"I think you should just tell him," Octavia states, messing with some of the trinkets I kept on my dresser.

We were sitting in my room, which I shared with Monty. He had been my best friend for years so it wasn't weird when we offered to pair our rooms given the limited space since Arkadia crashed.

"I can't just tell him, what if he rejects me?" My fingers ran through my hair, nervously playing with it.

"Then he rejects you, why don't you try flirting with him at least?"

Octavia usually had good advice, and it would've been good. If I knew how to flirt. I hadn't flirted with anyone since I realized my feelings for Monty.

Octavia must've noticed the look of terror on my face, "Relax your eyes, and flutter your eyelashes."

I did as told and she bursted out laughing.

"Don't blink, flutter, make it look effortless." Her advice was confusing but I tried.

"Perfect!" Octavia spoke enthusiastically, earning a smile from me.

"So what should I say?" I ask, still confused about how relaxing my eyes will help me.

Octavia thought momentarily, "Ask him out for a drink!"

I shot up and hugged her tightly, I was grateful to have her for advice like this. She returned the hug.

"Go, I'll be with Lincoln if you need me."

I nodded and smiled brightly before walking off to find Monty, I checked the bar first, then the rovers, and finally found him in the tech room. Of course.

I knocked on the open door and he quickly turned around to check. His hair was in the usually messy side sweep and he wore a guard jacket. I always thought he looked cute in it.

"Hey, Monty," I greeted, walking over to the chair beside him.

Monty quickly reverted his attention to the screen, I had no clue what any of it meant. He tried to teach me a few times but I just never got the gist of it.

"Hey, what did you need?" He asks, eyes still glued to the screen. I was surprised he didn't need glasses yet.

"I was just bored, what are you up to?"

"Just watching how far Raven can get with our new trackers. It was her idea, she's awesome."

It was silly but for some reason, I felt my heart pang at this. Raven was amazing, she was smart and beautiful, and I was silly not to see it before. Monty and Raven are pretty close.

"Yeah, she's amazing," I say, hurt lacing my voice. Monty seemed to into the screen to notice. It was a shame Octavia's advice went to waste.

"I'll get going then," I say, standing up and taking my leave, not waiting for a reply.

I thought about going to Octavia and Lincoln's room but I didn't wanna be a bother, so I ended up at the bar on my third drink.

I had forgotten how much time had passed, the only thing clouding my mind was Monty, how he didn't even seem to care that I left. Was I just misreading his signals?

I can't believe the boy who has been my best friend for years didn't tell me about his feelings for Raven, the boy who's been there for me for years, the boy who seen me at my best and my worst, the boy who comforted me when I was sad, the boy who got sick with me just to take care of me, it was all nothing in the end.

I was finishing up my third cup when I heard a voice from behind me.

"How many have you had?"

A voice I know all too well. Monty.

"Look who it is," I say teasingly, spinning around on the bar stool.

Monty frowns at me, and I feel a little piece of me get sad at myself for making him frown.

"How many?" He asks again, in a more stern tone.

"Three about to be four, Sinclair!" I shout, Monty shaking his head at Sinclair when he appears.

So not fair, he can do whatever he wants but I can't have a few drinks.

"We should get you to bed, it's getting late." Sincerity was evident in his tone. God, why did he have to care? It makes all of this so much harder

Since Sinclair wouldn't serve me drinks anymore I agreed to head back to our room, I hobbled off of the chair, thankful Monty caught me as I almost fell.

The walk to the room was long, partially because I kept randomly stopping and mumbling incoherently but after a few minutes we finally made it.

Opening the door I stumbled in without Monty's help and plopped on the bed, exhaustion and sadness hitting me like a brick.

Monty started taking off my shoes and jacket for me, and I soon felt myself starting to cry uncontrollably. Monty noticed immediately.

"Hey, hey, what's wrong? Are you hurt?"

The tears couldn't stop no matter how hard I tried, it was embarrassing ugly crying in front of him.

"Go be with Raven," I say between sobs, trying to calm my breathing.

His face turned to one of confusion, processing what I was saying- or trying to say.

"Raven is with Kyle, I got worried about you so I went to find you." He took my hand into him, rubbing circles on the back of my palm, bringing comfort to me.

"But she's so awesome and smart and beautiful." My sobs started to calm down.

He seemed to understand what I was referencing, his face turned to relief.

"I meant her GPS tracker, Raven is cool but," Monty hesitated, "I think you're the most beautiful girl I've seen." He gave me a small smile and searched my eyes.

A wave of red crashed on my cheeks, now becoming aware of the situation, thank god I still had some alcohol in my system.

"I really wanna kiss you," I spoke softly, my eyes staring at his lips, it was his turn to blush now.

I started to lean in until our lips met in a sweet kiss. Every worry I had before now faded with one simple kiss.

I pulled away with a small, cheeky smile. Pure joy replaced every ounce of sadness I had before. My smile was returned.

"Does this mean I can kiss you whenever I want?" Monty asked, a goofy smile on his face.

"Whenever you want." I giggled.

💌 note: just noticed, its already been a week since i started this! i am really happy with my overall progress, i discovered my fav music to study to (animal crossing music with soft rain, ik it's popular but i never gave it a listen until recently), i also discovered my fav form of working out, i.e. pilates, it's hard but it also makes me feel happy, and i am in the process of training my brain to focus for longer periods of time, especially in the afternoon and evening, where i tend to waste my time. i discovered a great habit tracker as well, all of its free features work really well for me. also, my skin has been breaking out recently, which is very surprising since i have fairly good skin and never break out, i think it might have to do something with my skincare, so i will also have to change that, but yeah, that's it for the weekly recap ♡

achievements:

I actually did a lot of work today but I overwhelmed my self and I feel awful all round

created a questionnaire for nprion commissions

updated my goal planner (I just made it more complicated- why)

I created a new goal tracker template (not as complicated as mine, and it's easy to use. It's also on my kofi, so check it out

I started updating my studio homepage and language goal page (will finish next week)

completed edit of beauty city page for the life planner template

hit 10k steps (it's been a while)

practiced korean on bussu and spanish on duolingo

maintained my calorie deficit

cleaned the living rooms, dinning room and kitchen (also cleaned and organized my space)

did Bible study and listened to the sermon on the Mount podcast

So what is fasting?

Let's have a look at the dictionary definition!

Fast (/fæst/)

to eat no food for a period of time: "The doctor said that he shouldn't fast"

Despite the dictionary saying that fasting is for food only, we can fast for many things! For example, I am on my phone a lot, so I could do a "phone fast" and use my phone less or not at all! Fasting is a way to discipline ourselves, and make us focus on the most important thing: God!

HEALTH WARNING!

Please don't fast if you are:

Suffering from any medical conditions

Too young (less than 14)

Underweight or have an eating disorder

Let's continue!

Why should I fast?

Well, there's many reasons why we fast. One main reason is to not focus on earthly things but instead Christ our Lord and Saviour! Other reasons are:

To find ourselves

Devote more time to God

Show are dedication

Health and prosperity!

Fasting is great! As long as you do it safely and right! Make sure to check with your doctor first. Your health is important!

These are the main 3 fasts I've shown here! Next week, I will be doing a partial fast from salty snacks and fizzy drinks so that I spend less time snacking and instead devote 10 minutes to God per day!

I added an upcoming events page to my kpop notion tracker templates (saw someone add MV and dance practices as a database. It looked so cool. Might do it too)

I also finished editing the skincare page for the life planner template

I caught up with Bible study (missed a few days)
