Jason was in the galley kitchen when he heard the rattle of the lock clicking, which wasn't alarming due to the man having a roommate. However, what was alarming was the presence of the blonde female. Confusion laces his face as she enters the apartment rambling, his dark eyes darting between his friend and the entrance. "God dammit," he mutters quietly before drying his hands and making his way into the living room. "How long have you known where the spare was? " He as he plops on the couch next to her, making a mental note to relocate the spare key later on in the day. His ears perk at the sound of Megamind, which had been listed as a classic in their friend group. " You know they have it on Prime, right? Like, you don't need to carry around the dvd everywhere you go. " He questions, allowing a chuckle to escape past his lips. He furrows his brows at her questionable food combination, repeating back, " cereal and pizza? " Taking a double look, he attempts to continue, "What about a deep dish from Giordano's?"

Evie didn't even bother knocking on Jace's door as she pulled out the spare key to his apartment. Unlocking the door, she just walked on in. "I hope you're not naked!" she called out as her only greeting, closing the door behind her. "I might just pluck out my eyes if I see that." She walked over to the sofa and plopped down with a little bounce. "Wanna do something? I'm bored. I brought Megamind." She reached into her bag and pulled out the DVD, waving it in the air. "We can order a pizza or something because I'm also hungry. Wait, do you have any cereal?"

It would seem that his day had only gotten worse. He had woken with an ear splitting headache sprawled at an undignified angle. He'd worried something was amiss, but it seemed just an odd land that he hadn't seen before. With lots of sounds. Lots of chaos. And lots of newness. That list could be good or bad. And maybe walking aimlessly would not help. But the sound of something falling had him bending into action and sweeping his cape with him. "Here, let me help you."

Jason had been on his way to the rooftop, when the stranger had made their presence known. "Huh?" he says as he turns his body to face the individual head-on, his arms crossing in a defensive manner. Her comment is almost laughable, as it seems to relate to his and Arthur's dynamic. However, he manages to stifle any laughter that tries to escape his mouth - leaving him with a lopsided smile. His eyebrows furrow, his brown eyes fixed on the woman in front of him. "Paranormal," he repeats, almost as if it's a question. "Uh, no," he states before backtracking. "I mean, yes to living here and no to the paranormal shit. What are you, like some door to door ghostbuster? "

Think about this - Rhaenyra leaves for 10 days to search for Luke or any sign of him before she finds Arrax's wing and the cloak, and Jace arrives back at Dragonstone AFTER she has. But who sent the raven to the North to get ahold of Jace?

He also probably was doing so well in the Vale and in the North securing the alliances they needed and probably thought that, because Luke's journey was shorter and everyone was so confident that Storm's End would support them, that he was already back at Dragonstone and everything was fine because there had been no news until the worst news.

Travel time for a raven from Dragonstone to Winterfell if 4 days (add a day if Jace is at the Wall per the show for the raven to fly) so 5 days, if the raven was sent immediately (and it likely was, though probably not from Rhaenyra since she probably left immediately). Jace obviously traveled to the Wall with Cregan, which means Vermax was probably still at Winterfell (unless he flew ahead but unlikely as dragons did not like going near the wall and Vermax was young), which means they went by horse, which is 16-22 days of travel time. I suspect Jace was in the North at least 2-3 months after his time in the Vale (probably a week), and Sisteron and White Harbor briefly (like 2-3 days each), so 2 weeks before he gets to Winterfell, where he is for 2-3 months because he is said to have been hunting with Cregan as well, especially when 3 weeks of that was travel BACK to Winterfell so he could return to Dragonstone.

In retrospect, it's only like 55ish hours from Dragonstone to Storm's End on Dragonback, and then how long did Borros wait to send the raven to Rhaenyra at Dragonstone in the first place after Luke was killed by Vhagar and Aemond? How long did Aemond wait to go inside and inform the lord of Storm's End what had occured just outside his walls? He wasn't stupid - he knew that was like to shedding the first blood of the war (who really counts what happened in the small council, especially since that wasn't common knowledge / Aemond wasn't there anyway?).

New Verse!

Jacaerys Velaryon, Resurrected Verse

After the Battle of the Gullet, Jacaerys dies, and his body washes up on the shores of Pentos. Eventually having been found by a group of people and brought to a Red Priest. After weeks of trying, Jacaerys is revived. However, for weeks he is unable to function and essentially lies in a coma. When he comes to, Jace remembers bits and pieces of his life. It doesn't all come back at once, but Jace remembers enough to know who he is. Jacaerys also now has one brown eye, and one violet eye, showing his Targaryen blood, a result of the magic that brought him back so far into death.

After several months, close to a year, Jacaerys finally gets back to more of himself physically. With no dragon, and more of his memories coming back Jace returns to Westeros but stays hidden. He does not really know what to think about everything that happened to him. His mother and everyone he once knew were now dead. His little brother Aegon had the throne. So Jacaerys stays away from the Capital trying to get used to everything again and fill in the gaps of his still missing memories. For now, Jace stays in an old hunter's cabin in the woods, doing small jobs for pay, which sometimes includes hunting down bandits.
