The video begins focused on Val, with a group of student researchers gathered around him in the atrium of the lab. Standing next to him, well, leaning on his shoulder, is Professor Sycamore. He looks down at Val with a soft smile on his face as it speaks to the gathered students.

There is a wince from Val as suddenly a sneasel pops up onto its shoulder and cries out.

"Ah, and this one is a special case," There's an annoyance in his tone as he moves to attempt to pull the sneasel off his shoulder. It cries and wails before stopping once it realizes Val is just going to hold him in its arms. "This is Casimir. He was surrendered to us, in addition to a handful of other pokemon, and has become a permanent resident. Although not ideal, we can take in trainer surrenders, but it is best to leave it to shelters. Casimir and all the other pokemon are special for reasons I am unaware of. Although I would gladly like to return him to his OT..."

There's a sigh from Val before he moves to set the sneasel down, much to its dismay. It starts squirming and crying out loudly in his grasp, clinging onto him. He sighs and pulls out an everstone, chalk full of holes and teeth marks, from his labcoat pocket and tosses it off to the side. The sneasel stops its rampage and chases after the stone, giving Val a small moment of reprieve.

"Anyway, that's enough time here. I'm sure you all are more excited to learn about Mega Evolution, hm?"

A few of the students nod and murmur excitedly as their focus shifts to Augustine. Val smiles warmly and gives a quick glance up to the professor before clasping his hands together.

"Well, I will then hand you over to her!" There's a small pause before Val quickly speaks again, rushing his words. "Ah, you're going to be in good hands! He is the leading expert in this field, I mean, ah, of course. Obviously. Anyway." He's cut off by Augustine resting a hand on its shoulder and giving him a small smile.

"Let's first thank Mr. Mondrain for its lovely tour of his research and facilities! Then we all can head up to the second floor and discuss the wonders of Mega Evolution!"

Val sighs softly, then smiles and nods as students pass, each giving a small "thank you" as they file out. When it's just the two in frame, Augustine sighs.

"Her?"

"Slip of the tongue, désolé mon Soleil."

Augustine smiles and nods, then leans down to quickly kiss his cheek.

"Would you like to continue on with the tour? You are my head assistant."

"Of course, my dear. I wouldn't want to miss a second of your demonstrations."

alright, I want to share some Moominvalley season 4 thoughts SPOILERS AHEAD

I don't want to go on a long rant, but, like many others, I was disappointed. Mostly since the writing felt off and a lot of character arcs felt completely abandoned (especially Moomintroll). And while I never truly believed they would make Snufkin and Moomintroll canon, I hoped they would continue with the same level of subtext as in previous seasons.

So believe me, I get the frustration - I'm right there with you. But I wish people would stop accusing Gutsy for queerbating and getting unreasonably angry at them for "ruining the show".

We have no idea what Gutsy or Moomin Co.'s true intentions were, but I refuse to believe they intentionally wanted to queerbate anyone. Probably Gutsy just weren't allowed to canonize the ship, if they wanted to, since it was never canon in the source material.

But does that matter?

Definitely there is a need for more explicitly queer media, but this is not that show. Here's a quote by Sarah Z on youtube, summing up my point perfectly:

"Why would some official stamp of canonization from an author hold more weight than the myriad connections audiences have made with the work?"

That snufmin didn't become canon in this adaptation doesn't make the queer reading of the pair any less valuable.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Gutsy or Moomin Co. are exempt from criticism, but please be respectful and constructive when giving it. Or, use any of your creative skills to rewrite the parts of the show you didn't like - that's what I will do 😉

i picture Eren in todays world really rocking with a minimalist street style

he’s all for comfort and breathability in his clothing and his style reflects that

a closet full of loose fitting boxy t-shirts

LOVES the cold months so he can layer his hoodies and leather jackets

while also sporting the slutty tightly fitted black shirt grey sweat pant combo every now and then

maybe even just walking out his apartment with a wife pleaser and baggy jeans on as a fit alone

all paired with sneakers, small silver hoops, and a chain of some sort

Mikasa Ackerman: 🍒💿📷🃏

we all know for a fact that Mikasa can DRESS

she just has an eye for fashion and has a unique style of her own

one that isn’t over the top, in terms of being a spectacle, but just well put together and tailored to HER. a girl you 110% give a second glance

she is a girlie who LOVES wearing any skirt whether it be long, midi, mini or knee length she LOVES them

most of her pieces are pretty free flowing with lots of different silhouettes

absolutely loves a good leather boot, pair of mary janes, or platform loafers

she literally could wear a trash bag and make it look like it’s the next trend

and has a huge collection of baggus

Armin Arlert: 🎧📘🍵☁️

Armin will literally never be free of the soft light academia aesthetic

the cable knit sweaters, soft cardigans, and sweater vests will forever have a hold on him

but what college boy Armin loves more than anything is a good quarter zip or quarter button up

or a nice casual white and blue striped button up

almost all of his clothing is soft and warm materials

definitely withholds the cute boy in the library title

Jean Kirschtein: 🪐👁️‍🗨️⚡️🌉

will live and die on the hill that Jean is a Carthartt guy

his look is a casual-relaxed but clean one

he’s all for clothing that is durable and will last him forever

Jean’s style is honestly super basic but NOT boring

although Jean’s style isn’t one that is made to make it hard to look away from its one that really just compliments him well

while wearing a variety of rings, with small hoops and a chain

his clothes compliment his strongly built and lengthy body well, which is why although they are basic, it isn’t boring

