hello to you too! hope you're doing well 💕 i'm really sorry it took me so long to reply, but i needed to sort through my very confusing thoughts to give them some sort of consistency, sjksjks. if you guys ever find yourselves curious about any of my ocs (which you can easily find here) please, do not hesitate to ask! i just love talking aimlessly about them and receiving these types of questions makes my heart all fuzzy and warm, so thank you for taking an interest in one of my wayhaven detectives!

okay, you didn't ask for my stupid rambles (and i swear one day i'll stop — *insert the 'today is not that day' meme*) so here are some facts:

RUE PARKER

‘the wayhaven chronicles’ canon

personality stats: sarcastic, easygoing & charming (also: not really a stickler for the rules and authority in general);

professional skills: deduction, science & combat — no matter what she's doing or how many times she's done it, the results will always be perfect and spot on;

rebecca → relationship status: not overly bad. honestly? could be better, but it could be much, much worse (personal note #1: rebecca is not my favourite character in the series and i'd probably be happier if she had died already — fingers crossed for book 5, sorry-not-sorry, becky — or, at least, if the narrative/characters would stop forcing the readers/mc to forgive her);

tina & verda → relationship status: best pals. her ride-or-die squad;

felix → relationship status: best friend. she found a mischievous kindred soul to relate with and if you ever encounter them together... run (there's this scene at the beginning of book 3, where adam/ava asks why the werewolves attacked them and rue answered with: "i may have made one teeny sarcastic comment", causing adam's/ava's soul to leave their body, lol);

bobby → relationship status: ex-boyfriend (personal note #2: i've always hated that the mc's gender/sexuality is what determines the ros' and bobby's gender) — she's not bothered by him at all, but since her responses are very sarcastic, well... rest in peace, robert marks;

mason → relationship status: a big, bright question mark;

personal canon

if i have to choose a few words to describe her, i'd say: naturally talented, wild card & big dick energy;

hyperactive little kid — couldn't stay still at all. always exploring the world around her, climbing up some tree/furniture or hiding somewhere in the house/backyard to play (the sitters tasked with keeping an eye on her went batshit crazy all. the. time);

as i said here, rue is extremely smart, often prone to boredom if something is not mentally challenging/stimulating enough (which can also be applied to her romantic relationships);

if you ever need someone to cut out some tension (or spike it up even more), she is the right gal for you. unfortunately, 99% of the time, the saying 'taking things seriously' is not part of her vocabulary (e.g. in book 3, when finding out about the trappers' bounty, she says: "how much am i worth?"). what can i say, she really likes to have a good time;

sarcasm is her default mode, plus she always downplays her feelings/emotions by either ignoring them or making badly-timed jokes;

rarely bothered by anything (e.g. in book 3, during the 'fight' with mason/morgan at the bakery, rue replies with: "me being naked is way more important to you") plus, not a jealous person ever (alima included, when she'll make her appearance);

was in an on-again/off-again relationship with bobby. after a while, though, she got exceedingly bored by the monogamous lifestyle and decided to dump his ass;

never had serious relationships/fell in love before — this is partly because: a) she's a free-spirited person & b) she's scared shitless of commitment (mostly caused by rook's death and seeing what that did to rebecca). in a sense, she and mason are quite similar;

just thinking about the word 'love' has her panicking really bad (i.e. after the 'date' at the antique shop), so when mason will inevitably confess his feelings to her... the only way i can see this going is with rue assuming it's all some kind of prank but, once her huge brain will catch on the fact that mason is not exactly the joking type, she will get cold feet and blearily say: "uhh, thank you, i guess?". after realizing what she has said/done, she will skedaddle so fast that the only thing people are going to see is an indistinctive, blurry form (later, she will definitely wish for an asteroid to hit her);

likes to sing everywhere: in the shower, at her workplace, inside the car, you name it (and she's also very good at hitting those high notes too — while she was attending the police academy, 'the karaoke incident' happened and no one beside her and tina knows the truth about it. verda is still trying to unsuccessfully bribe them to know what took place);

excellent chef — loves to cook/bake when she has some free time (she just thinks the entire process is pretty neat, starting with a few ingredients to achieve a full-on meal);

there’s a puzzle in front of you, half-done as the steaming mug beside you warms the air. there are headphones on your ears, playing the video you’d been thinking about all day.

placing the last blue-colored piece, you take a small break to stretch your limbs. after looking at the full size picture, you decide yellow will be the chosen color next. you blink, eyes tired and back aching but your mind refusing to let you rest until the puzzle is done.

a small, hesitant tap hits your left shoulder. you jump slightly, head turning slowly to see beat up converse falling off of mismatched socks. you sigh, “hi, peter.”

