❀ 𓏬 ❝Are you and Rosie matching again this year?❞ She could not stand to wait until the actual date to find out. Curiosity was getting the better of her. It seemed the couple had a long standing tradition of the cutest group costumes, enough to make Camilla jealous almost.

     ❝Maybe Luffy and I could join?❞ Or at the very least give her inspiration for her own.

❀ 𓏬 Her nose crinkled slightly at the sudden smoke. It seemed no matter how use to it she was by now, it still caused a reaction the girl didn't quite have control over sometimes.

     ❝Another deal.❞ Although if she had her way, Camilla wouldn't allow him to cook his own favorite food. A true treat for him would include Sanji having the day off. However if they work on both together it evened out in her mind.

She had agreed to come along, but it still felt as if they needed a compromise. With a hum, Sanji slipped a fresh cigarette between his lips and quickly lit it. "How about this? We go shopping, get the stuff we need to fix both our favorites, and we work together?"

❀ 𓏬 At some point, he really only had himself to blame for falling asleep constantly out in the open. Or at least that is what Camilla was telling herself as she uncapped the marker, quietly hovering over him. The girl was careful to not press too hard against his skin in feat of waking him up. Lightly doodling flowers across his forehead to give the appearance of a crown.

❀ 𓏬 Camilla was always one to be easily distracted when it was allowed. Like this instance, shopping was always an activity she let her head wonder. Taking in the different sights of every new island, and in today's case, taking in the sounds. The music she heard easily got her to detour to its source.

The girl wasn't sure how long she was standing there listening, but when the song ended she started to enthusiastically applaud.

❀ 𓏬 ❝Why did you pick mummy?❞ His costume was certain... interesting. If not wasteful of Chopper's bandages. But if the reindeer wasn't going to complain she wouldn't mention it. Still, Camilla was curious about his choices.

❀ 𓏬 ❝Do you think it is good thing Usopp doesn’t spray our parts of the garden with his weird weed killer?❞ It didn’t feel like it in this moment. It was hot today, and while she usually enjoyed working in the garden, she couldn’t wait to be done with it. She peered at the other woman working on her trees, wondering if she felt the same.

     ❝It smells a bit too strong for normal plants. But don’t you think he should offer?❞

❀ 𓏬 ❝Oops―❞ She hadn't meant to wake him. Camilla was simply trying to clean the deck. Getting a majority of it without disturbing him, but the job couldn't quite be labeled as complete until she got the spot under him. Honestly, the girl believed he was in a deep enough sleep that he wouldn't notice if she just shifted him over a smidge. Guess she was wrong.

     ❝Sorry!!❞ She immediately let go of him and took a step back. ❝But, now that you're awake, mind moving?❞

❀ 𓏬 ❝Uh-huh.❞ She was not going to spare his feelings by lying and saying otherwise. Especially not when they had a mission to get done. One with very clear instructions given by someone who does make good ideas, Nami.

❀ 𓏬 Camilla listened to the other list off items while she quickly copied it down to her own. She ignored the request for Chopper, knowing that she had just started planting said herb in her garden to avoid the costs of buying it every port trip. Plus the shopping list was already rather long, she wondered if she could get through it all on her own.

     ❝You want to come with me?❞ The girl scanned the list again making mental notes of the stores they'd need to go in to, and how much it might all cost. Nami might not be happy with handing them the funds, but there was no way around it. ❝Even if we don't split up, it'll be faster with someone else.❞

❝Plus if you come with me, you can pick out the picture books for Chopper.❞

❀ 𓏬 ❝Oh perfect timing!❞ Camilla had gotten it in her head that today would be a great day to deep clean the kitchen. She was already a couple hours into the project when she came across the dilemma of moving the fridge. Or at least it was a dilemma until the solution walked in. ❝Can you help me pull this out?❞

❀ 𓏬 Camilla has had a limited amount of contact with Tomoe but every time they do meet it is lovely. To her, Tomoe is someone to admire. Classy, beautiful, strong, and a bubbly personality to match. On top of that, she knows how much Rosa cares for her, and Rosa's opinion is one Camilla values. A bestie of a bestie is a friend indeed.

He will never hear it, but Camilla loves Ace. He is a great older brother character when he wants to be. He sees a side of her she doesn't give many people. She is usually too polite to give others the attitude she gives him, but that is only because she feels rather comfortable around him to do so. She can get on his case about a lot of things but she knows he has good intentions in the end of the day.

♞ 𓏬 Izo thinks Tomoe is very similar to his real sister, and tends to view her as much. He feels a bit protective of her, although tries to minimize it to not seem over bearing or meddling. Her presence gives him a sort of comfort, having another person from Wano on the crew. In general he thinks she is a very capable woman.

