Who is the most affectionate? It's close, but Seiroku wins by a tiiiny margin. Soma is very affectionate too, but he's still getting used to being allowed to be that way, which means it comes just a teensy little bit harder to him than it does to Seiroku.

Who initiates the handholding? Soma. Seiroku does it sometimes too, but considering Soma's reputation and title, Seiroku usually lets Soma choose when it's fine to hold hands in public and when it isn't. In private though, it's totally a tie.

Who worries more for the other? Soma. He is THE worrywart ever, and with how much he cares for Seiroku... Seiroku could catch a mild cold and Soma would already be worrying himself (and everyone else around) sick. Anything worse than that and he's likely to turn to dust faster than Seiroku who, in that scenario, would be the one actually suffering from an illness/injury/etc. That stunt in which Seiroku bled out in front of him before Soma knew of his obsidian heart's healing properties is still plaguing his nightmares to this day, even though they've since won the war and there isn't anything left in Hi no Moto which could threaten Seiroku's life ever again.

Who is more likely to ask for help? Neither of them is the type to ask for help. They're both the sort to either handle it themselves, or realize ahead of time when the other needs help and hurry to aid them before the other ever gets to the point in which they'd have to ask verbally. So, a tie.

Who is the one always losing the keys? Neither! Soma can't afford to lose them considering every key he owns is for an incredibly important or valuable place, and Seiroku isn't an airheaded man who would ever lose anything. The keys are safe with the both of them!

Who leaves little love notes for the other? Seiroku started this habit, and Soma promptly started imitating it. Nowadays they both leave love notes for each other- Soma mostly in the mornings when he has to leave for work while Seiroku is still asleep, and Seiroku whenever he gets a break/free day while Soma is keeping busy at work.

Who can’t sleep unless the other is there? I'd say both again. They're both traumatized in very similar ways; suffering from PTSD and from a long history of having been denied love, care and attention, so they both need the other around to sleep well. They can fall asleep alone, but it's only around each other that the nightmares they indubitably get every few nights can truly be soothed. If they're alone and they wake up from a nightmare, they can't fall asleep again; whereas if they're together, the other's presence helps rid them of any anxieties and allows them to have a restful sleep again despite that unfortunate jumpscare.

Who is more likely to propose to the other? Soma. He locked in INCREDIBLY fast, proposing not even a year into their relationship. He knows what he wants and is the type to head straight for it, especially when it comes to something as important as marriage. Besides, Seiroku is perfect in his eyes. He could never even imagine slacking off and allowing Seiroku to get married to someone else if he can help it; he would rather get killed by an oni than ever have that happen!

Who introduced the other to their family first? Well, both of their families are dead, so neither. But if you apply "family" to "close affiliations" then Soma introduced Seiroku to the Date first, and Seiroku introduced Soma to the Obsidian Eight later. That said, only the former knew they're in a relationship at the time, whereas the black dogs found out after Soma had been a part of their group for some time and assumed this was a very recent development considering Seiroku's hatred for bushi and Soma's hatred for black dogs.

Who is more likely to play with the other’s hair? Both enjoy doing so, but Soma really likes having his hair played with no matter the context he finds himself in (in his sleep, while talking casually, when Seiroku tries to soothe his nerves, during suggestive moments etc) so Seiroku wins this rounds by a large margin.

Who makes sure the other has meals/stays hydrated? Again both, but Soma wins this one because he's awake whenever the meals are taking place, and therefore goes out of his way to ensure Seiroku has at least three meals a day even on the days in which his schedule is messed up enough to make him unable to join the lines for food, or in which he's tired enough to opt for more sleep over eating food. Despite the competitive nature of breakfast, lunch and dinner-time at the Date, Soma always makes sure there will be a healthy portion left for Seiroku to eat at his leisure at all of these intervals. Plus, if somehow something goes wrong and there is no food left for him, trust that Soma will personally head over to order the chefs to go back to work solely to cook something up for Seiroku.