“hey, lovey.” he smiles — you can’t see it with your back to him, but you can hear the grin he holds. a soft brush to your back before he sits on the chair behind you. “wanna join me up here for a bit?”

you do, placing your headphones on the table and grabbing your drink. you allow peter to grab you, maneuvering your body until you’re sideways on his lap. he sighs happily, “missed you today.”

you smile, eyes still on your favorite mug. “missed you, too. your cologne smells nice.”

“it’s new!” peter grins again. his nose hits your temple, lips popping onto your cheekbone, trailing down to your cheek slowly. “glad you like it. thought you would.”

the room grows quiet as peter scrolls through his phone, his left hand rubbing your back. you take a peek at his feed, dimming a bit at how fun it looked. pool parties ; clubbing ; long drives that lead to a road trip — you felt like you made him miss out on it all.

“will you get bored of me?”

peter pauses, his thumb hovering over his phone. you stiffen, nails grinding against the ceramic in your hands. “why would you ask that?”

you shrug and try to divert him — try to change the subject. it’s too late, though, as peter sets his phone down and focuses on you. “[name]. why would i get bored of you?”

“im not very fun,” you admit. you glance at him fleetingly, seeing how sincere and warm his eyes were. “i stay in and do boring things like puzzles. you might want to do more and i won’t let you.”

“you don’t force me here against my will.” peter’s tone is aghast — offended almost as he speaks. his hold tightens momentarily as he scoots you closer. “i like watching you do things you enjoy. even if you think they’re boring.”

your gaze falls again as you adjust his phone to sit the way you want it to. your fingers curl at the habit, pulling your hand away from it slowly. “even when i do things like that?”

“yeah,” he lets out a breathy laugh. “it makes you feel better. that’s all i care about — your comfort.”

your eyebrows furrow, nose scrunching. “that’s weird. you should care for yourself more.”

peter laughs again, his nose poking your temple as he kisses the side of your ear. “that’s what you’re for, hm?”

Alright, let's do this one last time:

My name is Pedro Parker-Chavez (he/they pronouns). When I was fourteen, I was bitten by a radioactive spider. And ever since, I've been the one and only Spiderling-- Or, Phantom, as my people like to call me (they're not too fond of the way I sneak up on them lol).

I'm pretty sure you know the rest!

I saved a bunch of people, got two amazing best friends --who now help me with my vigilantism-- and then we saved the city again...and again, and again, and-

I'm pretty sure you get the drift.

And a few weeks ago, I found a way into the multiverse. Now, I hang out with my new- and old- friends with my time off. My parents don't really care, as long as it gets me out of the house.

And (thankfully) unlike the other Spiderman variants, I seem to be one of the only ones who doesn't allow themselves to be bullied (like seriously Peter, ya gotta stand up for yourself). I've been suspended six times and fist fought a teacher once ♥

"Do you think she's single?" Alex suddenly asks in the middle of a study session with Jay at the library. He taps his pen (the one that has been used to write exactly zero notes down for the last hour) against his chin, either purposefully or incidentally ignores the glare Jay levels at him from his seat across from Alex. He's perched horribly awkwardly in his chair, Alex notes when he stops looking away pensively.

"Who?" Jay asks, staring back down at the textbook he has laid out in front of him. Alex can almost feel the annoyance rolling off of him in waves. He finds it vaguely amusing.

"Amy," Alex says, as if it's the most obvious fact in the world. Jay huffs and rolls his eyes, and Alex throws a nearby eraser at him in response. "I'm serious! She's so pretty and nice and funny, there's like... No way, right?"

Jay rolls his eyes again, and Alex swears he's going to get his eyes stuck in the back of his head one of these days from just how often he does so. "I don't know and I don't care, man. I thought you invited me here to study, not talk about girls."

Alex snorts and finally looks down at his long since abandoned textbook. "We can do both. You seriously don't know?"

Jay lets out some sort of exasperated noise and shrugs. "Why don't you go ask her yourself? If anyone's gonna know, it's her. I don't even talk to her, man."

