When have they been unable to save someone or something no matter how much they tried?

His sister. He became a thief to pay for her medical treatments. Hunted for doctors across the world, searched desperately to find a cure, a treatment. Flat broke, deeply in debt, such an easy man to take advantage of. Primrose had no chance.

How much death and/or destruction have they wrought?

He's a thief, not a killer. So he says. But Ezel will kill if he has to. He'll kill as a warning.

Do they try to prevent unnecessary suffering?

Ezel will look the other way.

How do they feel about sparing women and children if given the choice? Do they value certain lives over others?

No life has any inherent value over another. A cost is a cost no matter what body bag its attached to. This is his philosophy, so he says, if you resemble a certain appearance chances are he'll let you go.

What's their moral compass like?

A roulette wheel.

How far would they go to save someone they love? Would they sacrifice themselves? Others?

He'd burn the world to the ground.

What's their pain tolerance?

Very high. He'll shrug most things off.

Do they feel glee at the sight of blood?

No he doesn't. The smell and sight of blood overwhelms his senses.

What do they regret the most?

Trusting that quack doctor.

Do they have the ability to love?

Yes, he does. No matter what others might say.

Do they have empathy? For whom? For what?

No, Ezel doesn't feel empathy whatsoever.

How easy is it for them to get lost in despair?

He's very cynical. He tries his best not to let it get to him, but it still does.

What's their relationship to their body? Self esteem? Self image?

It's a husk he inhabits. That's all.

Do they have self worth?

He views himself highly.

How do they kill? Do they try to minimize suffering?

Neatly. Precise. He makes it quick, he has no need to maximize somebody's suffering. Unless they annoyed him then well, sorry.

What haunts them?

The death of his mentor, the death of his sister.

What little regrets do they have?

He almost always regrets drinking hot coffee..

If they could go back in time for 5/10/15 minutes and change something, what would it be?

He'd probably find a way to end the world. I don't know how or why, but Ezel would. Because he could.

How do they view the world? Are they an optimist? A pessimist? A realist?

An optimist turned pessimist.

Are they codependent? Do they have abandonment issues?

Severe abandonment issues but it doesn't come across as codependency but rather severe individualism. To the point of making no friends, no ties to others.

What's their relationship to sex? Modesty?

He's asexual and maybe for the right person he'd try it again. But he has somewhat a negative view on sex. When his sister was still alive he'd sleep with people for the attention because all of his was focused on her. Taking care of her. He craved attention of any kind, even if he didn't like it much.

Do they enjoy the taste of blood?

Yes, hes a fox.

Do they enjoy the feel of hot blood on their skin?

If he was 5% less normal he'd find it so fucking sexy. But no, like I said, it overwhelms him.

Do they like maiming?

No.

Have they tore someone to shreds with their bare hands? With their teeth?

With his teeth, yes. When he was younger.

They had taken her from him.

They had taken her from him with their lies and their deceit.

Every trinket he could find, every treasure he could unearth, every shiny dollar cast away they took from him and they took her too. 

In the grand scheme of things, this meant nothing to them. But it meant everything to him.

In the grand scheme of things, her pain was just another way to make money off of the misfortune of others.

Displayed and paraded around, they didn’t let him see her as she withered away within their clutches. 

“We’re sorry, the medicine wasn’t enough.”

But he was sure they didn’t even try.

Hands on the ledge of the moon pool in their research vessel, black hair stuck to his face and shoulders as he glared at the scientist he’d made the deal with. His claws dug into the metal, bending it under his strength.

“Give her back to me!”

“I’m afraid that won’t be possible.”

“What?!”

Green eyes narrowed, the anger visible within the swirling pools. 

“We’ve already disposed of her.”

Cold travelled down his spine at the scientist’s words. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to understand. After everything, after everything he’d done. He did everything they asked of him! He never faltered, never hesitated.

Ezel could feel the cold escaping him. The water around him chilled significantly, a distant alarm began to sound. “Doctor Reiner, we’re losing pressure!” Somebody called to the scientist in front of him.

The rage of the sea flooded through his now cold veins, his heart slowed in his chest, he could only feel pain. Only feel the loneliness. Everything he fought for, everything he cared about. Stolen from him, stolen from him and discarded like she was nothing more than a temporary spectacle. 

“Quickly, the tranquilizer.”

Ezel could hear the device being loaded behind him, the other scientist’s hands shaky, unsteady as they tried to move faster than they were used to. A frightened gasp escaped her when the ice escaped the pool and solidified around her legs. 

Her shrill cry for help was cut off as the ice encased her mouth and nose, leaving her to suffocate slowly, the tranquilizer gun frozen in her hands. 

“You don’t know what you’re doing!”

“Of course I do.”

The research vessel began to creak as the metal underwent a rapid change of temperature. Shouts of the crew echoed throughout the vessel, reaching them in the room they were in. Ezel leaned on his elbow on the edge, staring up at the scientist.

The man didn’t flinch as the good doctor brought a gun to his forehead.

He had nothing left.

“We have to close the third hallway! It’s flooding!”

Ezel smiled.

His teeth sharp and his eyes unfeeling.

The scientist in front of him suffered the same fate as ice grew within his lungs. The gun in his hand dropped as he dropped to his knees. He clawed at his throat in a desperate attempt to allow oxygen in. 

But there was no hope for him.

Just as there had been no hope for his sister.

Another Sylvanian Family/Calico Critters set: Bangaa Bishop, Viera Elementalist, Nu Mou Hermetic (Ezel Berbier), and Moogle Gunner from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance!

These took absolutely forever to put together. Their clothes are layered and removable with fully painted bodies underneath and most of the added body parts such as ears and tails are posable.

These will probably be the last custom dolls I do for a bit. They were a huge undertaking!