Who is more likely to stand up to anyone for the other? Both, but Soma wins this round because he is very aggressive in doing so, and allows for absolutely no foolhardy remarks to ever be made towards, to, or about Seiroku. If anyone were to, God Forbid, insult Seiroku (much less in front of him), Soma wouldn't hesitate to cut their tongue off right then and there, and that's the mildest punishment he can think of delivering for an offense as grave as this.

Who is the most likely to prepare a surprise for the other? Both, but Soma has made a tradition out of this, so it's only fair that he wins the competition! It's also a bit of an unfair win because Soma has more resources and people at his disposal to make his surprises come to life, whereas Seiroku's surprises are mostly handmade or done solo/with very few people helping him; which means they take longer, so Soma has more time to pamper Seiroku with surprise after surprise while Seiroku is busy with one at a time.

Who makes the other pinky promise not to do certain things? Seiroku, mostly because around Soma he still possesses a tinge of innocence, which allows him to be less serious about these things (in this case, about pinky promises) than Soma is. Soma goes along with the pinky promises for Seiroku specifically, but he would never be the one to initiate them.

Who puts a blanket over the other when they fall asleep on the couch? Both, but since Seiroku is usually asleep for longer/at times when Soma is typically awake, Soma has the privilege of covering Seiroku with a blanket far more often than the other way around.

Soma's eyes remain trained on the inhuman being, rigorously following each of its (...his?) movements with practiced composure until the creature draws closer to the ship. He remains motionless while watching the other and only once the siren's first hand appears within the captain's sight do his muscles stiffen, uncertain about what is to follow. He doubts that a siren's raw strength is enough to crack the glass (or rather, he hopes it isn't) thus dooming them to a miserable sinkage without a single viable method of revolting against their dreary fate, but rarely do ships survive a siren attack and thus, much to Soma's dismay, while he can attempt to estimate the creature's strength by human standards based on its appearance... he cannot be sure of any of his conclusions. Do their bodies even work in a similar fashion for an analysis of this sort to provide accurate results? For all they know, this puny body swimming on the other side of the glass could be enough to sink them with the equivalent of a tail whip, and Soma cannot say he wishes to find out if that truly is the case or not.

The captain's thoughts are interrupted by a recognizable movement, and his eyes widen in surprise at the siren's unexpected knowledge of human behavior. Is he... waving at him? Curiosity and unease join hands to double in response to this troubling realization, with the latter causing the frown on Soma's face to deepen significantly. This complicates things. If the siren is as familiarized with human signals as to mimic them in the proper context (telling him hi... is he mocking them?) it means there have been enough crews sailing through these waters for their body language to be learned even by sea-lurking beings. But where are those ships now? Perhaps the Uminyudo simply hasn't received the opportunity to come across them on the seas nor encounter any of its sailors at the taverns, yet he suspects that even if that were the case their stories describing such a striking creature's appearance would have flown far and wide enough for at least someone in his crew to hear of them. There have been no mentions of anything looking like this stranger presently eyeing his ship. A subtle grimace accompanies what the captain deems to be the likelier outcome then... and he figures the crew of those unfortunate ships have all been lost at sea, courtesy of no other than the man-eater currently warmly welcoming Soma into his territory. Great.

Apparently no longer finding Soma's chambers worthwhile, the other's gaze returns to meet his own, and something about this endeavor feels off. He has glanced Soma's way several times since noticing his existence, and yet... it might just be his nerves, but this time he can swear there is a tint of mischief lurking in those blue eyes, incomparable to the pure inquisitiveness from earlier. There is no time to ponder on the abrupt change before Soma watches his tail swish once, and it suddenly propels the siren's whole body upwards. The unexpected move leaves Soma agape for a fleeting moment before he forces himself to get it together and rushes back upstairs towards the open deck. Though he cannot tell exactly why while heading up the stairs, the side of the ship Soma is on vibrates slightly when the siren earnestly deadlocks onto its outer casting, and his chest begins to host a great sense of unrest. Nothing pleasant surfaces in his mind, far too many nasty possibilities to account for, and the yelps of his crew echoing upstairs don't do much in the way of calming his nerves either. Did that bastard attack them?

