it had been some months since Tenko and Yui last spoke. In that time Yui had traveled to America, got a tan and came back refreshed. She was ported onto a case in which she cleared easily. Right now, she was in a bar with the other detectives celebrating their legal victory. Yui had called Tenko since she wanted to catch up with her but hadn't gotten a response. Yui's drink fizzles as the bartender slides it to her not realizing anything out of the ordinary yet after she took a few sips she was a bit woozy. Her vision doubled as she got up stumbling before a red-haired man helped her to her feet. Unfortunately for Yui she passed out right as he performed such a "kind" gesture. He volunteered to take her home so she could sleep off the drinks. The man slowly drags the detective out the door and into the cold night air.

Out of nowhere, Tenko got a message from Yui Samidare. It had been a while since she met with the detective, didn't mind meeting up with her. It had slipped Tenko's mind to respond as she made her way to the area where Yui had said she would be. Yet all the friendly greetings that Tenko had planned completely vanished from her mind when she saw the man dragging Yui behind her. Tenko didn't even say anything or think about her actions. The aikido master immediately rushed behind the man to smack his head with her fist.

Damn, I forget that Hana's respect towards omegas isn't just a courtesy thing, but also respect your capability and agency. No wonder she's so popular and such a loyal following. No wonder the deputy gives a cut of the earnings.

Meeting Hana is so fucking weird for omegas. She’s an alpha, a strong one! But she’s not an asshole? She’s not even possessive?? She never tries to intimidate anyone? (Hana is intimidating but she’s not like. Trying to be lol.) She asks her omega second in command for advice and then actually listens??

So yeah the strippers and workers at the bars are like ‘why the fuck is Hana in hell?’ And then Hana does something incredibly violent to a challenger, and then they go ooooohhhhh. Glad she’s on our side lol.

(They’re wrong btw. Hana lived a pretty average life as a human. The died and went to the void and then she somehow ended up in hell. She went to hell because she hasn’t got a soul and she reads as hellborn adjacent to the Hazbin universe.

This also means that Hana, unlike other sinners, can traverse all the rings of hell!)

Zenos: Post Return (EW and Onwards)

A battle he has sought and worked tirelessly to prepare for. A battle that is as explosive and exhausting as he has always desired. A battle he, indeed, emerges as the loser from, but no less satisfied. The Warrior of Light has defeated him yet again, and with his last breath, the crown prince could finally be at rest, once and for all, even if his body is to be left to rot at the edge of the world, forgotten.

... or not.

It's a punishment, he knows, and one he has certainly earned, but it makes it no less crushing to be traversing these lands once more. The Warrior of Light has already proven, time and time again, that he/she is STRONGER than Zenos, and having returned with but a fraction of his strength now, the prince no longer sees value in pursuing him/her. Worse so, all that he has done to match the Warrior of Light's strength, otherworldly or not, rebels against him, leaving him weakened and sick on occasion.

Headaches that feel as if his head is being split open. Inability to stand, to move. Nausea, a purge of whatever rests in his system, and if naught is there, sometimes blood. Forgetfulness, fever, body aches to a near agonizing extent... Zenos swears he suffer NOW more than he did prior, and he accepts it. He accepts it because he knows he DESERVES it, and not the sweet embrace of merciful death he'd thought he'd been gifted by his dearest friend. After all he has done, 'tis a wonder his suffering is not greater... but does he regret his actions? Nay. One should not assume him a changed man, for he still possesses a hauntingly non-existent level of care for both himself and those around him. Zenos Yae Galvus is a self aware monster through and through.

Yet, sometimes in the moments of his suffering, he wonders how it would feel to have someone care about him, when nobody has bothered to since he was but a child. He wonders if the Warrior of Light -- the only one he'd shared SOME type of connection with, despite its unconventional unhealthiness, thinks about him. Mayhap this rebirth has brought with it a glimmer of his humanity long lost to trauma and bloodthirst. A glimmer of a want for something he shan't ever have.

some stuff on reborn Eizen au bc essentially my thoughts are since pure hearted humans can be reborn as seraphs, seraogs can be reborn as humans and while that may seem like a jump in logic. I point to Symphonia having Mithos possess someone's body and say logic left the window ages ago in this franchise.

