This is a piece that I worked on last year (while waiting for Tears of the Kingdom of course), I was still pretty new to digital art at the time so the rendering isn't the best and something I continue to practice.

But I always loved how story driven and powerful Skyward Sword was and that might still be my favorite iteration of Zelda in the series. I still get a little teary eyed when Zelda tells Link, "While it's true that I am Hylia reborn, I'm still my father's daughter and your friend... I am still your Zelda." Ugh. My heart lol

Thinking about the fact that it's a gameplay mechanic to pray to Hylia and wondering if that makes Link some kind of fantasy world equivalent of catholic and then the possible strangeness/spiritual conflict that could come with that when Zelda is basically god herself and what it means to communicate with Hylia when Zelda is a dragon, what it means to have lost the most important person to you for the sake of a holy weapon to use in a war between gods

A little sneak peek into chapter one of Year 4 (Swords), that high school AU fanfic I'm working on. The document is accidentally 38 pages long and it's just the prologue (granted, it is all written in text message format).

This is just one of my favorite interactions so far, though it's lacking all context.

This is a snippet from like, around the middle half of the chapter. Everyone's usernames (hopefully obvious who is who) will roughly stay like this from this point onward, though they were slightly different at the start.

The timestamps on the messages are to give an indication of how much time is passing and when the messages are sent. I don't personally use military time, but for the sake of clarity, I'm using it to differentiate between am and pm. Their conversation is happening super early in the morning.

This whole fic started as dialogue practice and it just spiraled from there. Feel free to share your thoughts with me!!

hi hi! Remember how I said I'd go through the timeline boys? Well here we are!

Im gonna have a rant about the feathers under the cut :)

Since there's like barely any worldbuilding in Skyward Sword, I made up a silly lil headcanon cuz i think it's fun.

So, basically, with how loftwings are called the people's "other half" I thought that it would be a cute culture thing for a partnership or marital headpiece to involve the smaller feathers from each of their loftwings, y'know, as a sort of "i love every part of you" kinda deal. And maybe because a lot of them work with their hands either in their work or riding said loftwings, it might hold the ring or a gem that would've originally been placed on the ring.

I dunno, i just think it's a cute idea in case anyone asks why I always draw him with the feathers...

I realized after posting it to the Discord that I had essentially posted the version marked final and not finalFINAL lol. There's not huge differences, just where I put my signature and a few panels with Hylia's face are lighter, so I'm not too worried about it.