Crimson eyes turn to look at the sea first thing as soon as he reaches the deck, an attempt at observing whether any of the screams were due to one of their friends falling or being dragged overboard, but no sooner does the gentle sway of the waves notify him of no such calamity that Soma glances over at the shocked crew he can see, mentally counting each of them until the full-count matches that of how many members he knows there are in total. He cannot relax right now, but a fleeting wave of relief does briefly wash over him. However, although it would have been gratifying for it to last longer, the exasperated 'c-c-captain!' call compels him to look towards the source— a crewmate, trembling while gaping at what, from Soma's perspective, seems to be the sea... but it cannot be the sea that shakes a pirate, and there is only one other possibility besides that. The damned siren.

With a solemn wave of his arm, Soma issues an order for everyone aboard to back off, while he himself advances towards the spot he's noticed his crewmate being fixated on. As expected, vermillion eyes meet the blue pair again once he steps close enough to catch a glimpse of the intruder, and it seems the siren has decided to become their worst stowaway thus far. Remaining at a safe distance (nowhere is safe from their songs, but at least this far should be plenty for their other forms of attack), the captain stares at the brunette again, the frown adorning his face now being moreso of irritation than shock. Still, he does nothing to provoke Seiroku. Proud as Soma may be, a fool he is not. Their only weapons are ōdachi, and conveniently advantageous as they might be in a fight against fellow humans, there isn't much they can do in fending off a threat whose activity is mainly underwater. Even the mightiest swordsman's slash would fall flat against the pressure of the water, and Soma is not some sort of idiot who would mindlessly assume that he, nor any of his crew, would stand a chance in underwater combat when their opponent is a creature whose home is the water.

Though loathing the sense of helplessness creeping in, because Soma is certain that should they show any hostility towards the siren, casualties would become inevitable; the captain chooses to hide any such apprehension and antagonism beneath his practiced stern exterior... and attempt to talk with the peculiar creature despite his common sense warning him against the idea. It isn't as if he has many options to choose from, so he might as well try it. Does the other even understand human language? He likely possesses intelligence if he was able to imitate human behavior, but what of verbal communication? Is it possible to interact with these accursed beings at all, or shall this attempt end in an utter failure? ❛ What... are you doing. ❜ It doesn't come off quite as kindly as it should've, but Soma cannot help the slight turn of annoyance his tone takes when he gazes down at the claws currently close to tearing apart a few chunks of his beloved ship to uphold the stowaway's weight. Calm down. An eyebrow twitches, but that's the end of it. The pressure in Soma's shoulders is willed away to make him appear more composed, and his gaze never once strays from the beautiful stowaway. Not because of any sort of attraction, but to ensure that no unexpected dangers shall befall his men with this siren as their cause.

HUMANS DON'T COME HERE VERY OFTEN. They had, once upon a time, ventured into these chillier waters, but that had long since ceased. Too many lost ships ; whether humans believed it sirens or sea serpents or , as of late, simply some NATURAL PHENOMENA. ( It makes Seiroku scoff because he is as natural as the jagged rocks that ships crash upon or the whirlpools. He is no less natural just because he isn't HUMAN. ) But they do not venture here often. It makes today's surprise all the more appealing when a lone ship dares to cross into his territory. And it is HIS. Which means this ship and its crew and whatever else it carries is also his, naturally.

His to play with, his to keep, his to eat - if he wishes.

The deep abyss of the ocean offers plenty of room for him to approach the ship, black tail cutting through the water as he merely observes for a little bit. He observes, and circles, watching weary humans sluggishly move. WEAK. VULNERABLE. The storms must have taken a toll. He's always found it rather funny how they venture to somewhere so dangerous. They can't breathe underwater even a little bit! But then he sees movement and curiosity draws him closer to the - glass ? He's heard someone once call the shiny-clear object as such. They drink from shapes of glass, and they use it sometimes in ships too. How strange. But it lets him see in and THAT makes Seiroku think he likes this glass stuff. He darts around a quick sweep and then sees one of them has VENTURED CLOSER. Brave sailor. Seiroku stops in front of the window of this human.

