silly headcanons about Winx characters’ home planets (part 1)

Linpheans rarely say, “I love you”. to them, it does not encapsulate the depth of their devotion properly.

instead, they use words that are much more… “poetic.”

for example, Bloom would casually thank Flora for helping her apply a salve to a burn of hers:

”thanks, Flo, love ya!”

and Flora would earnestly reply:

“My soul, I would part with my liver sooner than I would part with you.”

which… intense for us, Eartherns, but for Linpheans — love is not something to be treated casually.

among Linphean vernacular: “my soul”, referring to any one person you love; “my liver”, when referring to a friend you cannot live without; “my sun/moon/flower”; “my pillar”. also, when talking about a couple: “those, who were fated by the stars”.

(fun fact, all of these are real terms of endearment I took from my language <3)

she is very openly affectionate with her girls, but it takes her a bit of time to start acting similarly with the boys.

Helia and Timmy are decently well-travelled/well-learnt, so they know of this Linphean custom and are not surprised. Nabu absolutely returns the same energy to her.

Brandon just kinda takes it at face value (“you are my lifetime, friend” “👍”).

but Sky and Riven are absolutely bamboozled by how sweet Flora is, and try to awkwardly reciprocate.

like, Flora patches Riven up after a battle, and pats him on a back with:

“let the rivers of our lives cross together into an ocean forevermore, my golden friend.”

and Riven looks more scared than he ever was fighting goddamn Valtor, and whispers:

“you smell very nice?..”

Riven is obviously uncomfortable being as vulnerable and affectionate as she, so he resorts to using sweet nicknames (a-la “dove”, “love”, “sunshine”) and giving Flora compliments.

Sky is also unused to this level of affection, so whenever he is forced deal with it — he just malfunctions. literally dissociates. cannot reply for a solid twenty minutes.

He does think it’s very sweet though, so he starts taking care of Flora like a little sister. making sure she always has a little snack on a mission, giving her his jacket when it’s cold out, importing rare flowers for her, etc.

after a couple of years together, the winx and the specialists adopt this way of expressing endearment into their vernacular, and confuse the shit out of everybody else.

I'm so pissed that the sirenix design didn't include more references (or any at all for that matter) to ocean creatures. Give Stella bioluminescence???? (I love sea stars, but be fucking for real, this is so much cooler). Whale inspired musa! Deep sea life is not only incredibly varied but very interesting, and it looks cool. Coral. Reef. Flora. Do I need to say more? Tecna could be inspired by electric eels, or electric rays, or stargazers!

Great, now I need to draw Stella with a little antenna on her forehead like an anglerfish. (Not what I had in mind, but funny anyways)

The action was good, the romance was sweet, and the fun episodes were great I think this season is where winx is at their best writing tho I understand why s 3 is the most loved ~ enchantix is the most iconic form)

In celebration of Winx Club's 20th anniversary, a new look into the series' original pilot designs, back when the show was still titled Magic Bloom, was revealed! Yes, the green-haired fairy was Musa.

Since nobody asked for it, here are my older Winx HCS :

Bloom : she and Sky divorced, but while he's sad and angsty in his castle, she's living her best life as the guardian fairy of Domino (and the whole universe). She spends a lot of time with Daphne, the new queen of the kingdom, and love to spend time with her niece.

Stella : the queen of Solaria. Still married with Brandon, they have 4 daughters and 1 son. She's also a guardian fairy and has a side career as fashion designer (she designs all her outfits). She also improved Solaria's politics for people in poverty and the lower classes, going against the will of her rich entourage (they're haters).

Layla : queen of Andros and happily married with Nabu. Guardian fairy, she improved the capacities of her kingdom's army and the relations with the crown of the Seas of Andros. Has a son (bc the crown needed an heir), she tries to teach him how to be a decent ruler despite him being in his teenage rebellion phase.

Musa : broke up with Riven, they're now in a healthy friendship. It allowed her to spend more time with her father, they're now way closer. Guardian fairy, singer, musician and producer on Melody, she doesn't have anybody in her life even if she wouldn't be against finding somebody.