Alex makes some sort of thoughtful noise, taps his chin with his pen again. He supposes Jay is right, as much as he's not exactly thrilled at the idea. Thinking about Amy is a lot easier than talking to her — he's spoken to her a handful of times in their shared gen ed courses, but he always feels like he ends those interactions making a great fool out of himself in front of her. He supposes he's going to have to learn to get over that if he wants any semblance of a chance with her, though, so he nods resolutely to himself before finally allowing himself to turn his attention fully to his classwork for the first time today.

It's a few weeks before Alex actually gets the courage to speak to Amy. He hadn't actually planned to do it that day, but the words had stumbled out of him. Amy had been late to class that day, a rare occurrence for someone usually so punctual. She had arrived in a flustered tizzy, sneaking into the back of the lecture hall and choosing the first seat she saw — which, of course, was the seat right next to Alex. He tried not to stare at her openly as she got her things out of the bag slung over her shoulder as quietly as possible.

"Hey," Amy suddenly whispers, and when Alex feels the heat of her body leaning into him slightly, he knows she's talking to him. He's distantly aware that his face is probably bright red. "Do you have a pen I can borrow?"

"Are you single?" Alex asks instead of answering, and his eyes promptly go as wide as dinner plates. Amy's eyes go wide too, and Alex thinks it's wishful thinking to hope that he's not imagining her face going red. He coughs, cringing terribly at himself as he goes digging in his backpack on the floor underneath his chair instead of acknowledging... any of this. He pulls out a pen after a minute of fumbling and shakily hands it to her, dutifully looks away from her face. He doesn't think he can bear to look at her face right now in fear that there'll be any sign of contempt in her eyes (the most beautiful shade of blue. He thinks he would gladly get lost in them).

Amy takes the pen with hushed gratitude, and Alex's whole body jolts with the way their fingers just barely brush together. He wants to hit his head against the table in front of him, feeling terribly mortified at just how easily she seems to effect him without even meaning to. He doesn't think any of this is what Jay had in mind when he had told Alex to just ask her himself.

Alex is just about to resign himself to a permanently Amyless life when suddenly there's a scrap of paper being quietly slid onto the desk in front of him. He looks down at it with wide eyes, half expecting it to be some sort of angry note written by Amy for being so awkward and clueless, but he's extremely pleasantly surprised to see a phone number along with a note that says yes i am :P i'd love to hang out with you. He finally chances a glance back over at Amy, only to find her dutifully paying attention to their professor with the prettiest little smile on her face. Alex can't help the way a smile spreads onto his own face as he stares back down at the note. He neatly folds it up and puts it in the pocket of his jacket with the decision to text her the moment he gets home. He distantly thinks he'll have to come up with a much cooler story to tell his friends how he managed to get Amy's phone number, but for now, the excitement is too much for him to focus on anything but the smile on Amy's face and the note sitting heavy in his pocket.

And hmm, tbh I have two options for both of them!

El would be a perfect Gwen or Betty while Dustin would be a perfect Ned or Peter Parker.

If we are talking about just spiderman au, then El’s determination, need to help others and setting her own rules works perfectly with Gwen’s personality and her story. Dustin on the other hand is intelligent and has that chaotic personality, just like Peter Parker!

Buuuut, if we are going with byler au, then I think that Ned and Betty are also very good for them! AND! they actually dated for a moment in the second movie so it works <3

And about their roles, hmmm, im thinking about both of them having to listen to mike & will gushing about the other one, how the other one is perfect and whatnot, AND because ned and betty are already dating they would help them a little ;) 

like, ya know, ‘’yeah, yeah, we are just going to hang out guys” but then, they don’t and a) it turns out to be a double date or b) our couple don’t show up and will and mike hangs out alone <3

2022 in games

Mostly, I do these lists for myself, so I'm extra lazy to not make it cutesy or even mildly aesthetic. But also do look at these as recommendations from me.

This year I managed to play 14 games (I finished all - well, what you can finish anyway, and didn't have to DNF anything!)

10. Marvel SNAP (turned-based strategy, card game): I got sucked into this, not just because Marvel (and I'm still in my Marvel phase) but because it's a fast-paced game I can play during lunch breaks. Did I spend money on it? You'll never know. (I'm ashamed to say yes, but it was mostly because of the Spider-Man card back, sue me. I'm a spider whore.)

9. Bugsnax (adventure, puzzle game): Yeah, I know it was memed to hell and back, but it has a surprisingly compelling storyline and real emotional depth. It's fun, it's cute and the end is horrifying.