Ace is a special soul. Even without his fire, Izo finds him to shine bright. There is something contagious about his smile. The spot of second commander suits Ace, he has a lot of potential, and as someone who has been in the crew for twenty years, it is very apparent how strong of a character Ace is. Might even go as far to say he sees a bit of Oden in him.

❀ 𓏬 ❝Hm?❞ She hummed a response instead of answering, still processing the question. Like he had said, she was a bit out of it. His comment was what had brought her back down to reality. ❝I’m doing fine.❞ It was a delayed reply, followed up by a stretch to wake herself up. 

     ❝It is starting to get warm out, I feel like a cat getting lured into a nap.❞ It didn’t help she had exhausted all chores on her list and had nothing to do. Besides, the grass deck was so inviting. ❝Did you need anything from me? Now that I’m not day dreaming.❞

❀ 𓏬 Her nose wrinkled as she stuck the bate on to the fish hook before casting the line out to the sea. It wasn’t as if she disliked fishing, but it wasn’t her activity of choice. Still Camilla saw the appeal of it, how relax it might be for some, and as someone who always feels like she needs to do something it was nice to just sit for a while. Especially when she had a friend to sit with.

      ❝Does your bear fruit ever make you crave fish?❞ A question half asked as a joke, half asked out of curiosity.

❀ 𓏬 Small waves of heat came and went with the crackling of the bonfire. It's sound barely audible, masked music, singing, and the usual chatter that came with the random parties the crew throws. Laughs surrounding her, while all she could seem to muster is a smile.

Her eyes glanced down at the drink in her hand, her second fruity mix of the night. Camilla wasn't drunk, in fact she would barely call herself tipsy. Yet, the alcohol in her system was just enough to derail her thoughts away from the good time she was meant to be having. The intrusive question coming in like a bug buzzing in her ear, and the girl couldn't seem to shake it.

There was little point in debating what the voice was saying. Camilla was not going to fight herself to prove her worth, that was a mind battle she already played several times in. She didn't require new reassurance when the man in question already gave it to her. Besides, it wasn't like the statement repeating in her head was necessarily wrong. Anyone with a pair of eyes could tell Luffy had no bone in his body that felt any sort of attraction. And he was clueless when it came to romance. Those two facts didn't mean he was in capable of love.

The girl's gaze drifted up to the group once more. Brook's upbeat melody had started a new round of dancing. Their captain out of control movements to the beat broke a laugh out of her. It never got old watching him act out, there was a certain charm under all that goofiness. Her feelings for him were unexpected, but now that they had arrived they were probably obvious. And because they were obvious, to an outside eye she probably looked foolish, lost in unrequited love.

An out stretched rubber hand grabbed hers, and without much wait pulled her from her seat. Gleefully Camilla followed, interlacing their fingers in the process of keeping up with Luffy's eccentric dancing. The rest of the unsettling thoughts finally being pushed away from her mind.

It didn't matter if he wasn't able to fall in love with her the same way she had. Just as everything he does needs a better understanding of him, the way he showcases love was no exception. No one would be able to tell her that he didn't show her love.

ooc: camilla and luffy's relation is a complicated, not typical, romance. everything has been plotted with @astherea 's luffy through many many years of rping together. we do our best to navigate feelings with how luffy's sexuality (or lack of) is portrayed in the series. hope this insight helps !!

❀ 𓏬 The young botanist considered herself lucky she landed on the Sunny. Not only was the deck perfect for having a small garden, but the crew seemed to enjoy the hobby as well. They all had their own fixations, Nami with her trees, Usopp with his seeds, and Robin with flowers. It had been a long time since she ran into someone who enjoys plant life as much as her, let alone so many.

For Camilla, she had interests in all branches of this life form, although if pushed she would admit flowers held a special place in her heart. It wasn't hard to tell, while the girl was attempting to grow a more diverse garden, rather than just collect samples, most of her space was filled with lovely blooming petals. Which were about to get a new addition.

     ❝What did you say this one was called?❞ Supplies laid out on the ground in front of them as she turned over the unlabeled seed bag in her hands. Ready to be tossed in the ground.

❀ 𓏬 A couple steps backwards was taken as she viewed the flower box that now laid on the outside of the kitchen window. Stepping up again to readjust more towards the center. Only when the perfectionist in her was satisfied did she stop fidgeting, walking back into the kitchen to join her partner in this little project.

     ❝Alright! So now we just need to plant whichever herbs you desire.❞ Camilla went up to the window and opened it. ❝Then you'll have easy access!❞