He tilts his head, black hair floating ethereally around him as he observes this human. Hunger is a weak thing for now - at least for flesh when his curiosity and desire for entertainment is so much greater. He swims closer and this human neither tries to run and scream or throw himself overboard to join him nor rush to attack. ( Sometimes Seiroku doesn't even need to sing - which is humorous and stupid. ) HE'S JUST STARING.

Seiroku swims even closer, until he's right in front of the window, until a clawed hand can reach up and touch the smooth surface. DOESN'T TRY TO BREAK IT, just studies it and then studies the human. His other hand lifts and the waves - a mimicry of human behavior just as much as human song. His black eyes flick around the room behind the human and the strange objects - some he recognizes and many he doesn't.

This won't do though. Observing is only fun for a short time. Seiroku needs to give a little push to get what he wants. Which is fine, all the PREDATORS of the sea do the same thing.

Seiroku looks back to make eye contact with the human, and then abruptly moves upwards, claws digging into the wood of the ship. Not damaging, not attacking. LATCHING ONTO THE SHIP. His claws are more used to flesh than wood, but it's easy enough to be able to use his claws to stay on the side of the boat. That, and he's done it plenty of times. Some sirens like to only stay in the water - to eat and let that be all. Seiroku has far more fun TOYING and LEARNING before his boredom inevitably leads to a gory slaughter. He's curious how long this group will entertain him.

Well, this had him a tiny bit stunned as of late. But in the way that Soma came to him for romantic relations than, say, Miss Hakuba. Those two seemed to be much closer for this than he would himself, and he of course never thought of himself ever being a target for Soma's affections this way.

So now here he is, holding a bouquet of roses, chocolates and a small, clear plastic box with a velvet ribbon tied around it. Roses, chocolates, and lovely white strawberries. All of that seemed standard and wouldn't set off any vampiric reactions as far as he can tell.

"I believe this is the part where I ask you if you'd like to go steady." Genya states after being invited inside to set everything in front of or handed directly to the young man. Does anyone ever say it like that anymore? Perhaps he is mildly behind the times, if the fact that he still has a VCR nearby and the year and make of his car outside is any indicator of this...

born and raised in montréal, to two second-generation japanese-canadian immigrants, who introduced him to hockey by enrolling him into an afterschool program. like most younger siblings, it started with him tagging along on his older sisters' lessons ( caleb is the youngest of three !! ) and falling in love with the sport himself.

it quickly became apparent that caleb had a talent for hockey that was hard to ignore, and at the encouragement of his coach he joined the usa hockey national developmental program. but as much as his parents wanted to encourage caleb's ambitions, becoming a professional athlete seemed ... like too much too soon and they wanted him to have the option to fall back on something safer. honestly, caleb agreed. as a compromise, he applied to college on a sports scholarship, played for two seasons for his college, set a few records, and was signed by an nhl team by the conclusion of his sophomore season.

he's done well for himself on his current team, and was made captain a few years ago. so why berry ? well, he's realized ( through talking to his siblings + friends ) that his entire life revolves around hockey ... and maybe it's worth branching out for the remainder of his twenties. i also see him as someone who maybe joined the cast through a mutual friend who was also cast for the show .. aka lucille so potential wc there for those who are interested !

what you see is what you get with him. to people he first meets, he can kind of.. comes across as cold/intense but once you realize he just says what he means and doesn’t have a manipulative bone in his body, he’s easy to warm up to. it's one of those things where his nhl teammates and his older siblings would never describe him as stoic .. but while he does have people skills he's also ,,, lowkey shy lmao. his job requires him not to be ... but take him off the ice and it starts to show.

growing up, he wasn't exactly a celebrity in the traditional sense but he was always ... popular ? it was always known within his community that the youngest sugawara was a hockey prodigy, and that training and competing professionally and on a national / international ( junior ) stage were why he would miss school / community events / birthday parties. so while his childhood was .... more "normal" than a child star's ... but still had its quirks — he had a mostly superficial bond with kids in school who would only try to befriend him for his talent / incoming fame, but he also didn't have to deal with having famous parents or paparazzi following his every move as a preteen etc etc. but yeah ! growing up / while in school, he's always been "popular".

first impressions matter to him. i wouldn't say you're screwed forever if you make a bad first impression, but he is the type to ... factor things like that into consideration. along a similar vein, he can be particular about doing things in a certain way ( + fairly meticulous / neat ), though he's shared his space with others enough when he was younger that he also knows when to let things go.

