Hot soba

Hot soba topped with green onions and shrimp tempura. Sprinkled on the tempura is shichimi tōgarashi, a mix of (typically) seven spices which usually include sesame seeds, yuzu or orange peel, tōgarashi pepper, nori, poppy seeds and more! It's pretty tasty, and I like putting it on pretty much anything I want to have a little kick of spice!

I am on a cooking spree this week! It's been a while since I cooked my heart out again. How ramentic!

Been craving Japanese food lately (might be because Demon Slayer have new episodes now and because I got my complete DS Funko set) so I made a simple miso ramen from scratch for lunch today. The preparation was no joke but I'm not even souprised how good it turned out. I even marinated the eggs for a couple of hours before putting it altogether. I used chicken thigh fillets for the protein and pan-fried it in replacement of chashu.

Spare me because I love me some good puns and I'm having quite a laugh while writing this up. Felt inspired by Kian and his knife skills so I thought to give it a try as well. Miso happy!
