jack was the one who brought up first kiss stories. luke noticed how you suddenly became uncomfortable at the conversation and tried to get his brother to change the topic.

luckily, you had run out of your drink, making it an excuse to leave the area where everyone was talking about their first kisses. you didn't feel proud to be nineteen and have never been kissed. you hated the topic because you didn't have anything to add.

jack and luke had a balcony in their apartment and luckily no one questioned when you got a new drink and slipped out onto the balcony. the curtains were drawn closed so no one could see you out there.

luke had made an excuse to join you. you jumped at the sound of the door opening. "oh luke, hi."

"hi, you okay?" he asked. "oh yeah... i just don't like talking about that topic," you whispered. "you haven't had your first kiss yet either, have you?"

you suddenly felt a bit better after realizing luke also hadn't kissed anyone yet either. maybe it was the alcohol or the connection of not having first kisses yet, but you looked at luke. "..."

he smiled softly, "..."

"do you want to kiss?" you asked. "yeah," luke was reaching over, carefully cupping your cheek and pulling you in for a kiss. it felt like the first kisses in books and movies. fireworks, perfection, it felt so good.

the two of you split and were both blushing. "thanks for being a good first kiss luke," you smiled. "maybe it won't be our last?" luke suggested a cheeky smile on his face.

At the lake house during the summer, Ella tends to get overwhelmed by how many of her brother’s friends show up. Every year she hates going there because she never enjoys it.

All throughout her school year, it was hard for her to find real friends. She loved being alone but at times when she saw her brothers having fun with their friends, it made Ella sad. Her only friend was Taryn but she lived in St.Louis and it was hard to see her when both had to attend school and sports.

The summer before they both went off to college Quinn arranged for Taryn to stay the whole summer at the lake house. Ella cried and couldn’t let go of her. That summer she was so genuinely happy and had the best time with her best friend. Quinn and Luke were so proud to see her finally enjoying her summer and interacting with their friends for once.

you were full of nerves, ignoring texts from various people all day. different family friends and friends of your brothers like josh, brady, trevor, ethan, nico had all texted you.

“you ready?” quinn asked. nodding you walked out with your family. it wasn’t projected you would be going first but still in the top 10.

you sat between luke and jack, quinn leaning over to check on you every couple of minutes. you were mic’ed up for the event as well. your mom and dad both telling you how proud they were no matter what.

five picks went before you. your leg bouncing with nerves. “vancouver, you are on the clock!” the announcer said. you had talked to a bunch of teams before hand and knew a lot of teams wanted you. “quinn? any hints?” you joked nervously, looking over at your brother. “they didn’t tell me if they were going to draft you.”

luke held your hand for support and jack had his arm around you. “and with the sixth overall pick in this year’s nhl entry draft, the vancouver canucks are proud to select, from ohio state university, (y/n) hughes.”

quinn stood quickly, pulling you into his arms. excited to have you with him. “i’m so proud of you!” he shouted hugging you. he let jack and luke hug you and then you hugged your parents before walking down to the stage.

Okay so another one of my favs is Connie. She's so outgoing and very sassy, and I fr love her for that. Like when the ducks call her as she's abt to kiss Giy or she tells Guy he looks "amazingly stupid" 😍😍 I lovebher. Which brings me to my next person, Guy!! He's so cute 😍😍 he's also really funny even tho he never gets much screentime, when he's on screen it's great. Same scenes that I pointed out for Connie, I loved his reactions. JULIE!! I never used to pay much attention to her but she's so badass and the way she gets kicked out of game for bashing 2 guys heads is so mf funny I love her she's iconic. RUSS TYLER OML. I used to think he was annoying af but he's actually so funny, and he is also judt so iconic with all his snarky remarks and how he gets his neighborhood to play the ducks, but still teaches them how to improve!!