Eizen actually ended up being named Eizen again [mainly for writing sake] but he is the son of a normal family.

Since his memories of the past come in the shape of vivid dreams, he's just assumed he has an overactive imagination. Seraphim are highly respected, after all, so why would one ever be a pirate?

He does not believe his dreams to be of any truth even if there are a lot of things that properly allign and vivid imagery of places he's never been.

Eizen is still Eizen and has the same awful badluck, although not as deadly as the Reaper's Curse. Just he ends up in unfortunate situations all the time.

As Eizen is still Eizen you done know he is still a nerd. He loves ruins and learning. He's a super skilled cook and all that jazz.

While he doesn't look the same they are undoubtedly the same person bc that is what they are.

Is he happy with his life? A bit but there is always that gnawing feeling that something [Edna] is missing but he doesn't want to face that reality that his dreams are his past life because wouldn't that mean he abandoned her? Would she even want to see him again? She wouldn't believe it and he doesn't want to resurface if she has moved on. Also how much interest would that 100 gald have accumulated between another life? He's a human he can't pay that off and what if she has a serapg boyfriend? He can't fight a seraph in a human body!!

Yui Samidare was a complicated woman dealing with alot of things especially personal weakness. Everytime she fought she would lose and this was due in part to her not being able to really grasp how to fight. She decided to seek out someone who would teach her skills. Tenko seemed to be the right person for the job she was called the Ultimate Akido Master and if anyone could help the detective it was her. She pushes up her glasses and knocks on Tenko’s door. (Verse: Wandering Aikido girl)

Tenko Chabashira had not been expecting someone to knock on her door at this time of the day. She also hadn't been expecting the person on the other side, a girl with glasses that Tenko had never seen before. But the aikido master was friendly towards all girls, and so put on her best smile. "Hello there! My name is Tenko Chabashira, the Ultimate Aikido Master! Did you need anything?" Tenko was determined to make a good first impression.

It began a few weeks before his mother’s death.

Ichigo’s older cousin was visiting from Italy - Sawada Tsunayoshi. He smiled at Ichigo and snuck him really yummy chocolate behind Kaasan’s back and told him he could call him niisan.

“Tsuna-niisan,” Ichigo had said because Isshin was listening with a weird smile, and Tsuna-niisan beamed.

He needed to get away for a bit, he had confided to Kaasan when Ichigo was supposed to be asleep. Goat Face didn’t like him much, but that was okay, because Tsuna-niisan was the coolest person ever. He didn’t care if Ichigo cried, never made fun of his name, and helped him with karate so he could beat Tatsuki. It didn’t work, but he did manage to surprise her, so it was almost like winning to Ichigo.

Tsuna-niisan also took really good care of the twins, which really made him the best. He always knew what was wrong and got them to stop crying even when Kaasan couldn’t. He believed Ichigo about the ghosts, even though he couldn’t see them any more than blurry outlines of people.

When Tsuna-niisan had to leave, he looked concerned and told Kaasan he had a bad feeling, to be very careful, but Ichigo told him he’d protect his mother and sisters because he was the First Protector, so Tsuna-niisan didn’t have to worry.

Ichigo failed.

He woke up that day on the riverbank, his mother’s corpse on top of him, a warm orange fire burning on his hands. That was how the paramedics found them, Ichigo on fire, pinned under his mother’s corpse as the rain fell on them. He thinks he passed out after that, woke up with no sign of burns on his body, much to the confusion of the doctors, who dismissed it as some sort of hallucination or mirage.

He stayed in the hospital for a week, practically comatose, until his sisters came to see him. Alone, without Goat-Face because who knew where he was now. He remembered what his mother had told him. First Protector. He had to take care of his sisters. They dragged Goat-Face into signing him out, and Ichigo began taking stock of the kitchen while Goat-Face went back into his office to plan the funeral and drink.

