのことだけはなんとなく分かるからそうなっちゃってるだけなんですけど、そんな感じでシノダの反応も一番良かったのでこれになりました。あとはだいたいの歌詞を書いたのが一番の変化ですかね。 Yumao: Somehow backing tracks are like my bread and butter, so it just kind of ended up that way. Not to mention that Shinoda reacts the best to them. The overall biggest change though was that I wrote most of the lyrics myself this time around. シノダ：ついにゆーまお君が歌詞を書くことになりました。好きになったんだよね。もともと好きっていうのもあるけど。 Shinoda: At long last has Yumao done a deep-dive into lyric writing. He came to really enjoy doing it. I mean, he’s always enjoyed it but… ゆーまお：そうそう。好きだったっていうのもあるけど、自分がたまたま書いてた歌詞をちゃんと作品として残してみたいと思ったのが一番強いかもしれないですね。楽曲どうこうというより、そこにチャレンジしたいっていうのはありました。 Yumao: Yep yep. The fact that I enjoy writing lyrics was one part of the formula, but the most important thing to me was my desire to turn the words I once wrote willy-nilly into something proper. The musical accompaniment wasn’t my top priority, I was more fussy with the lyrics, because that was the challenge I was most interested in taking. －たしかにゆーまおさんの楽曲はアルバムの中で、音像としてはフックになってますね。それでもダークさはある気がして。今回は曲が集まって、結果的にオルタナティヴ色が濃くなったんでしょうか。 It’s true that Yumao’s songs, in terms of pure musical imagery, tend to be “the hooks” of your albums. Yet they do also have a tinge of darkness to them. So, once you put all of the songs together into an album, I feel like the result of the whole is a heavily alternative-colored piece. シノダ：どうしても根底にある好きなものが滲み出てしまうもんで、そこの蛇口がちょっとバカになってきたみたいな感じだと思うんですけど。昔3人でやり始めた頃はとにかく迷いながら、"本当にこれでいいんだろうか？"、"正しいんだろうか？"みたいな、分かるわけないようなことに対して悩みながら作ってたけど、だんだん"そうじゃないな"、"別にもっと好きなものを作ったっていいんじゃないの？"と。それで作っていったら単純にオルタナが好きで、それがバレてしま��たみたいなことなんじゃないかなと思いますね（笑）。 Shinoda: My core interests just tend to seep out no matter what I do, and at this point I think my faucet is fucked. Back when we first started operating as a 3 man unit, I was constantly under stress when writing, worrying about things that had no answers. I was just constantly doubting myself, thinking “Are you really sure this okay?” and “Is this the right thing to do?” Slowly but surely I came to realize that there was no need to worry, and let my creative juices run free. Once I did that, I think it became pretty obvious that I just, love alternative music (laughs).