As someone who suffers a chronical illness that has no cure, Shiromi simply lives her life as wanderer without a single care although she's cunning, she doesn't mind the consequences of her actions as long as they are on her favor.

For this update, we’d like to announce that we have reworded our stance on “Characters from upcoming games”, as well as our spoiler window!

Before, it was that any character from a game that was “Unfinished” would have to wait until the game was finished for you to apply them, but upon further discussion with members, we concluded that this was a bit too much, so, now

You are allowed to apply characters from games that are in “Early Access” (As much as you could if a show’s season isn’t over!), so long as they have a characterization or plot that is set in stone and is unlikely to change! Basically, if the character has enough to work with, you’re good!

Though, if a character is mysterious with a backstory that is largely made up by headcanons or fan interpretation, we ask that you wait until there is much more to work with! (An example of this would be Kris and Ralsei from Deltarune, there’s quite a lot about them that we don’t know...)

And in the case of a character taking a shocking left turn, please look into updating them, or making them canon divergent! <:

And secondly, we would like to revise our stance on “Spoiler characters”, essentially, from now on, a month wait is enough for most characters that are considered spoilers (Minor to Moderate), after a month has passed since a game’s release or a spoiler episode, you should be good...

Unless they are considered a “Walking Spoiler”, a massive spoiler of a character that can change the flow of a story and who’s mere existence is a spoiler in itself. For that, you’ll likely be waiting 2 months or more, and the mod team will review if it’s ok for that character to be played, given how they may spoil something for people joining!

Over all, it’s much more of a case-by-case basis now, we may even shorten the wait time to apply characters from a new IP to two weeks! But, for now, we hope this results in many new and interesting characters joining us!

For other updates, we’re hoping to have posts up about some of the changes we’ve made to Elsternwick, including the Job System (Pretty simple!), an update to our wording on the ban list, and a few other fun surprises, and we hope you’ll look forward to reading about them!

RELATIONSHIPS  — TALK ABOUT THE MUSE

NAME: i feel like this makes more sense to do it with hermes as opposed to fandaniel, so i’ll fill it out for him instead of the funny jester. sorry amon

ROMANTIC ORIENTATION: bisexual biromantic PREFERRED PET NAMES: ugh he’d be that type of guy to come up with the worst most extravagant pet names like “morning dove” or whatever. probably animal related. immediately gets embarrassed about it and regrets it but still does it every so often.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS: needs therapy

FAVOURITE CANON SHIP: n/a FAVOURITE NON-CANON SHIP: i don’t really ship him with anyone honestly. hermes/azem can be easily attainable depending on how someone writes them though, like they’re vague for a reason lol.

i could also see hermes/hyth and maybe like post-memory wipe even hermes/emet (although they’d have a LOT to work through given how emet sees his duty as the greatest gift one can have and hermes does............not. but since the memory wipe gets rid of a lot of that tension between them, i could see it in this scenario. oh could you imagine the potential for a fandaniel emet reunion with this though. that kinda rules)

OPINION ON TRUE LOVE: oh god does he want it to be real so bad but feels like a child for believing in it OPINION ON LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT: another thing he wants to believe in really badly but is less inclined towards as opposed to the concept of true love. likes it in books and whatnot, but doesn’t think it’s something that can happen in real life.

HOW ROMANTIC ARE THEY?: he would get much too flustered to actually achieve anything of real “romantic” merit, i think. he’s much better with smaller yet meaningful gestures.