8. A Plague Tale: Requiem (action, stealth game): I really loved the first one, it was the canon of my heart, and while I was sad that most of the secondary cast was switched off, we still have Lucas. ♥ Anyway, the gameplay is smoother, and the art is prettier than before, but the story swept me away. Yeah, my mom now is dying from cancer, and it fucking sucks, so Amicia's end monologues hit differently for me. Kind of cathartic. This game will always have a special place in my heart. ♥

7. God of War: Ragnarök (action, hack and slash, puzzle, RPG): The game that won every award this year is kinda in the back for me. Not that I didn't love it, every gameplay aspect was better than the previous installment, and the cast of characters is incredible, but... The story is weirdly placed. Still gave me so many ships. SO MANY.

6. Life is Strange: True Colors (adventure, interactive story, puzzle): Honestly, this is my favorite LiS game, I know the tone is so different from the first one, but the CHARACTERS! OMG! Both of the romantic options are so nice, I just wanted them to live happily after. It's my comfort game.

5. Marvel's Midnight Suns (turned-based, strategy card game, RPG): Talk about a comfort game! This game is so niche, you have the card battles, yes, but also the relationship-building with your favorite Marvel heroes. Because it's Marvel, they couldn't go with romance options, but trust me, it's very iddy and very fanfic-y. This is straight-up every fanfic from the early Avengers Towers era, and the creators RELISHED in it, they knew what they were doing. Plus: Yuri Lowenthal plays Peter Parker again. ♥

4. Stray (action, platform, puzzle, stealth game): The kitty game! I'm not a big fan of cats - me being allergic to them, but this game was so charming, and it really had emotional depth I wasn't counting on.

3. Horizon II: Forbidden West (action RPG): I was glad to see that they fleshed out the secondary characters, and now I actually liked them. (LOVED THEM!!!) Obviously, it's a pretty and fun game, but the story had some issues, but they used a lof of my favorite tropes, and I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT GAME.

2. Hades (action, RPG, hack and slash, roguelike): Yeah, yeah, I bought this game on release day, and I JUST MANAGED TO PLAY IT THIS YEAR! Fun fight system, impeccable story-telling, what more can I say?

1. Mass Effect Trilogy (action RPG): So again the first place goes to a very famous sci-fi media, which I haven't consumed for some reason up until now. I really don't know how I managed to not play this yet, but this was a whole rollercoaster journey. ♥

What sort of content do you write?

I write for a variety of fandoms, mainly being Marvel, DC Arrowverse, and The 100. I also write for Supernatural, The Walking Dead, DC Comics, Game of Thrones, Vampire Diaries, Star Wars, The Mandalorian, The Originals, Witcher, Grey's Anatomy, Fast & Furious, and The Last Kingdom. All of my writing is character x reader, most often than not, f!reader. Though there may be one or two fics that are gn!reader. Most of my genres for writing are the common genres, fluff, angst, with the occasional smut thrown in the mix.

Is there anything that you don't/won't write?

I will not write anything that involves abusive relationships, rape, dark tropes, kinks (mainly because I don't really write much smut) You can find out more about my do's and dont's here

Can you read my fic?

Of course! I have beta’d some works before that weren’t mine and I gave feedback to them privately. If I had their permission, I would correct any mistakes I found but I would let them know what those were. If they didn’t want me correcting anything I would just let them know of the mistakes I found, if any. Any works I beta I reblog to my main with feedback or I give feedback privately, depending on the writer's preference

I sent you an ask and you didn’t respond, why?

I either 1, didn’t get it or 2, it got lost in all my other asks. I have a lot of asks, ranging from people asking me to write them something, or things I sent myself to remember to do so if I didn’t answer, send me another! I’ll answer them as soon as I can!

How long does it take you to upload another story chapter or a new story?

I don’t actually have a time frame for when I post an update to a series or a new story. For my series, it’s mainly whenever I have the next part written, or whenever I actually remember to post it. Sometimes I’ll post after I’ve written a part and sometimes, I’ll post after I’ve finished the entire series. Though I am trying to stick to the writing schedule I have listed above.

Will you ever update your old unfinished series?

Honestly, probably not. I started those series because I wanted to write it and then after a while, notes started to go down and I lost motivation to actually continue to write it. Maybe one day I’ll post another part to it, as inspiration does strike at odd times.
