I drew The Rutles while thinking, "Am I the only person in the world drawing The Rutles at this very moment?" The Rutles was a parody band of The Beatles that was born from a British BBC TV comedy show.

今この瞬間、世界でThe Rutlesを描いているのは僕だけではないか？と思いながらThe Rutlesを描いてみた。The RutleはイギリスBBCのTVコメディ番組から生まれたThe Beatlesのパロディ・バンドだった。メンバーのニール・イネス（イラスト右下）の音楽センスが抜群でThe Beatlesのジョン&ポールのようなルート音を下げながら進行していく曲作りができるとともに歌えばジョンの歌唱そっくりなのである。楽曲の多くが完全にお笑いの域を脱していたため彼らの曲の一部がThe Beatlesの海賊盤に収録されてしまうという事件が起こってしまう。 閑話休題。世界中にThe Beatlesのフォロワーが存在するけどもパロディ・バンドとはいえThe Rutlesはそのトップ・クラスなのではないかと思っている。 https://www.instagram.com/toru_fukuda/p/DGaqSXHzvwK/

I drew this illustration because I remembered that Van Halen used to say that he liked the guitar riff of Burn by Deep Purple. There is no particular meaning to it.

I was so fascinated by Marty and Doc from Back to the Future that I tried drawing them.The first one is excellent after all. All three are about plot twists and their resolution, but the first one is very carefully made, from direction, editing, characters, to props. 夢中で描くBack to the Futureのマーティーとドク。国内では新規吹き替え版がTVでオンエアされてそれなりに話題。僕も見たけどいい感じ。やはり1作目は秀逸だね。3作通して伏線とその回収の物語なんだけど1作目は��出、編集、登場人物、小道具に至るまですごく丁寧に作られている。ビクターのハンディカムやトヨタの4WDが当時の優秀な工業製品として登場する反面、アメリカのダメ車の象徴としてデロリアンが採用されているあたりよく考えているなと思う。いつも3作通して思うのは「ドラえもん」のことである。両作タイムトラベルを扱う物語で過去の出来事に影響を与えたせいで未来がパラレルに分岐していく様は全く同じだ。僕はBack to the Futureを見るたびにフニャ子フニャ夫先生のことを思い出す。 https://www.instagram.com/toru_fukuda/p/DGDMK-AxDDm/

I was engrossed in drawing The Beatles' A Hard Day's Night. The film was a groundbreaking production at the time, with the members themselves documenting themselves, and was the origin of idol films that were imitated by idols both in Japan and abroad.

I drew this engrossing picture of Queen’s THE WORKS. It’s an album that is disliked by fans who like their early HR and HM style. I like it, though.

夢中で描いてみたQueenのTHE WORKS。初期のHR・HM路線が好きなファンからは毛嫌いされるアルバム。ブライアン・メイの鼻詰まりギター音はそのまんまだし僕は好きだけどね。The Gameからレコーディングにシンセサイザーは絶対使わないと公言していたのをあっさり撤回したり、フレディが短髪になってからポップな楽曲が増えたりね。活動の長いバンドだからそりゃ色々あるよ。関係ないけどフレディは出っ歯です。 https://www.instagram.com/toru_fukuda/p/DFkyDvFzX8J/