IDEAL PHYSICAL TRAITS: i don’t think hermes would have much of a preference. IDEAL PERSONALITY TRAITS: someone who can simply understand him. hermes spends so much of his time believing he is isolated in his feelings that being able to work through them with someone is probably the best thing someone can offer for him. i think he would also like to be pushed out of his comfort zone a little bit. but they would need to know when to back off as well

Hey, uh idk if I asked this already but can you do a Hatsuharu x Reader based on episode 4 season 2 of Fruits Basket? Because, in that episode Hatsuharu had his meltdown. But instead of him having a meltdown because of Rin it’s because you two and dating and had an argument? And uhm basically instead of him grabbing Tohru, he grabs you. You really understand Hatsuharu's relationship with Rin. Maybe, a little too much. You were there for him afterall, helping him cope up with her behaviour, letting him cry on you, you supported Hatsuharu. You love him.

You grew to love him just by being together with him was enough for you so when Hatsuharu confessed he too, fell for you, you couldn't believe it, until his lips touched yours, cloud of smoke blinded your eye, laughing as you stared at his Ox form.

You knew Hatsuharu would need a lot of time to fully move on from Rin so you were okay with letting Hatsuharu settle the phase for your relationship.

Lately, Hatsuharu has been spending less time with you to take care of Rin who once again, escaped from the hospital. You didn't mind how he would abruptly go to her side, you didn't mind how he called you to cancel your plans with a short apology, you didn't mind if he kept choosing her over you.

That is before you reached your tipping point.

When Hatsuharu went back to your shared apartment, he really just wanted to sleep. Rin's words continued to ring in his ear, he is beyond exhaustion. He is not in the right state to hear your complaints.

"So, I just want to have your time! I bought us some tickets to th-" "God, can you just please shut up!"

Hatsuharu glared at you, slamming his bag across the room. Your throat suddenly became dry, hands balled into a fist. Hatsuharu immediately wanted to punch himself for bursting on you like that, he was just so annoyed but even he, himself knew it was not a good excuse.

"(y/n)..." He fumbled on his words, what can he say in a situation like this? He wanted to comfort you, his hands were shaking. Wiping the tears from your eyes, you walked passed him and entered the bedroom, leaving Hatsuharu to contemplate on his actions.

"Fuck.." He clicked his tongue.

Hatsuharu grabbed a bottle of water and drank to calm himself down. When he heard the door opened, he turned around and was ready to apologise but his eyes trailed to the duffel bag you were carrying.

"Where are you going?" He questioned softly, even if he already knew the answer. He was hoping it wasn't what he was thinking. "Away." You smiled at him, masking your emotions like you always did.

"Let's break up, Haru. No, Sohma-kun." Hatsuharu's eyes widened, speechless. You took his silence as a que to leave. Mustering up all your strength, you grabbed the doorknob, twisting it to open the door. Hatsuharu acted fast, he slammed the door close, trapping you against it.

"No. You're not going anywhere! C-Can't we fix this?" His voice cracked, he can't let you leave him. You were the only one who understood him, only one who accepted him as a whole! "Please...(y/n)..." Tears streamed down his face, the sight of him broke you more, you had to be strong. Cupping his face, you wiped his tears, trying to soothe him.

"I'm sorry Haru. You kept on choosing her and I kept on choosing you." Biting your lip, you kissed his forehead, Hatsuharu melted against your touch.

"Let me choose myself this time."

Hatsuharu felt like time slowed down as you slipped away from his grasp.

The door closed and he broked down.

He hasn't heard from you for a week.

It was difficult to be away from him, everything just screamed for you to go back and wrap your arms around him. You stayed with Kyo for the mean time, telling them that your apartment was undergoing a few construction and Hatsuharu decided to stay at the main state.

They really didn't question you a lot, you were that good at lying and hiding plus they are your friends too. You continued on with your life, trying to distract yourself. You were currently asked to bring some materials to Tohru's room. "Oh, (y/n)! That looks heavy!" She mused, standing up to help you settle the materials on the teacher's desk.

You stayed for a while, laughing at how they teased Kyo with Tohru. Sometimes you just want to smack the two at how oblivious these two are to their feelings. Seeing them, reminded you of Hatsuharu. Your heart dropped, spacing out of the window, you wondered if he's doing well.

There's something off about the day, you just felt anxious, like something bad is going to happen.

"Oh, Haru turned dark and is currently on a rampage during the homeroom!" Momiji grinned. "What? Why didn't you say earlier!?" You and the others dashed out of the room, bumping towards several people.