They were almost out of bread, because sandwiches were the only thing his five-year-old sisters knew how to make. Ichigo could kick himself for forgetting about them. Goat-Face has managed to pull it together enough to arrange the funeral, but he wasn’t dependable, what was he expecting.

Ichigo found his pocket money, found his mother’s wallet, found the emergency stash in his mother’s nightstand, until three weeks later they were out of money, out of food, out of options. Goat-Face kept drinking.

Ichigo was thinking about going out to fight some Yakuza for money when a slip of paper fell down from his desk. Ichigo was so tired. He’d picked up the habit of picking at his nails as he tried to calculate the food expenses. He seriously contemplated leaving the loose paper on the floor, but his mother didn’t raise him to be messy, so he picked it up and was about to throw it in the trash when he actually looked at it and paused.

Tsuna-niisan arrived with his mother and a friend two days after Ichigo called him and apologized for taking so long. He knelt down and hugged Ichigo, and he almost started to cry again.

Goat-Face hadn’t invited him or Nana-basan to the funeral, but they were here now, so it was okay. Hibari-san was kinda scary, but no one ever bothered them when he walked him and his sisters to school. Nana-ba made delicious food, and she taught Ichigo how to cook simple meals with solemn eyes. Tsuna-niisan made everything better.

They stayed for a month before Tsuna-niisan had to leave for his job because he was a Very Important Person, but he made Ichigo promise to call him every week and told him he would send them money once a month. He couldn’t take them with him, but he promised to come whenever he could. Hibari-san still lived in Japan, and he gave Ichigo, whom he called a small animal, his phone number.

Before he left, Tsuna-niisan went to the office Goat-Face had cooped himself in to talk to him. Ichigo didn’t know what they talked about, but Goat-Face came out the next day, scowling at Tsuna-niisan but opening the clinic again.

Life, Ichigo was half-horrified, half-relieved to find, went on. He never mentioned the orange fire, nor did he say anything about the occasional thugs that harassed him, or the Yakuza he traded favors and jobs for protection for his sisters. Tsuna-niisan protected them from separation, from financial insecurity, and in turn Ichigo protected them from the threats closer to home. Tsuna-niisan was always stressed when he visited, Ichigo had noticed, so he kept his mouth shut about the bullying, about Isshin’s surprise training attacks, and especially about the Yakuza.

Eventually it all came to a head when the boss asked him to attack a foreign group that was infringing on their territory. He was acting a bit shady, but Ichigo could hardly refuse. By thirteen, he had already built up a bit of a reputation amongst the local gangs of beating multiple people without much trouble. It was pretty obviously a trap, but it was hardly one Ichigo could refuse.

Ichigo crept to the warehouse carefully, doing his best not to be seen or heard. There were eight guys, three more than the Oyabun had told Ichigo there were. That was okay, Ichigo could manage up to twelve guys, if he was lucky and they were surprised. They looked unarmed, at the very least - it was hard to get guns in Japan - but they might just be concealing a knife or small firearm.

Ichigo was not lucky, they were not surprised, and they were armed after all. He managed to take down half before a skinny teenager who looked only a little older than him with curly hair managed to knock him down.

“What are you doing here, kid?” he squinted at him. “Wait. Are you Kurosaki Ichigo?”

Ichigo tensed and orange sparks appeared around his hands.

“What’s it to you?” he asked, struggling even more to hide the licks of flames.

“Tsuna-nii’s going to be so pissed,” the guy muttered with wide eyes and turned to one of the thugs coming up beside him, “Hey, you, stop that; he’s the Tenth’s cousin.”

Ichigo had stopped paying attention. “Tsuna-nii? As in Sawada Tsunayoshi? What’s Tsuna-niisan to you?”

Apparently, Tsuna-niisan was the other kid’s adoptive brother, so they were cousins.

Apparently, Tsuna-niisan has been trying to take over Karakura so the Kurosaki didn’t have to worry about any gangs threatening them.

Apparently, Tsuna-niisan was a Mafia boss to the biggest Mafia family ever.

