been thinking about the differences between SASASAP and ISAT lately. because looking just at ISAT and the two hats ending, you'd think loop went through the exact same house as our siffrin, but looking at SASASAP, it's different. it's mixed up. it's obviously a condensed prototype.
but. that doesn't have to mean it's a different universe entirely.
maybe that's just what happens after a thousand loops.
the house warped in act 5. siffrin lost their shit and the house got changed and corrupted, far past its baseline king uncanniness. so it wouldn't be too out-of-the-question for it to be able to warp in more subtle ways as well, due to a more subtle breakdown.
like a jpeg uploaded and downloaded a thousand times, siffrin changed, and the loops changed. over a thousand loops of efficiency, the house got more efficient. rooms combining. items moving. data compressing. and of course, run in a changed house, the script changed as well. it did so slowly, one bit at a time, over a thousand loops of zoned-out half-listening – and by the time siffrin would have noticed each difference, they were already used to it. (and in the moments that they did look at a room that was less familiar than it should be and realize that they had no idea where to find the key, well. that's just classic siffrin, isn't it.)
through sheer repetition, siffrin was corrupted, and the loops and the house along with them. all purpose lost, all signals distorted, until finally they couldn't recognize the meaning in any of it. it was all noise and despair.
so they made a wish. and the loop restarted. not just a reboot, but something more complete.
the data was backed up onto a star – a guide, a warning, a reference – and the loops were factory reset. and for the first time in a thousand loops, siffrin woke up to a clear mind and the crisp sound of birdsong.

Blank Scripts Au OC!! - @blackkatdraws2 @blackkatdraws
Mason Cole - 25 years old -
Mason is one of Joseph’s more determined janitors. He was an aspiring doctor, having gotten this job (biggest mistake of his life) to afford medical school.
He isn’t the most social person but often conversed with Joseph on the off chance that they worked together.
After doing a couple of normal cleanups for people in the neighbourhood and throughout the city, Mason was soon called in by Joseph for a bigger job. A much bigger job.
This is where Mason meets Black. Almost instantly Mason gets a horrible feeling, something about this person just set off alarm bells (especially when Black registered them as a “guest,” what was that even for? Judging by their uniforms and supplies Mason and the other Janitors were just coming to clean for a few hours then leave. Why was there such a process?). However, Joseph seemed okay with Black so Mason thought he should at least give this a shot.
He goes into the Parable thinking not much of it for the first couple of visits. Until his third visit…
Mason finds a rather disturbing sight of someone’s body being what looked to be eaten? Digested? He freaks out. He goes to find Joseph to warn him, to warn anyone. But why could he not find the exit?
Now clearly in a state of pure fear, he wanders to find an exit. Hours, after hours, nothing. His body began to deteriorate as Black had gotten rid of his guest profile. Mason is completely unaware and horribly confused. He did know one thing, whatever was happening to him had happened to the person he saw earlier.
His body progressively got devoured more and more. He became skinnier, chunks of his skin dissipated.
Mason was not going to let himself die. He wasn’t going to give up to this weird building. Mason was insistent on survival.
A good portion of people usually succumbed to the pain and agony of being “despawned” but not Mason (for some reason). Black saw this as an opportunity to experiment. Regeneration may be something worth trying out. Black does not give back his guest profile but instead tests out a new regeneration property (similar to how Stanley resets? honestly, I'm making this up as I go, so I apologise if none of this makes any sense (ToT)) to be able to feed the parable without having to get more occupants.
However, due to this being early in development, there are some hiccups. Mason's body does not regenerate properly. Limbs grow back in the wrong places, wounds start to grow teeth (the teeth and hands sort of resembling the Parable inhabitants).
But despite the physical issues (and severe pain) for Mason, the regeneration does work! The Parable can constantly be fed (well sort of, I doubt having one person to feed the entire building would ever satisfy The Parable but at least it won't go hungry).
One problem, Mason is still capable of talking and walking limping around.
Therefore, he is still capable of being able to warn people who come into The Parable, such as the Janitors. So Black keeps Mason tucked away out of the map but still within The Parable's reach.
Wow that was long, sorry (;-;)

Day 5, July 15, Restaurant.
What's a better way to end off another day on the road than to stop and dine at a nice eatery?
Evandor originally wasn't going to order anything, but the others weren't taking no for an answer.
And then User, of course, had to stir up some mischief with Teller. He can never go too long in being well-behaved.
Everybody say hiiii, Belvedere.
As if he ever stood a chance.
Sellen tried to bet on User just to be nice, and she lost $20 dollars to Narry for her mercy.
Evandor was enjoying himself, honest. He might've even smiled a couple of times in his viewing of User and Teller's faceoff. But he started to feel unusual himself, and he hadn't even indulged.
Something didn't feel quite right.
Somebody was--
Watching him...
Fun fact: Evandor leaves papers behind whenever he tears open a rift. Each of them being a script page of The Stanley Parable.
Did we just add lore to the road trip thread?
Yes.
Yes we did. <3

“Where did you come from?”
“Don’t Belong Here” Sentence Starters
"That's easy!" said Mugman, also known by his alternate versions as Blue Jay, "I came from Inkwell Isles." He gestured with his thumb behind himself.
There were no Inkwell Isles in that direction, of course. Jay stood with his back towards some suspicious dark woods from which he had emerged.
Before he got here, Jay had gotten lost in the wrong part of the Isle One's forest. He must have been walking for hours before he finally saw an opening. However, instead of his house or Cagney's flower field, he was met with this little goat.
So, yes, he knew where he came from. Just not how he got here.