You could hear him breaking the windows, the other students and teacher were ourside frightened. You entered the room, everything was a mess.

Kyo immediately tried to talk some sense into him. "Shut up stupid cat. You're very existence causes trouble for us, all! Stupid cat!" His remarked annoyed Kyo immediately.

"Haru, I don't know why you're causing a rampage, but you shouldn't do that here." Hatsuharu clicked his tongue. You knew this was your fault, you knew why he was angry. Seeing him at this state, made you doubt if your decision was right. "Princess Yuki is such a worry-wart. Afraid I'll accidentally transform on my rampage?" His eyes met yours, a frown replacing his smirk.

"What? You're here? How lame." You stepped closer, hands up in surrender. "Haru, stop it. Calm down." Your voice angered him even more. "Stupid. Stupid. So damn, stupid! You're so twitchy, you'll feel a lot better if everyone would know." He reached out to you, grabbing your arm roughly.

"H-Haru...it hurts..." His grip around you tightened, pulling you closer until Kyo punched him. "I don't care what's your problem but is that how you should treat your girl?!" Kyo placed you behind him, shielding you from Hatsuharu.

"What's it to you? She's not my girl anymore." Hatsuharu's words struck you, you felt yourself losing your composure. "Oh I see. You went for the kitty cat didn't you? I shou-" You cut him off with a slap. His cheeks immediately became swollen, everyone stood shocked at the scene. "Enough, Haru..." You walked out of the room, eyes following you everywhere.

Your steps became faster as the time passed, slowly turning into a full sprint. You didn't know where you were going, you just wanted to get out of there.

The teacher managed to settle the issue down by pouring water to both of them, calming Hatsuharu in a snap. After some counselling, Hatsuharu met up with the others, apologizing for his behavior before noticing you were not there. "Where's (y/n)?" He managed to choke out, it was clear to them that he was very anxious.

"She ran out and we haven't seen her since earlier." Tohru answered, fidgeting, not knowing how he would react.

Hatsuharu excused himself, wanting to look for you. You couldn't have gotten that far, he knows you enough to know where you would go. He reached the door to the rooftop, staring at it blankly. You were crying, he was sure of it, so why can't he just open the damn door?

He was scared.

Scared of what you would say to him, scared to lose you more.

"Triple shit." He cussed, letting the door open, hands shielding his eyes from bright rays. He immediately saw you sitting down, music blasting through your phone.

Your eyes were closed but you knew he was there, a shadow loomed over you. You refused to open your eyes, you too were afraid.

Is this what happens when you fall inlove? Is this what love really is? To be afraid of one another yet still want to cling to one another even knowing the fact that they can hurt you anytime?

Hatsuharu doesn't care about anything anymore, he can't let you go, he could never let you go. You were more important to him, he was just selfish. He couldn't let go of the past but he wants a presen and a future with you.

Hatsuharu is more than willing to put his past behind and put you first, that's what he realised during those days of solitude.

He grabbed your arm, pulling you closer to him, still being wary of not hugging you to close in order to prevent himself from transforming despite how startled you were. "Haru...?" You whispered, hands automatically finding its way around his body.

"Ah, I know now.." He smiled, enjoying the way your body tangled. "Home. I never realised it before. (y/n), you're my home." He buried his head against your neck, letting himself succumb to your scent.

"I'm sorry. I'm so fucking sorry for not being a good boyfriend. I know, I don't deserve you but you can count on me to make me deserve you, if you let me. Will you let me back?" You stared at him, nodding softly, before leaning in for a kiss.

Hatsuharu pulled you closer, his hand behind your head, deepening the kiss. It was desperate but passionate, the two of you missed each other. You love him, even if it hurts.

But is it really love if it doesn't hurt at all?

Your back was against the concrete, Hatsuharu straddled you, pinning you down as he continued to place kissed along your neck. "H-Haru! We can't do this he-ahh." Smirking upon seeing the purple hue on your neck, you smacked his chest. "But (y/n), let me show you how much I love you." He pouted, why did he have to be cute. Your fingeres played with his two-colored hair, you're really an idiot to this idiot.

