feels a little weird to see people complaining abt the unanswered questions in the newest doctor who episode, as if Midnight, widely regarded as one of RTD's best episodes doesn't also have a bunch of unanswered questions

like sometimes a story doesn't give you all the answers. especially one like 73 yards, which is so clearly meant to be a folklore/fae tale, like i just think instead of trying to apply a bunch of logic to story with clear magic at it's centre, maybe instead we should focus on how it uses said magic to get it's themes across. especially since this episode is so obviously about Ruby's abandonment issues

it's just that the whole episode is so plainly meant to be a fairy tale, i just don't think the audience is supposed to be trying to solve it all, i think maybe the whole point is to just focus on Ruby and her journey instead

⋆˙⟡ Her breath stilled as she looked upon her dearest friend. Perhaps it should not have surprised her that of all people, Tae would remember the day of her birth. She always spoke of how she waited for her for so long ( not that Lilith had any clue what she meant ) and had a much better memory than she.

It was not a tradition she experienced often herself. She would have received small gifts here and there as he sisters could smuggle to her, but they were never as vocal as what she saw in similar celebrations. But- of course, she had no use for counting such days. Nor should she seek to indulge in pleasures to celebrate meaningless things.

But here was Tae providing her with those pleasures. She had mentioned she wished to visit those gardens someday. There was so little else that Lilith loved more than the delicate little things.