Connie is a literal fashionista

he probably is tiktok famous for his fit check videos and adventures at the thrift stores

the street style aesthetic was MADE for Connie

knows how to put pieces that may not look ideal together into a cohesive fit

LOVES JORTS and swears he made them trendy again

and wearing jerseys of teams he has no clue of , but it’s for the fit so who cares

Sasha Braus: 🍰🪩🗽🧸

the DEFINITION of downtown girl or coming of age movie in a city aesthetic

Sasha lives for the nostalgia of 90s pieces and it shows in her clothing

comfort is also a huge factor that plays into Sasha’s outfits

color is another component that makes Sasha’s outfits HER outfits

LOVES a good brown leather jacket

Sasha honestly though has a hard time sticking to just ONE specific style and will wear whatever feels good for her

Marco Bodt: 🍙🪴♠️🍊

Marco is a soft boy at heart but he’s traded in the traditional sweaters vests for hardy collared jackets

he absolutely LOVES PLAID

and loves layering his button ups with his worn out thrifted jackets

has a more warm palette in terms of colors and leans more towards earthy tones

super casual in his shoes though sticking to good tried and true high top converse, sambas, or loafers if he's feeling fancy

Top 3 most controversial acotar takes/opinions, now☄️

Uh nooooo only my top three? Alrighty. These are going to be very harsh:

1. I have read the ACOTAR series at least 3 times since 2021 and I very often skim chapters every week for posts and videos. And I will be fully honest, I never want to reread the series ever again because of Feyre. I dislike her biases, her hypocrisy, her habit of ignoring other people’s POVs and the mistakes she’s made. I hate her excuses and her blindness and selfishness and how she treats everyone who is not in the IC. I hate how she treats Tamlin and Lucien. I physically cannot reread ACOWAR without flinching at all of the stuff she does, ESPECIALLY her taking down Spring out of revenge. I do not like her as an FMC and I’m glad we have moved past her story and onto other characters.

2. I think the fanbase’s hatred for Tamlin is so extreme and it is heavily influenced by Feyre’s own biases, as well as stupid memes on tiktok. If you take a second to look at the story from Tamlin’s perspective, you can easily understand his actions. With Hybern, EVERYONE FORGETS THAT 1. He was not part of the Archeron Sister’s kidnapping, that was Ianthe. It’s literally explained by Hybern in the book. And 2. He was playing as a double agent, which is hinted at many many times and it is something we later discover. I would go into it more but I feel like that’s its own post that many people have made before.

3. I don’t think SJM is the best writer. I know writers can retcon, especially in huge series like this, but she uses retconning as a crutch, and it’s very frustrating. She has so many inconsistencies and plot holes and inconveniences that personally bother me. I think her world building in ACOTAR is so flat and not thought out at all, and her magic system is even worse. Most of her villains, not just in ACOTAR but in her other series, are not that good idk. She also has a habit of the typical villain monologue that I am getting so sick of and I literally skip the part of the human queen during the Blood Rite because I think it’s so badly written 😭😂

And here’s some random ones just for fun with no to little explanation (I couldn’t do just 3 LMAO sorry)

4. ACOTAR would be better in 3rd POV limited and we can still get the mystery of the world, Feyre’s biases, etc. A lot of problems I have would be solved if we got the POVs of other characters

5. I would like Rhys so much more if he was revealed to be a villain

6. Lucien is one of the only characters I genuinely enjoy, and I’m holding out for him. If he did not exist, I would not be reading ACOTAR at all

7. The IC are awful for how they treat Nesta and I DESPISE THE “intervention” they put her through. It was not a real intervention and readers should not try to defend it in that way

8. This fanbase is filled with too many straight normies who have never experienced a fanbase before and refuse to broaden their minds and think beyond canon. Tamsand would be the most popular ship in any other fanbase. There would be more sexuality and gender headcanons. Trans headcanons, trans fanfics, m-preg fanfics, etc etc. But I guess this is a very popular fantasy romance so I get why those aren’t popular but I should not have to explain why it’s okay to ship ships that aren’t canon, and why people often insert their heteronormative fantasies in queer ships (looking at you Azris)
