How do you personally see Salem’s story ending?
I imagine we'll first see her defeated physically and more importantly ideologically by Ruby, tying into my recent theory that Salem is both meant to be a Fallen Hero, and more specifically Ruby's true Evil Counterpart.
And then will wind up joining our heroines when the time comes to fight the gods, specifically Light. In particular, I can definitely see a situation wherein Salem figures out how to effectively leverage her 'curse' of immortality against the gods. Like I think it's real fun to imagine a scene in which she uses her immortality to somehow shield Ruby and possibly her friends from Light's attacks, mocking the god in a very 'the only way you're killing them is by giving ME what I've always wanted' way.
I do think ultimately Salem is going to die, along with Ozma, possibly though some form of heroic sacrifice. Or possibly some more esoteric form of 'ascending to a higher plane of existence' type thing, via the Tree.
Though for a very specific character reference, I think she's gonna go out like Lordgenome in Gurren Lagann XD

I think people don't talk enough about the Spiral Nemesis and how it's not entropy because of overpopulation, but how the Spiral Nemesis is actually a full on war between spiral life forms that ends up destroying the universe, how Lordgenome himself would've been prone to this and the own strenght of the Anti-Spiral was the one who ended up probably saving the universe, and how the fears of the Anti-Spiral got confirmed when he used his power to give himself and just himself a good life on an earth that was barren whilst oppresing and resenting his own kind, like i understand he got convinced that the Anti-Spirals were invincible and a good future was impossible even with his own power, so he chose to break the rule of spiral power by creating creatures that would enforce a will that comes from despair, fear and defeat, the Anti-Spirals touched his soul and it got to him in the end.
Returning to the Spiral Nemesis i think that the Anti-Spirals were this enforced idea of entropy and giving up against the weight of mortality and the usage of will as a sustainable motivator, it's a fearful oppresor mentality that goes all the way from what they saw as "Destiny" but was nothing but a dark path that every being was at the risk of falling in. It's such a good perspective on the argument that human nature is one of violence and selfishness, weighting it with fate on itself.
Finally i love how death is out of the whole Evolution vs Stillness, the series understands that inmortality is something that humans aren't meant to feel, we saw how fucked up Lordgenome and the Anti-Spirals got on it, it expresses the end of life as this natural process that even in the wake of death, serves a purpose at great scale so the universe on itself can exist peacefully.
I should finish my homework

Damn the system making people dump tanks of water, spilling oil on the land and sea, ordering the destruction of technology that doesn't sell and insure endless landfills of plastic paraphernalia is responsible for climate collapse? That's some anime plot twist.

I feel like Light might have some sort of breakdown and try to undo all of existence, not just for Remnant, but everything, including the Ever After, if his perfect order cannot exist then neither should anything else.
Yeah, that definitely tracks with the hints we've gotten, particularly with what we learned at the end of Volume 9.
You know maybe we're going to find out that the Brothers have spent all this time essentially repeating what we've already seen them do. Like Remnant is just one abandoned project of many.
And NONE of them live up to their, or rather Light's expectations. A fact which has led to his mental state... shall we say deteriorating of the eons. Basically getting more and more obsessed with his 'perfect order' that he's chasing. Bonus points if he starts super projecting and calling our heroines and everyone else the 'real' threat he must eradicate.
Basically I've still got that hunch that Light is going to turn out to have real 'Anti-Spiral' vibes.
And Team RWBY and co. are going to have to make like Team Dai-Gurren and go kick his ass in truly epic fashion XD

Random but I always get super annoyed when people describe Gurren Lagann as “human spirit versus indifferent cruel universe” story like NO did you not fucking watch the show? Spiral power and people using it to become progressively more awesome is literally part of the laws of physics of that universe, that is the natural progression! The universe in Gurren Lagann is fucking awesome and loving and spiral power is holy spiritual strength beyond anything one can imagine, something you use to learn and grow and persevere despite whatever squall you face, and the challenges of life are necessary because a life without challenge is meaningless.
The Anti-Spiral and Lordgenome are the bad guys because they see the challenges inherent in life — represented with the Spiral Nemesis — and become materialistic nihilistic pricks out of cowardice and greed, choosing to not progress any further but instead to live in ignorance and decadence, lording their prebuilt strength over younger people and denying them the spiritual growth that people need for life to have meaning, perverting the natural life cycle of the universe for their own selfish reasons under the guise of “protecting them from harm”.
Team Dai Gurren win because they see beyond the Anti-Spiral’s shallow idea of life and fight despite whatever their enemies throw at them, even continuing to fight from the next life, because they see the true nature of the universe — a place that becomes better with each turn of the drill — and find true immortality in living their lives to fullest.
