Slowly the sun set, leaving the castle illuminated by candles only. It was not enough to stop the celebrations and laughter coming from the dining room. The king thought the booze and the food well deserved after many months of fighting. The least he could do was reward his soldiers and his generals. A select few, his closest friends, had been allowed to join him for his personal celebrations. The more he drank, the more he lost track of time and of the space around him. If he recalled correctly, he'd seen his queen head off a while ago, but he wasn't sure where to. As he began to think about going to bed, he realised that it had been far too long since he'd last shared his bed with her.

That would have to change, and soon. Stumbling through the halls, finding it difficult to keep his balance, Nicholas tried to find his love. The colourful dress caught his attention from a distance, making him smile as he stumbled towards the woman he took for the queen. "Mmmh, my angel," he hummed when he got close, and threw himself towards her in an embrace. This only meant he threw his body weight forward, and threw both of them to the floor. "I've missed you so much these past months," he said, chuckling softly as his lips ran over the woman's neck. "I've had... so. many. dreams. about you." Slowly he began to hump against her through their clothes. "Lemme show you."

This was a nightmare. Helaena strongly believed that ten more minutes under the given circumstances and she would have lost her hearing altogether - which might have made the situation easier to bear, because she wouldn’t have heard the screaming then. It was the first time anyone had left Helaena alone with one of her children - mainly because the babe had been sound asleep and the Queen had decided that two months into their lives, it was vital that the princess started bonding with them finally, after completely rejecting them upon birth. The whole pregnancy and labor had been traumatizing for the girl of four and ten and once the children were born, she wanted little to do with them. So the nurse maids had mostly taken care of the twins, or the Queen herself, but never Helaena. She was so easily overwhelmed by them and had only agreed to be alone with Jaehaera for half an hour, while the nurse maid took Jaehaerys on a little stroll through the garden. Her mother was busy with the sickly King, so Helaena had not wanted to bother here and so she found herself in a dilemma ten minutes after everyone had left her, because Jaehaera awoke and was inconsolable.  The girl truly tried to calm her down, unsure how to handle a babe at all, until she had come to the conclusion that she was out of her wits and needed help. The only one she could think of, who had much more experience than her and was a loving mother, was her sister Rhaenyra and so Helaena found herself at her door, knocking politely with a wailing Jaehaera in her arms, who was furiously kicking her little legs. When one of the maids let her in, she looked helplessly at her older sister, holding the babe out towards her. “She won’t stop crying. I showed her all of my insects, but she is still upset. I don’t know what to do.”

hello! i saw someone else told you about this same issue a while ago, but as of march 2023 when i downloaded the DSM-V-TR folder from your proton drive link, the PD section is still only 8 pages. iirc you said you said you uploaded it separately as well to try & fix this problem? did that work out?

did you also download the separate PD section (direct link to that file)? it should be 46 pages

Kaen :

One evening whilst sailing with Vasco and a few of his comrades , a particularly bad storm came in suddenly.  Despite taking earnest caution , no-one could’ve prevented the godling falling overboard during the commotion.  Because they can’t swim , it was entirely plausible they might’ve died had several not acted quickly to bring them back onto the ship before being swept away entirely.  Although Kaen bounced back easily in the following days ( as they always seem to approach death with a smile & a laugh ) , the Nauts … Were not so quick to dismiss the event.  Least of all Vasco , who – over time – took a great deal of pride in being regarded as their brother and mentor.  Feeling responsible for Kaen nearly dying on his watch , Vasco has ever since been uncertain about allowing them back out to sea.

When Kaen wants to make an appeal to Vasco they will oftentimes resort to calling him ‘ big brother ’ .  Not to imply it works all the time , but it does sometimes make the Captain bend a BIT MORE in their favor ( although i’m sure he may argue otherwise ) .

Lhore :

With a little coaxing ( & guidance ) from the other Nauts , Lhore has begun to be just a bit more openly playful with Vasco.  Not exactly a prankster , nor mischievous , she will sometimes pay him back for all the little jokes he’s pulled on her during her stay in the port ( much of her actions being quite harmless , of course ) .  In fact , it should come as no surprise that the two of them have many private INSIDE JOKES because of this.  Typically , too , Vasco is the ONLY ONE who can truly make Lhore laugh , even at the expense of a prank.

Perhaps by accident ( or by fate , who can say ) , Vasco HAS SEEN what Lhore looks like beneath her human glamour.  That moment was important , and stands out to her the most because rather than attempt to bring her in for a hunting bounty or back away in fear , Vasco looked at her in AWE .  This too , further solidified her fondness and growing affection for the Captain , whether she wanted it to or not.

this post is fearmongering. the results of this study are concerning and should definitely be a matter of public discussion, but this is certainly not the conclusion the researchers came to.

the point of the study was to assess the risks of exposure to toxic metals- something one of the co-authors notes are “ubiquitous” fwiw- via menstrual products. Their research confirmed that these metals are indeed present in tampons, but no further conclusions are drawn. it is possible the metal entered into the cotton from the soil, which is a well-known phenomenon; cotton is so good at lifting heavy metals that it has actually been suggested as a part of the solution for revitalizing polluted ground.

the authors conclude with an acknowledgement that the study should be repeated- their sample size was 60 tampons- and a suggestion that further testing ought to be done to indicate whether or not these metals can even leech out of the tampon in the first place, let alone whether or not such leeching could occur at levels deleterious to human health.

there is, in fact, a body of research- too small, for sure, but much larger than this single study- indicating that long-term proper tampon use has no observable negative impact on health. i am grateful and thrilled that more research is being done and i hope that this study is the first of many on this line of questioning, but i am really frustrated at this post and the response it got.

obviously, if this study alters your approach to menstrual health, more power to you. consumers should be informed-risk-takers, and menstrual health is double-obviously a very personal choice. but it definitely wasn't the researchers concluding that you ought to “avoid using tampons at all cost," only this tumblr user did. the lead author of the paper, in fact, specifically says that she hopes people do NOT panic about the results.

(the notes of the post were disappointing. people affirming that they knew they were right to be suspicious of tampons all along, or even recommending alternatives that actually have very little to no research regarding the safety of long-term use, etc. it’s a different conversation, but categorical distrust of tampons is old-school misogyny. you certainly shouldn't wear them if you don’t want to, but there is nothing inherently scary or wrong about them, and people who prefer them are not being reckless or crass.)
