“That’s really great for you though isn’t it?” Tim asked them. He really thought he was starting to have feelings for them, he always enjoyed their talks, they were always close but never touching and the tension between them everyone could read. Including a person who was more than aggressively trying to get Tim’s attention, so much so that they rushed over and sat on his lap. Tim, being as kind as he was, chuckled awkwardly. “Oh, hi.”

Aaron pulled the door open with a charming smile on his lips just for Elaine to fake a gasp and tease them. E rolled her eyes but couldn't fight her smile. It was impossible not to love Aunt Elaine, despite the heavy cheese. Both twins stepped forward and hugged their aunt, each taking a side.

"Hey," Aaron grinned at Lachlan with a small nod while still wrapped up in his aunt's arms. E hummed and patted Elaine's back, "Oh," she sighed as Elaine tugged them both in tighter.

"Elaine don't squeeze too tight they might zap you," Tim teased which made E chuckle.

Once Elaine let them go Tim moved in for smaller hugs once they were all inside. Natalie and Azula had turned the corner and Natalie beamed when she saw all of them. She nearly skipped a step and tugged Elaine into a deep hug, "Hey honey," she sighed softly only letting Elaine go to scoop Lachlan into a hug next. "Oh gods, you're getting taller, stop," she sighed and turned to see Tim giving Azula a small hug. "It's your dad's fault."

Azula pressed a kiss against Natalie's temple, then smoothed a hand against the small of her wife's back. Her shadows dispersed save for one, which braided around Natalie's wrist like a bracelet, allowing Azula to caress Natalie, reassure her, even if she stepped away.

Zu smiled at the twins--one of her rare smiles that radiated warmth and love.

"Where are my badass wonder twins?" Elaine said from behind the door. She'd gotten more confident with time and never hesitated to infuse that confidence into the twins by hyping them up. The moment the door opened, Elaine reeled back in mock shock. "No way. You two can't be my niece and nephew. Are those muscles?" She looked to Tim in disbelief, then smiled. "Come here," she said, opening her arms for a hug.

Lachlan leaned forward to peer through the doorway, smiling when Aaron and E were in his mom's arms, which made it easier to see their faces.
