⛏️ Expedition to Moria

I would watch the heck out of a road trip movie about Merry and Pippin. Think Dumb and Dumber if it took place in the Shire. Maybe they’re heading to Gondor for the coronation??? I think it would give major stoner comedy vibes and I’m here for it.

Definitely the theme of hope vs. despair. Throughout the entire trilogy, we have this feeling of increasing bleakness. I would almost compare it to Heart of Darkness (Joseph Conrad) in that it has this “journey into the innermost circle of Hell” arc where things get darker and more dangerous and the characters have more and more pressure put on them.

But then there are these sweet little moments like Boromir and the hobbits sword fighting, and Legolas and Gimli starting to bond and overcome their differences, and Sam is working so hard to stay fiercely positive to the end. And Gandalf helps get Theoden out of his deep despair and he becomes this extremely strong leader once again. And of course Aragorn, right before the Battle of Helms Deep, has his line about how there is always hope.

It’s just so powerful to see these people that fate brought together, desperately trying to do this one last quest that will save the entirety of Middle Earth. The odds were entirely stacked against them. Their enemies were so incredibly powerful and terrifying. It would be so easy to just give up. But everyone has this undying hope. This tiny little flicker of hope the size of an unassuming gold ring.

And because of that hope, they are able to accomplish this impossible task.

I struggle with depression and anxiety. I’ve been faced with so many impossible situations where it seemed all hope was lost. But this beautiful story is an excellent reminder that there IS still hope and you CAN overcome this situation. And it WILL work out somehow.

🏛 What architecture style do you build in most? fuck if i know!!! uhhh imma say like. classicalish (i like my pillars okay) and also mediaeval?? idk what the right one is. i switch it up constantly tho so none of my buildings rlly look the same lol. also i like building naturally. as in like nature

🛏 What colour is your bed? (Or the one you sleep in most). red <3 honestly my current bed should be orange to match my house but i always default to red bc yes. on the other server im on i live in the nether so i do not have a bed!!

❤️ Do you keep your health at max all the time? very much so. i am a scared little guy i dont like dying so ill always keep my health as high as possible. food on the other hand. oops

Do you have a favourite dye pattern? so i was gonna say no. but then i realised that i have like six different banner designs for specific things atm. so yeah i do use them. i like making flags to represent things :D favourite dye pattern would have to b the gradients. flower charge is a close second its soso good

🎒 What items do you typically keep on your hotbar? it depends what i own at that point, but the ideal is: 1st slot - bow, 2nd slot - pickaxe, 3rd slot - axe, 4th slot - sometimes a shovel sometimes a wormhole for transportation, sometimes nothing, depends on the server, 5th + 6th slots - empty, 7th slot - stack of blocks, 8th slot - food, 9th slot - gapples, offhand - shield. theres a bunch of stuff i keep in my inventory at all times too

🐬 Do you give dolphins blocks to play with? not often enough rip </3

📦 What kind of storage system do you use? (Or describe your storage setup). lots of chests and item frames <3 people hate my storage systems bc of how i group things. it makes sense to me and only me <3 everything is soso neat all the time and ive had people think its all automated but it is not!! i hate when i run out of room tho its so annoying

⛏ Favourite building block? mmmmm this ones HARD. calcite is great. so is acacia, especially paired with dark oak. spruce is very nice. controversial opinon that amethyst sucks to build with!!! moss. moss is so good. imma go moss and calcite second. they r so nice

This guy!!! This!!! In my survival world I actually even have an horse just like this that I named Epona! And she has diamond horse armor and is a surprisingly good horse for finding her in the middle of literally nowhere

usually starter food is wheat, then when i get animals sheep for mutton which doubles for wool and cows for beef which doubles for leather ^_^

hard to describe but usually kinda nether type builds? like a lot of blackstone and basalt and the like. I like more natural looking builds as well so like terraforming a cliff and making the inside a cave home etc. i also Loveeeeeee building gardens and trees so nature stuff

THATS SO EVIL ermmmmm. I love leaves particularly azalea leaves. I also like the stoney ones like smooth stone andesite etc

OHHH i loveee minecraft cats theyre so so adorable and even my IRL cats love them! Charlie will come sit on my desk and look behind the monitor for these mysterious cats 🥺

theyre just so adorable and they basically dictate my entire playstyle in a way. getting cats is usually my number one or two priority in a world- i use them for farms, achievements, and free serotonin :D so i will log in, punch fish, find a village, and herd cats lmao!

by endgame, i usually wind up with heaps of them across the world:

my survival hotbar always looks like this!!

in this specific order. if im building, sometimes i lose the axe, shovel, and gapples into the inventory (along with the enderchests i keep there) but otherwise it Has to be organized like this

and my favorite tool would have to be the pickaxe! it always gets the netherite and good enchants first. the absolute backbone of a good mc experience is the pick. mmmm Dig

as a bonus, here's my (current) skyblock hotbar:

thats AOTE (sword that makes you teleport, not for stabbing), FOT (sword that is a missile-launching flower), jungle pickaxe (for sludge), gemstone drill, and juju shortbow (gun). and in the inventory i usually keep my personal compactor for easy access.

🌻(sunflower) what are your favourite biomes? Furthermore which biome feels most like home to you (might not even be your fave!). If you could add new biomes to the game what would they be?

I love flower forests, because they're so pretty! feels really nice and cozy because it mixes plains but elevates it with varied terrain and ah it's so lovely! also has bees

I also like mega spruce taigas, the ones with the boulders!

As for which one feels most like home, probably snowy plains! y'know, the really flat one covered in snow as far as the eye can see. There's a reason I named myself after winter!

Aaaaand what I would add, hmmm. probably more variations of underground biomes! I know we have the huge caves and the deep dark and the lush areas and all that, but I would love an underground cove full of crystals and stained glass alone the ceilings and walls! Other than that, more air biomes! I wanna see small cloud houses and floating islands or expansions of the mushroom fields that add giant mushroom structures!

⛏ (pickaxe) what tools do you always keep with you on your hotbar? What is the most important tool to have on you?

depends what server I'm on! if I'm playing vanilla, I usually just have the standard axe, pickaxe, shovel, and sometimes a sword or shears if I'm adventuring or building!

with modded tools and biomes like in another server, I like having a silk touch axe, any pick, a hammer (basically 3x3 pickaxe), and a shovel just in case. Then everything else is a case of circumstance and what I manage to get and enchant!

I also like having a full netherite hoe on me, one for silk one for fortune. it started as something I did because of how much I saw people going "WHY???" whenever someone upgraded hoes and I thought it was super funny, but it's just become something nice and convenient for me!
