[Kyle’s side]

Kenny was excited for the sleepover she and Kyle were going to have a few days ago, if only Kyle didn't ruin it by talking about the future.

Sure, maybe it was her own fault for avoiding the topic but as much as she  told herself that Kyle was going to leave with or without her, she felt like she won't ever be ready to leave the town for the rest of her life.

The fact that she has Cthulhu living behind her head like she was Eddie Brock who prevented her from truly dying might also have a hand in her decision to stay.

Which was why when Kyle turned up missing for the past few days, she didn't expect /it/ to have a lead to his whereabouts.

That is as long as Kenny could get out of the realm that was between the living world and wherever Kyle was. All of the denizens seem to avoid her and Cthulhu, who seems to have a corporeal form in this place.

Surprisingly more humanoid, Cthulhu explains that Kenny lacks the powers she had back on the surface where she once lived and needed to be ready to give her whole being in order to bring Kyle back.

All except for one person who suspiciously looked like Kyle - though he looked like nothing he would wear outside of Halloween (and Kenny made sure that the day was nowhere close to October)

She knew that he had something to say when he asked her to follow him, but Cthulhu kept leading her into the opposite direction of where he went.

With talk about the looming dam over the town threatening to break, she was sure that she had to choose one in order to find the person she cared a lot.

AU is based on Eve’s songs that were animated by Waboku and I’m totally getting this out because of that new MV he just released. Kyle’s design was borrowed from @townycod13‘s Colide AU, thank you I had fun with it!!