Flora : guardian fairy, she travels all around the universe to help people in the need (with Helia ofc). She's very popular and has a lot of connexions bc of it (she has her entries in almost every government). Sometimes, she comes back to Alfea to teach some things to new students.

Tecna : not only she's the guardian fairy of Zenith, she also launched her own business in magical technologies. She's engineer, CEO and the face of her enterprise (Timmy works with her (they're married) but he prefers staying in the back), she's overbooked, but it doesn't stop her from helping her friends as soon as they ask.

first of all i loved lambofzenith posts about riven and tecna, unfortunately they arent available anymore. still, I love them together, they give off such siblings vibes. lets be real riven needs someone with a similar personality, especially a person that has the same social struggles and same issues with their teams' leaders.

stella x timmy friendship is not that uncommon honestly and im pretty happy about it, i have even watched some tiktoks so the fandom knows about them. i mean they never actually interact in the series (only in s3 on 15-16 eps) but i still think they would be a good match since she is very energetic and extrovert while he is shy and introvert (yk, just like stella and flora).

stella x sky and flora x brandon are pretty basic ik, fate even made stella and sky a couple (ew)... but i really think they can workout, especially flora and brandon's interactions are so cute, he would be such a good big brother. instead sky and stella give off "i hate you" siblings vibes and im here for that

HOW EVERYONE DIES

One day, of course, all of them will be just pages in the history book, and I am honestly wondering how they'll go. I am craving the bitter sweet cinematic montages to "I know the end" by Phoebe Bridgers. Now, I think Sky goes last. Even after Bloom. He really dies an old man, white hair, hell maybe even white eyes that no longer see the world around him, just the memories of it, of how he changed it, and of the friends and love he lost. After his death, he's given a kingly ceremony and a dragonlord's burial- aka his dragon burns the body, and after a few days, his granddaughter claims him. Stella is second to last, Brandon having been third, and it honestly broke something in her when he died. She barely moved from his crypt where the ashes are, and after a week Sky had to carry her out, telling her Brandon would not want her rotting under the ground for him, she needs to be outside where it is light, with sun shining down upon her. Stella was a ruling queen until then, but after months passed and she did not yet recover from her beloved husband's death (Brandon died of a heart attack) she abdicated in favor of her oldest daughter, Adorea, (credit for the name @cyliarys-starlight) because she no longer felt fit to rule. She removed herself from the title of The Queen and is merely Queen mother until she died ten years later, on the same day Brandon died. She died in her sleep, but honestly, many will say it was broken heart, that she was only holding on for her children, especially the young Queen that would still need her advice at times. Layla, I think, was fourth to last, and she died in battle. Idk which battle, something that should have been minor but someone managed a sneak attack. Nabu died minutes later, as he was no longer fighting but clutching her dead body, screaming for his wife to open her eyes, crying his heart out :) They were found on the battlefield, her in his arms, pierced by the same spear (since Nabu was holding her when he was speared through the back). (Still a better love story than twilight death than what season 4 gave him) They were, by human standards, in their early sixties and they were holding up GREAT, btw. You have no idea how hard I am working not to kill any of the winx in childbirth, btw- you're welcome. The only reason why I am not doing it is because the lifespan's in Winx are crazy old and who the fuck would still be having kids in their 1000s/2000s. Then we have Timmy, who in a riding accident just a few years before Nabu and Layla- he fell of a horse and broke his neck, dead on impact. Million ways to die in the west, people! He lived a great life, even managed to still find light in after Tecna's death. But he didn't die right after Tecna, no- I can't kill the couples all together. Before him, it was... Flora. No dramatics here, she just fell asleep and did not wake up. Which is much better than Musa, who, I want to be brutal, got throat cancer and refused treatment because she'd never be able to sing again. She died in her studio, with a half written song still on her desk. The instrumentals were all done, though, so the song still gets performed, the lyrics just cut off halfway through. No one finished it out of respect. I think... Ohhhhhh, the song was about coming home to Riven, who died first- their equivalent of forties. So the song is literally about her dying and reuniting with her husband. Because Riven died first, and Musa lived for centuries longer, she did date after him, but she did not marry again. She was single when she got her diagnosis though, and that's when she started wearing her wedding ring again. Her boyfriends were lovely and she did love them, in a way, it is just that Riven was always going to be the love of her life. Her friends understood that too, and had great sympathies for her for being left a widow so young.

