Jezilia knew her father had to be looking for her right now, but she didn't care. She had been playing this game of 'disappearing for hours on end to visit one particular boy' for years now, and she wasn't going to stop now. She didn't mind the punishment she would receive as long as it meant meeting with Ajax again--especially given how easy it was to meet with him now that he was in the Fatui.

So, tucked away in a small shelter from the blizzard outside, the two teenage Fatui soldiers were caught in a deep kiss. Jezilia couldn't help but notice how this was leagues better than any sort of training with her father... Here with Ajax, she finally felt alive, like she was human instead of some weapon for her father to use.

She felt the redhead lightly bit and tug at her lower lip, causing Jezilia to chuckle lowly and run her fingers through his copper hair. "You'll have to...bite harder than that...to get a reaction out of me~..." she teased in a low whisper against his lips.

It was rare for Jezilia to smile given her typically emotionless nature, but seeing how Ajax grinned brightly at his handiwork and called it his best, she couldn’t help but smile just the tiniest bit. It made her happy to see him so pleased. Was this what it’s like to have friends? Jezilia didn’t know. She was always surrounded by adults, so she didn’t actually have any other friends her age. Or any friends at all, for that matter… So she liked seeing Ajax so happy, especially if that joy was connected to her in some way.

The smile faded when he asked her to help him, the girl giving a quick nod as she set down her cup and began collecting pillows to take inside. These were very light—it was hardly a task at all. So, she carried the pillows into the fort and set them down before looking around the dark space. She really liked this, actually… It was dark and cozy, two things that brought her a lot of comfort. And once Ajax came inside the fort, she had everything that made her happy right here. Once again, the girl smiled softly.

Jezilia pulled her knees to her chest—she was taller than Ajax, so she didn’t want to take up too much space—and nodded her head in response to his question. The books Ajax’s parents bought for him were always interesting stories of adventure. They must be the reasoning behind his adventurous nature.

Despite how strange the little girl may seem, it was plain to see that Ajax wanted to still impress her, his excitement more than enough to give him the extra boost that was needed to finish pushing the fort into place, jumping down from the bed as he finished placing the last of the blankets, taking a step back to study his work, the small boy beaming with pride. "Ah! This has to be one of the best I've managed to make!", he proudly proclaimed, turning to point at the nearby pillows he'd tossed to one side. "Just help me carry those inside, then we're done!". Though, what could they play inside the fort? It could be difficult to think on games to play with Jezillia at times, but Ajax wanted her to have fun - he rather enjoyed making her smile and always seemed to feel warmer whenever he was able to make her smile too! He didn't quite understand why her family seemed so different from his own, but he hoped that by her coming here, it was a break from the constant stress that she seemed to always be under.

???—No Longer Accepting

Ajax has always been so much to her. Her friend, companion, safe place… The world felt right when she was with him. Jezilia grew up being nothing more than a weapon for someone else to wield, but with him, she was just a normal girl. It didn’t seem like much, but to her, it was worth more than anything in the world. He saw her as Lia rather than Jezilia, the weapon her father was creating. 

Ajax had always been there for her, and now, he suddenly understood her. She didn’t know what changed in him to suddenly be as bloodthirsty as she was, and she did mourn the boy he once was, but now...things were different. Whereas before his presence simply made her happy, there was something else there now. Whenever they crossed paths within the Fatui, her attention was always driven to him--and not simply because he was her friend and she knew him. Something ignited in her chest when she saw him in action...And even when they were simply spending time together, there was a tightness, a warmth, that wasn’t there before.

“You’d be the only one...” the teen replied with a soft chuckle. It was getting harder and harder for her to put up with her father. As Ajax said, her father found her intolerable... Everyone did, for that matter, but she didn’t care. She didn’t give a damn about how any of them felt about her. All that mattered was... She looked back at Ajax. “...I tolerate you too.” After all, many thought the redhead to be intolerable as well. “We can tolerate each other when no one else will...” Lia extended her pinky to him. “...promise?”

Garth had a point, but Lia didn't want to see him suffer the life she once knew. Those empty, defeated eyes... She knew them all too well. And while she never seemed like the warmest person in Mondstadt, in her own way, she was happy. Lia had spent her whole life worrying about only herself...but now that she had someone else to care about, she wanted him to be happy as well.

"I know people who can help us hide... If the Fatui does know I'm here, I could go into hiding with you. I have connections... The people who helped me hide could do the same for you. We could disappear and move somewhere else...a small town, not a city like this one." Maybe then he could actually be happy.

Lia sighed, closing her eyes. She knew that it would be difficult, if not near impossible. And maybe things really have changed since she left... "...We can't know unless we try. I just... I know that you are suffering in this life... We could at least talk to my connections. Don't you want to at least try to have some freedom..?" Spoken like a true Mondstatian...

Garth was too easy to read, even though Lia wasn't actually trying to read him. She noticed the way he smiled at the start, seeming happy that Lia had planned to spend the day with him. But then she noticed how the gears in his head turned, causing him to seem nervous--especially with how he fumbled with the bag in his grip as well as the nervous laugh that accompanied it. Even so, this was pretty much the reaction she was expecting to receive.