Apparently, he had magic Mafia fire powers.

By the time Ichigo was 15, the Vongola had consolidated their hold over Karakura Town, and Tsuna had helped Ichigo get a nice hold over his Sky Flames. Nobody messed with the Kurosaki or their clinic anymore, not unless they’re particularly stupid punks, the kind that Ichigo could beat with his eyes closed and a hand tied behind his back thanks to low-key terrifying training from Hibari-san. He had a Latent Lightning Bond with Sado Yasutora and a Latent Rain in Arisawa Tatsuki - which were not going anywhere because Ichigo was not allowed to get involved or let others get involved with the Underground.

Tsuna had relaxed a bit, asking for calls only twice a month, and Goat-Face can get his act together well enough now that he could go to Parent-Teacher Conferences rather than Ichigo frantically calling Tsuna to have some adult going. Tsuna never stops sending money, but Ichigo quietly hides it away until his eighteenth birthday and for his sisters’ higher education. Ichigo is in the top ten in his class, and he is looking forward to studying English in college, maybe even moving to Italy. Life is, for all intents and purposes, good.

That’s when the Shinigami breaks into his room.

Any plans or spoilers on how Reborn!SWK meets his LEM?

Can Qi Energy be involved somehow? Like they were reborn as a Shadow spirit LEM met in the Shadow realm and just drag him to meet them or something? Sorry QE was my favorite in the movie, still sad what happened to them. 😅😅🥲

Reborn!SWK is a menace to society/his sworn pilgrims and I love him.

Reborn!Xuanzang/Tripitaka trying so hard to be the cool one. In hindsight he had no idea wtf the manfruit was, and he didn't even get a moment to be like; "Oh sweet Buddha this is a Texas Chainsaw Massacre-temple. Imma faint." so he could reject it. Man gets the "captured princess" treatment for the film.

Ao Lie/Bai Longma absolutely stealing the role as the most beautiful horse.

I adore Reborn!Sha Wujing in all his nerdy Abe Sapien-esque glory.

Reborn!Pigsy to Xuanzang; "No matter what your tear is for, I will wipe it." sounding a bit fruiter than expected with knowledge of lmk freenoodles :👀:

Pure Wind and Bright Moon are the meanest femboys I've encountered thus far in my Journey to the West media tour. I will summon my Reborn!LEM for express purposes of karma.

If Yuandi had ID'd Xuanzang as not remembering his past as GC, then it could have been a hilarious moment of Yunadi not understanding why Xuanzang sees good in him.

How this SWK meets his LEM is very much tied to the rift caused by Yuandi and Qi Energy/Fruitie I did say that Reborn!SWK's *MK* had "already lived it's first life".

QE/"Fruitie"' = Reborn!MK/Qi Xiaotian >:3

He takes on a new form after his and Yuandi's deaths in the film. After all Energy cannout be destroyed, only transferred. A form resembling the species of creature he most adored in his short life; a monkey demon. However, the effort expended by sealing/merging with Yuandi leaves the newly formed soul neither living nor dead. A little shadowy shade in the shape of an infant.

Luckily as the newly formed creature cries out for a parent that it's never had; a kind figure guiding lost souls with their lantern hears them.

Reborn!Six Earred Macaque: "Oh dear... what horrible being would abandon such a defenseless creature?" Reincarnated QE: *delighted baby monkey chirping!* Reborn!LEM: *picks up QE and holds them tight* "Don't worry little one. I'll take care of you." Reincarnated QE: *tries nomming on LEM's glowing ears*

The shadow wielder dubs the baby; "Xiaoqi/Xiao Qi/效气" for their boundless energy even as a hungry newborn. And so Reborn!LEM continues on their own journey with a little stowaway in tow.

Both the pilgrims and the shadow wielder cross paths in the Slow-Cart Kingdom. Where a monk is captured, a pair of monkeys bond over unwanted suitors and an unexpected addition to their party, and a primordial energy spirit tries their best to tell the pilgrims that they're all better now!