I noticed winx club not having much socmed aus out here, so I decided to make one myself! I will try to be consistent with posting, but let's see :)

I will also talk about general winx club headcanons and reblog stuff (I'll tag those posts as #not an au post) I really want to interact more with the winx community on tumblr :)

⚠️ these are all my personal headcanons on what the lives of the winx and the specialists would be. Any haters would be blocked, these are all fictional characters at the end of the day.

⚠️ all the ships that will be portrayed here are canon ships. (Nabu doesn't die, so it's nabu and aisha instead of nex and aisha)

A small description of all the characters and what their jobs are in this AU:

Stella: she's the Princess/future queen of Solaria, she is also a fashion designer. Her very successful fashion brand is called Eclipse.

Bloom: she's an art and history nerd, and Princess of Domino. She sometimes gives guest lectures in Alfea about some of the history of the magic dimension.

Flora: she works full-time at the Alfea Greenhouse, and also helps preserve the flora and fauna of the world with various organizations. She especially focuses on bringing endangered species to the greenhouse to take care of them and make their environment habitable (the greenhouse is huge, its divided into sections to replicate different "biomes" and climatic conditions tailored to every species). Lives with Helia in Magix.

Musa: she's an music artist!!!!! She lives in Magix.

Tecna: She lives in Zenith, and is a freelance software developer.

Aisha: Princess/future queen of Andros. Conducts dance classes in the summer.

Brandon: the right-hand man and guard of Prince Sky, general of the Eraklyeon army. Future royal consort of Solaria.

Sky: King of Eraklyeon.

Helia: he's an aspiring artist, has sold a few of his works to galleries. Occasionally does some art workshops around Magix.

Riven: Mechanic for wind-riders, Owls, and also fixes/makes weapons in Red Fountain. He's kind of the best. Lives with Musa in Magix.

Timmy: Works in an electronics company in Magix. Lives in Magix too. (I don't see Tecna and Timmy living together even though they're dating, I feel they would prefer living alone and meeting up occasionally. They were always simple like that)

Nabu: Wizard and curse-breaker of Andros.

Other characters (will be updated in the future):

Thoren: Sky's cousin. They become pretty close after the s6 incident. Sky doesn't admit it, but he's come to love Thoren as a brother :) Daphne's husband. He is also the right-hand man of King Oritel and leads the Domino army.

Daphne: Nymph of Domino. She's a History teacher at Alfea. Thoren's wife :)

Roxy: Fairy of Animals. She's a student of Alfea. A good friend of the winx and the specialists.

You can't convince me that the boy who fiercely loves and fights for his world in Meridian, who is a HUMAN (whisperer/murmurer in comics) with NO SPECIAL POWERS, who taught himself and FOUGHT AND LED A REBELLION AGAINST TYRANNIC RULE for years after years, who expected nothing in return, the man who was so emotionally intelligent and quick witted, kind hearted to those lost and in need, who so truly believed and convinced Elyon that she was the true light of Meridian even though she herself thought she was born into evil being related to Phobos, the man who's fatal flaw is loyalty and duty, who again and again put his trust in people and chose to see the best of them,

yes THAT boy, ISN'T SOOOO MUCH BETTER than a bunch of private school boys with their fancy academy and weapons and nepotism crushing on the girls from their sister school.

I love when magic has an effect on the body & soul of its caster. like!! you don’t get to be a reality-bending demi-god and walk away with no strings attached. there’s always a price.

Bloom’s dragon fire consumes her from the inside, leaving lightning-like tissues of scars along her limbs - be careful, rumbles the Great Dragon from within, don’t let your emotions consume you. Bloom wails from the pain and clutches whoever is in the vicinity - but cannot fully stop it. just prevent it or treat the aftermath.