"Windrise sounds nice..." she replied with a soft smile. Lia was hoping to relieve some of his nervousness, but honestly, she didn't have the slightest idea of how. She wasn't used to even being around other people, much less trying to comfort them. Her usual demeanor made people uneasy, so it was difficult for her to try to help someone relax. They were both a little helpless in this regard, but they were learning, she supposed.

"...Let's head that way then." Hopefully it would be an easy walk, one without any enemies jumping out at them. But Lia was ready for anything.

Oh? He hadn't been asleep yet, which was why his commissions for the day had already done, but now he was wondering as to how early it was that Lia woke up, and why? Was he thinking too much about it? Because he felt as though she'd went of her way to make sure they could spend the day together, and he couldn't quite stop the smile that formed from such a thought. But where to take her? Should this be considered a date? What did one do on a date? Now he was overthinking and making himself feel rather nervous, almost dropping the bag he'd been holding, a nervous laugh heard as he tried to hide his clumsiness.

"I-I suppose we could just go for a walk, see what we find on the way. Wish to head to Windrise? It's a pretty easy walk from here". And if they got there and had nothing to do, he could maybe suggest fishing, or climbing the tree, or even just clearing out the nearby camps that always seemed to pop up in the area. Minus all that, it was simply a nice place...and that was somewhat romantic...right?

Archons help him. His father was a psychopath and he doubted very much if he even had a mother - so forgive him for being as lost as he currently felt.

The black-haired boy made a confused face as he looked at Teucer. “But… I thought uncles were supposed to be adults..?” Either way, it was nice to interact with another kid for once. Usually, any time Michail was able to interact with someone his age, it was only when he was playing outside. Lia didn’t really know anyone other than Kira in Mondstadt, so they barely had any family friends. And no kids his age ever came to play at his house. So, this was exciting!! Even if it was strange that his uncle was a child as well.

“Aunt too.?? I wanna meet my aunt.!!” Michail continued as he tugged on Lia’s sleeve. However, the woman caught Ajax’s gaze and instantly knew what he was thinking. Things with Tonia were…difficult. Lia didn’t know much about the situation, but she knew that it wasn’t guaranteed that Tonia would come. Lia wondered if that was a good thing. She never thought to ask Ajax how much his family knew about her and Michail… She didn’t think that he would want to keep this a secret, but would that be easier? What angle would he go about this?

“Teucer…have you ever been to Mondstadt before?” Lia inquired. “If not, Michail can show you around the city…” That might take their minds off of the Tonia situation, and it would give Lia and Ajax to talk about what the issue is. Besides, Lia wanted Michail to make more friends. They had to live in quiet due to their situation, but she didn’t want him to grow up in the shadows like her. Friends would do him well. It did for her, after all.

No matter what he said, he wouldn't be able to take away the fear Lia felt. She knew that, yet she still hoped his words would bring some sort of comfort. He's had a family before. He had so many brothers and sisters, so surely he's felt this fear before. To Lia, it was completely new--and horribly painful. She has spent all her life with nothing to lose...and now, she could lose everything she held dear to her.

Lia glanced away, not wanting to detect any pity in his eyes. Doing away with her pride was hard enough as is without him feeling sorry for her. She didn't want him to think her weak, like she had grown soft while they were apart...although, would that be such a bad thing? She hadn't grown soft. If anything, she had only grown more ferocious with something to protect. But she could feel things more, and she found that she often felt scared of losing what she loved.

Violet hues glanced back at him when he spoke, feeling the gentle squeeze of his hand. She listened to him...together. Yes, they'll fight her father together if the need ever arises. She couldn't do this alone, but she didn't have to anymore. Ajax could help her raise and protect Michail. So, she tried to offer him a small smile. "...Together it is."

Kiss Prompts—No Longer Accepting

This was how it always was with Ajax. He would stay around for a little while, but then he would have to go just when she was feeling the most at home with their little family. Lia knew that he couldn’t help it, so she didn’t blame him. This was just the way things were. Lia knew the Fatui well, and she knew that there was no simply turning down jobs. Especially not when you’re as high of a ranking as Ajax was. Whenever duty calls, he had no choice but to leave—and all Lia could do was watch him go.

Lia carried a teary-eyed Michail on her side with one arm, the other reaching up to gently brush her blackened fingers over her lover’s cheek. “…Write to me,” she said to him, and though the way she said it made it seem like a demand, her gaze was pleading. Lia knew that Ajax was strong—even stronger than her despite all of her training—but that didn’t make her worry any less. The Fatui was dangerous, and she knew that better than anyone.