"Yeah, yeah. Save it in closed doors will 'ya?" You stiffened, seeing Kyo and Yuki in the other side with a small tint of pink dusted on their cheeks. You immediately became flustered unlike Hatsuharu who calmly complained. "You guys are a cockblocker."

Tohru peered in, confused at why they are standing si stiffly. "Kyo? Yuki? Did you find the-" "IDIOT! DON'T LOOK!"

Hatsuharu had to leave to continue talking with his parents. He got suspended for a week while you were "sick" for a week as well.

Hatsuharu made it up to you for a whole week, assuring you that you will now be his first choice. You didn't have to worry about Rin anymore becuase everytime he needed to visit her, it was with you. He would always shield you if things became a little complicated, covering your ears when she said spiteful words, making me drag you out. That was the last time he visited Rin.

Now he's very clingy to you! Devoting his time and energy to you and only you. "(y/n), why are you too close with Yuki. I don't like it." Hatsuharu held you close, glaring at Yuki who just let out a sigh.

most of my muses who experience romantic attraction prefer monogamy by default — all my muses are just me in a hat, and i’m very much built for monogamy.  so it’s faster to just talk thru exceptions than anything else!

daria is monogamous in the traditional sense, but does not consider sleeping with or going on dates with clients cheating, and would be put off by a partner who asked that she quit her work.  (  she’d only quit if she was with a long - term partner who was very well - off and could support her, and that’s going to take a year, if not more.  giving up her source of income is dangerous and gives another power over her that she needs a lot of trust for.  )  in the same way, she doesn’t care if a partner who’s a sex wo.rker continues to sleep with clients, but would feel betrayed if they slept with or dated others for non - work reasons.  i only mention her because i know some people feel differently about whether sex wo.rk based stuff is cheating or not.  (  it isn’t, but y’know.  )

aika is not monogamous by default, though will be monogamous if asked by a partner assuming she doesn’t have any other partners.  reapers typically have multiple partners, so that’s what feels intuitive to her.  that being said, aika’s romantic vibes are such that she typically has multiple fuckbuddies and a few poor boys she’s leading on, versus her having multiple actual partners.  not because she doesn’t want real partners!  she’s just selfish, so by default most of her relationships start as a using versus anything likely to lead to more.  (  it doesn’t help that people overwhelmingly love the idea of aika and put her on a pedestal that she detests.  )

august is open to trying polyamory at some point, though thinks of himself as monogamous — but they’ve never tried anything else, so he can’t say for sure at this point.  

elodie doesn’t mind partners sleeping with other people so long as she’s informed but does not want partners actually dating others.  find others sexy?  fine.  but don’t fall in love with anyone else.

soma doesn’t know what monogamy is.  it’s very intuitive to soma to blend romantic and platonic feelings; in main verse, she’s very in love with both yakumo and io, and considers themself to be partnered to both, even if not explicitly romantically.  that being said, if she and someone are explicitly romantically dating, she will not attempt to romantically date others, though usually won’t care if a partner does.  if you want her to be in a romantic relationship with you and another person, you have to invite her directly.

nami thinks she’s polyamorous but is actually super monogamous.  she’s just never had a chance to have a monogamous relationship, and when she’s gotten close it was always rooted in control and abuse so that’s what she associates monogamy with.  get her in a healthy relationship and watch her be like Holy Shit????

mostly unrelated but while we’re talking shipping, fiona, alice, and angela are all functionally ace / aro.  with all of them, this is at least partly informed by trauma.  fiona is the only one i could see this really changing for at current, and she’s still likely to remain sex - repulsed even longer than she remains uninterested in romance — which is a long time.  if such a time came that fiona could date, she’d be monogamous, though.

I love Lindow to death, he was one of my favorite characters in God Eater (still is next to Soma). I would love to explore his relationship with Setsuna during GE1 and afterwards (especially considering Setsu’s mental state in GE1 isn’t exactly good otl).

@yeonban Soma has this sudden itch to break Naoe's kneecaps for some reason NAOTORA on the other hand gets it. he too would be visibly disgusted (more likely concerned) if not for Soma glaring holes into him
