Her right (our left) eye is very milky by nature and a very light blue. She was born with this and so she grew up with only one eye being able to see, which means she has learned how to adapt to it. However, this is part of why she's so clumsy, since sometimes she over or underestimates the distances of things and may trip~

Her parents, who value a proper noble family (and a proper daughter to marry off to another noble family), have tried to get her to give her contacts or even just replace the eye with a glass one that would match her functioning and blue eye. However, Alanna really likes the way her eyes look!! It makes her different, and she wouldn't change anything about that~

i don't know much about blindness in one eye, but I'm doing research to make her as accurate as possible~ But I'm basing the functionality and look of her blind eye off of Toph's eyes, just because that's the best example of blindness I've been exposed to XDD You guys are more than welcome to give me information about how to better write this, but I think for the most part the way I write her won't change. After all, she's adjusted to only being able to see with one eye, so this isn't much of a problem for her~

|| Like with many of the TWST characters, Kristian is based on the villain (Hans) but ALSO has some traits of one of the heroes (Elsa). Kristian has a younger sister named Alanna who is the youngest in their family, one year younger than Kristian. He isn’t the youngest child, but he is the youngest son and that means something in aristocracy. Kristian was treated terribly by his older brothers, and since he didn’t want his little sister to share the same fate, he spent much of his time with her to keep her company when their older brothers isolated them.

They weren’t ever mean to Alanna, but they didn’t pay her any attention. Maybe they would say something if they passed by while walking down the halls, but no one ever spent time with her. Only Kristian did. However, as Kristian grew older, his thoughts and plans grew bolder. He knew he was smart and could be a great leader (which IS true), but he will never have that chance. So, he started to think about how he could be given that opportunity.

Focusing on giving himself a bright future caused him to isolate himself from Alanna. It wasn’t SUDDEN like Anna and Elsa, but it was gradual until he wouldn’t even spend any time with Alanna. It wasn’t because he didn’t want to be with her. She matters the most to him out of everyone in the world. However, his plans were dark and his sister was precious. He wanted to protect her, as well as focus on his own future.

So, Alanna then grew up alone. She goes to RSA now and loves Kristian SO much, but she doesn’t understand why they grew apart. She has no idea of what he did at RSA (part of the reason they are so distant now, since he’s trying to “protect her” from seeing that part of him) and will argue with anyone who talks poorly about her big brother.