With a soft sigh, Lia pressed her dark lips against Ajax’s own: a parting gift of some sort. She didn’t know when she would see him again—she never did, for that matter—so she wanted to at least give him that to remember her by. Lia went through so much to get away from the Fatui, and now it was back in her life, taking her lover away from her again and again. Maybe this was punishment for her leaving him behind those years ago. Whatever it was, she couldn’t change it. All she could do was let him go. “…Come back soon.”

|| Just to put everything in one place, here's a masterpost of my genshin ocs/oc verses and their combat abilities~ I'm only listing the main ones here, so if there's any that i missed (or any genshin verse characters you want me to include) just comment on this post or send me a message asking for them!! Kira and Lia already have their whole external traits written out, but I'm gonna include them anyway, just dialed down to keep everything together XDD

This post includes Kira, Lia, Anne, Adrian, Alanna, Isfrid, and Kristian~ (let me know if you want me to add any!!)

Kira: Kira can be a support or a sub DPS. Her burst, which covers the area in a blizzard that inflicts cryo damage, makes her a good support (but the effects are even better when she's on the field), plus she can do a tiny bit of healing soooo yeah. However, she's also a pretty good fighter on her own. She works better with supports that boost someone's damage.

Lia: Definitely a support, which you wouldn't expect knowing her XDD She and Adrian are my only 4 star ocs. Her skill sends two cicins onto the field, plus I think I want to add some things where she boosts the ATK of her teammates.

Anne: DEFINITELY a main DPS. This woman hits like a truck. Her skill summons a few fireballs that inflict pyro damage with whoever is on the field, so she could be used as a support for that. However, her burst ignites her scythe and boosts almost all of her stats for 30 secs unless she's taken off the field. She's best when paired with Adrian.

Adrian: Adrian is totally a support. He's a bow user (tho he usually uses a gun) so he's best for long-range attacks. His skill creates a shield that also heals the character on the field. His burst creates an even more durable shield that also raises the ATK of the active party member. It would be great to use with Anne to keep her from getting too injured.

Alanna: Alanna is a sub DPS or a support. I haven't worked out the specifics of what she does, but she's an anemo sword user. I think her burst creates an HP-recovery shield (as well as does area anemo damage). I also think her skill does a bit of healing, but it's mostly attack-based. She would be good to have on a team with Isfrid.

Isfrid: Isfrid, being a pure cryo elemental being (and a DRAGON at that) is totally a main DPS. He has INCREDIBLE ATK power (all cryo damage as a catalyst user) but it has a great price. Either his skill or his burst causes the other members of the team (even if they're off-screen) to deal a bit of damage, and it never goes below 50%. Regardless, he would need a healer on his team (like Alanna).

Kristian: Kristian is a main DPS, but he's a bit unique. His skill (like Wriothesley) isn't actually an attack but a way to boost his own stats. I think his burst also would boost his own stats. He's very stand-alone and doesn't need any particular support in a party with him.

Lia had never been good at comforting people. Ajax knew her better than anyone, so surely he was aware of that weakness of hers. So as he relayed his feelings about missing his family during all his travels, all Lia could do was listen to him. She didn't understand his feelings. She had no siblings, nor any desire to ever face her father again. The only family she had was the one she created, one with Ajax and Michail. But that was different.

So, she simply listened to Ajax as he spoke. His work kept him from visiting his family, and now he had another family to visit as well. Seeing Lia and Michail no doubt took time away from him being able to return to Snezhnaya to see his siblings...and Lia felt bad for that.

She didn't know what to tell him to make things better. She didn't know how to help him see his family again. So the only thing she could do was press a soft kiss to the corner of his lips before leaning her head against his, her palm resting on his hand. She hoped that would be enough to offer him a bit of comfort.

Lia chuckled at Ajax's mild complaint as she dressed herself for the day. The Harbinger was here in Mondstadt for a week or so, partially because he had some Fatui business here and partially to see his family. And as much as Lia was glad to have him visit, she didn't exactly like the idea that he still had Fatui business to complete here...

So maybe she got a bit carried away the night before, knowing that he was going to be going into a meeting for the Fatui. She knew what Ajax liked to wear, and she knew his clothes wouldn't cover his neck...so she was sure to leave quite a few marks upon his pale flesh where everyone could see.

"Maybe that's a sign... Maybe you need to cancel the meeting until those marks heal...~" Lia replied, not even bothering to hide her motivation for leaving more marks on her lover than usual. She had her own markings to worry about, true, but she wasn't going into some important meeting.

In all of the battles she has had over the years, there was only one opponent who could subdue her. Lia didn't dare allow others to have power over her, unless it was Ajax. Even when they were teenagers, he was able to beat her in every spar--and when he kissed her, she somehow always managed to give into him. No one else had that control over her. He was special.

But that didn't mean she would ever go down without a fight. Violet hues stared directly into dull orbs of cerulean blue when the Harbinger backed her into a wall, his arms held on either side of her to ensure she wouldn't escape. However, her gaze was far from one of submission--instead, it was like she was daring him with her eyes. Lia knew all of his tricks at this point. She wasn't going to let him win that easily.

To start with, she didn't wait for him to kiss her; Lia was quick as she suddenly pressed her lips against his, seizing the moment with her kiss. There were other ways to win a fight than capture, after all... And she always enjoyed playing with her lover~