Musa gets migraines. Stella becomes ill when she doesn’t get her daily dose of sunshine. Aisha’s senses get muddy sometimes, almost as if she’s submerged underwater. Nabu experiences uncontrollable tremors in his arms, when he creates too many of his phantoms. all of those are - yes, horrible to experience but manageable enough for the school (and the Magic community at large) to tell them to just suck it up and weather through.

once you get your enchantix though, you start developing… unique abilities. almost like, in achieving the final fairy form, you became one with your brand of magic.

Bloom starts producing smoke. Like - she snorts at something funny Riven or Sky say, and literal puffs of smoke emerge from her nose. It’s jarring at first (“Bloom Peters, when did you start smoking? do you know that it kills??”) but quickly becomes endearing once they realise it’s not life-threatening in any way (after speed-running through like fifteen Magix apothecaries). Among her other ‘oddities’: too hot to cuddle with (only Stella can stand the high temperature, since she has a resistance to heat), becomes strangely overprotective and a little possessive, her eyes sometimes become a startling orange hue as if she’s embodied by the great dragon himself (it’s just a party trick).

Stella becomes more ethereal. In certain lights, her skin looks translucent - like a mirage weaved with moonlight. Her hair glints in the sun, almost too bright to like at; her touch feels phantom-like. She becomes even more beautiful, but less - human, earth-bound, Stella-esque. A curse and a blessing, that one.

Musa’s hearing gets really fucking good. She has a steadily growing dossier of blackmail on every student in Alfea - simply because shut doors or longer distances are no longer obstacles for her. It’s annoying too, because she can’t exactly turn it off - and now she gets to hear all the things people say about her, behind her. but here’s a consolation - she can influence other creature’s emotions through the melodies she hums! like how in canon, she pacified the bird Roc and brought mirth to the arguing fairies.

Flora gets much sturdier. Her skin harder than bark; her body able to withstand thirst and hunger for much longer than the rest. It’s honestly so intimidating. Here’s this sweet young woman — known to cry for trampled flowers and cut weeds!! — absolutely bodying a sharp ass ice shard that Icy attacked her with. It just — crumbles upon colliding with Flora’s body. insane and frankly so so hot for others to see.

As per the negatives… I like the idea of Flora being able to connect to the memories of nature around her and literally absorb the pain/fear/anguish of whatever she witnessed.

Aisha and Bloom are similar, in a sense that both of them are vessels to primordial divinities of their universe — Bloom is the holder of the Dragon Flame, and Aisha is the child of the Infinite Ocean. therefore, both experience a more extreme transformation than their girl friends. like, Aisha’s dreams are infiltrated by visions of past and future; memories of those who were lost to the Ocean. she dreams of Politea, of Tritanus, of her mer cousins and ancestors, and even those who were not yet born. if Aisha was not so mentally wilful, she might’ve folded under the weight of those prophesies.

Aisha can also breathe under water and her body gets the musculature it needs to be on par with her mer cousins while swimming, because why the fuck not?

Tecna - I frankly have no ideas for and would love to hear suggestions!

How the couples from Winx would enjoy their halloween party:

Bloom & Sky as princess and prince would enjoy their night with their friends and distribute some candy

Stella & Brandon as mermaid and pirate would crack jokes and be the light of the party (Stella would make Brandon carry her)

Flora & Helia as Mickey and Minnie, they would be the mom and the dad of the party 🤣

Tecna & Timmy as a zombie and a heroine on an apocalypse! They would choose the movie the group would eventually watch at the end of the party

Aisha & Nabu as a cute witch and a handsome wizard, they would dance most of the part

Musa & Riven as red riding hood and wolf! they would play instruments and sing during the party

at the end of the party they would decide to watch a horror movie how each couple would react:

Skloom: Would try to pay attention but would get distracted waiting for the scary parts and cover their faces and snuggling at each other

Brella: Stella would still be glued to Brandon, both would fall for the jumpscares but would laugh right after

Florelia: Would pay attention to the plot and discuss about it after with everyone

Tecmy: Would totally pay more attention to the special effects than anything else and would discuss about it between themselves and eventually laugh about their own cute nerdiness

Rivusa: Would wait for the other get scared and laugh at their reaction affectionately

Aisha and Nabu: Would be the ones who enjoyed the movie the most and Nabu would comfort Aisha each time he notices she got scared
